Location: Mauna Loa, Keauhou, Kona Coast, Big Island, Hawaii, USA (Located just 15 miles south from Kailua-Kona Airport)

Accommodations:  Condominium, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 6-8)

Mauna Loa is set on 16 beautifully landscaped acres and adjacent to the manicured fairways of the Kona Country Club. Guests are surrounded by natural lava rock gardens, lush tropical foliage and magnificent waterscapes.

Our condo is a 2 story unit with almost 1700 sq. ft. The Lanai off the livingroom has golf course and small ocean views. There are 2 master bedrooms both with king size beds and their own baths. The third bedroom has 2 twin beds and the couch folds out to a full size hide-a-bed. The kitchen is equipped with all new appliances. There are 8 swimming pools on the property as well as 8 whirlpool spas and 11 tennis courts.

A short walk away is Keauhou Bay . There is a volleyball net on the beach, snorkeling adventures, kayak rentals as well as fishing. Keauhou Bay is the home of Sea Quest Rafting Adventures; snorkel, explore sea caves and lave tubes, watch whales and dolphins. Also leaving from Keauhou Bay is the Fairwind snorkel and dive cruises. Another adventure at the bay is Sea Paradise which has snorkeling tours and dinner sails as well as night snorkeling to watch Manta Rays.

  • Wow, is this place a wonderful find! Having once lived part time in Kona, and visiting regularly ever since, I can honestly say this property is the finest place we've stayed AND the best value we've found. Clean, spacious (4 adults, 2 kids and an infant and we had more than enough space), great amenities, and a superb hostess who took great care of us. Will certainly return, maybe for an extended stay. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This was, hands down, the best and most relaxing vacation I have ever had! My first thought was to try and keep it "my little secret" but If you are reading this you already found it didn't you!
