Fabulous House in the Centre of Camden Lock at Main Attraction
Year Purchased: 1970
Why the Owner Chose Camden
The house, built in 1854, has been in my family since 1900. It was in very poor condition when I bought it from my uncle but I could see that it had great potential as a place for visitors to enjoy Camden Lock and London.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
Although it is in the centre of one of London's main attractions it is a very quiet house with all amenities. It is 300 yards to the Bus Stop, 5 minutes to the "Tube" - (London Underground trains). We have not had one guest that has been disappointed in the 4 years that we have operated.
Camden Lock is a main tourist attraction with 5 markets, restaurants, clubs theaters river boat trip's

All the people who stayed at the house with me (9 altogether!) 9 days early in Aug. 2011, were all most comfortably accommodated. The house is large, perfectly furnished (there is anything you can wish, for adults and children) in a quiet street (no traffic), with pleasant neighbours, in a characteristic environment: everything we could imagine to make our visit to London enjoyable. But what I would like to point out, is the owner's unexpected generosity and helpfulness: a true friend to all of us.

We just arrived back home and we already miss our Camden Town retreat !! Tons of room ,everything and more needed for a relaxing and great time in London !! Michael and Joan were so sweet and helpful with any questions we had,and especially when my husband and son got dropped from a taxi with all of our luggage in the wrong spot !! Amazing house with amazing hosts! Thanks for a great holiday !! Jacksonville ,Fl.

Our family's week in London was wonderful and the Camden house was a terrific part of it. It is comfortable, very well-maintained, convenient, and in a really delightful part of the city. Our teen ager and 8 year old loved it. The Brittains were attentive to our needs and lovely to deal with. I highly recommend it.

Just got back from a week in London. Wonderful, comfortable house. Great location, close to shops, underground, restaurants, etc. 2 teenaged girls loved the "purple" bedroom. Would rent this again in a heart beat.

We stayed at the Camden House in summer 2006. It was by far our 3 daughters (18, 14 and 7) favorite place in London! Exciting neighbourhood with the Market and Locks area nearby. Great eats in both the restaurants and market. Lots of interesting shopping. Very close to the Camden Tube stop on the Northern line. Lots of room to "live" in the house. Kitchen well equipped and plenty of food items available to use. Grocery store nearby. Would highly recommend staying here!
Owner response:Thank you very much for your comments my wife and I put a lot of work into the property for you enjoyment
