We offer three acres of common ground with spectacular mountain views. Chico Hot Springs Resort, with a gourmet restaurant, minutes away. Horse back riding available.
Our comfortable townhouse is fully furnished home with a patio and deck. Our kitchen is completely stocked with service for 8. We provide linens and have a washer and dryer. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and the 2nd bedroom has queen and twin size beds. There are queen size and full-size Comfort Sleeper Sofas in the livingroom. In Emigrant, you can leave your worries behind and enjoy small town vacationing, walk to the Historic Treasures antique store, the Howlin Hounds Cafe, the Wildflour Bakery the Steak and Seafood House-Livery Stable, The General Store,(which has a pretty good selection of fresh produce and everything you would need to cook a great meal) Paradise Mercantile Gift Shop, the bank or post office. It is a 4.5 hour drive to Jackson, WY. Let us be your home away from home. April's 2007 edition of National Geographic's Adventure Magazine, writes about Highway 89 and the Old Saloon in our town of Emigrant as well as having been featured in "No Reservations", on the Travel Channel.
The area offers world-class trout fishing, big game hunting, downhill skiing(Bridger Bowl) horseback riding and river rafting on the Yellowstone River and Gallitin Rivers. Swim or soak in the Boiling River where it meets the Gardiner River close to Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone. Head 15 miles north into historic Livingston with art galleries and restaurants galore.
The Boiling River near the 45th parallel in Yellowstone National Park (between Gardiner and Mammoth, Wyo.) is one of the best places to go for the all-natural experience. The pools have been crafted from rocks taken from the Gardner River. In the winter, the river's icy flow mixes with the searing waters surfacing from the ground only yards away. Soak here and you'll get sand in your suit and hot and cold waters will alternately heat you up and freeze you. The view is amazing, and there might even be elk and bison across the river.
If you're into cross-country skiing and snowmobiling, you can access miles of trails just minutes away in the Gallatin National Forest. In Yellowstone, you can take a guided snowmobile tour into the backcountry or take a ride in the heated snowcats and explore Yellowstone during the winter. At The Mammoth Hotel or in Gardiner at the fly shop, you can rent snow shoes or cross country equipment. Don't forget to warm yourself up afterwards at the fire in the Hotel lobby.
Many guests use this home as a 'base' from which to explore the entire area - all of Yellowstone, Grand Teton Park, the incredible Beartooth Highway and the communities around Bozeman and Livingston Montana.

Spectacular Paradise Valley--Vacationing in the Mt Rockies
Year Purchased: 2005
Why the Owner Chose Paradise Valley
Rudy and I had spent 3 summers vacationing in Montana (Glacier National Park and in Yellowstone). On a trip to Yellowstone in 2005, we were staying in Paradise Valley and watching the townhouses, at Avalon Villas, being built. We were so taken with the breath taking views, the wildlife and Emigrant, that we decided that we wanted to own our own small piece of Montana. Two months later we called the developer and asked her if any of the townhouses were available. There were two left. We chose an end unit, thinking that we would have more light and views of the Big Sky. This all took place while driving on the Washington, DC Beltway. When I turned to my husband to ask him if we he thought that we had made the right decision, he said, "look out the window." In the lane next to our vehicle, was a semi-truck from Billings, Montana. I guess that was our sign.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
Our vacation rental sits across from Emigrant Peak standing majestically at 11,000 feet. We offer high end furnishings, comfortable beds and a kitchen stocked with everything that we could think of. Our guests are able to cook a gourmet meal or a light breakfast. For those of you who are from the city, we offer a small town setting, and for those of you from small towns, Emigrant is even smaller than that. The people are very friendly! Shop for gifts, antiques, fishing gear, food, rent DVDs, or go fishing. The Old Saloon, mentioned in "National Geogrphic Adventure Magazine", offers the best Western Omelets. We are 3 miles from a world class resort with fine dining or lighter fare around the hot spring mineral pools. Go horse back riding or book a rafting trip. Yellowstone is just down the road, or so it seems as you are admiring the views of Paradise Valley, while driving south to the Park. One of the best things about our location is that we are only 20 minutes away from Livingston, MT, a town of approximately 7,800 people, which offers almost everything you want, live theatre, movies, shopping of all kinds, museums and great restaurants! We hope that you enjoy your stay!

We rented for a week for our family hunting trip to Montana. This is a very nice townhome. Clean, fully equipped, and as described in the ad. We had a great time on our stay. Elk hunting experience for our teenage kids was great. The neighbors were very friendly aso. Small town atmosphere is where we are comfortable, and that is what we found. Thanks for a great vacation.
Owner response:Thank you Dave. We are glad that your hunting trip was so succesful and that you enjoyed staying at the townhouse. Lisa and Rudy

This house in Emigrant was an excellent place to spend a week visiting Yellowstone and the surrounding area. The location was perfect - easy driving to Yellowstone or into the town of Livingston, and Emigrant itself was a lovely friendly place with very good amenities for its size - would particularly recommend the local bakery! The house itself was just as described - very clean and comfortable, with kitchen cupboards and drawers well stocked with everything we could need, including plenty of spices, seasoning, tea, coffee etc. And the view from our bedroom balcony in the morning was amazing - seeing the mist in the valley and watching the sun rise over the mountains. The owners had done everything they could to make this a real home from home, and I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a rental in this area.
Owner response:Thank you Tricia and Sam, We are so glad that you reserved your week early, so that you could spend exactly the time you wanted in Paradise Valley. Thank you for your kind words and we are happy that you felt you found a home away from home. Lisa and Rudy

Hi Lisa and Rudy! Our family had a wonderful trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone. Your townhome was the perfect "home away from home"! Even though it was a 30 minute drive to Yellowstone everyday, it was a beautiful drive through Paradise Valley. Staying away from the hustle of the park was great and we felt your townhome was perfect. We also didn't realize there would be so many items in the house to use, especially for cooking. We did spend one evening at Chico Hot Springs, at the pool, and a couple dinners at the Grille. Very enjoyable. We did get to most of Yellowstone in our time there. Even hiked up Mt. Washburn, which was quite an achievement for this 60 year old! I was very proud of myself!! We saw most animals, even an eagle in its nest, but didn't get to see a bear. Anneli was very helpful with a few questions we had and even said we could we could recycle our bottles, plastic, etc. She'd take care of it after we left. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us. So enjoyed reading all the travel info, Rudy's book and the guest book in our down time. Sincerely, Judy \From MO

We really had a great time in this house in Montana. The house is very comfortable, and there are many beautiful places around the area like Yellowstone and Paradise Valley. Lots of hiking trails and nature. The nearby town of Livingston is quite nice and has all I needed, even an organic store. The house has a very personal, warm feeling to it, unlike other company managed vacation homes we have stayed. I highly recommend the place for those who want to vacation in the beautiful state of Montana.

Clean, safe, comfortable, stylishly decorated townhome with all the conveniences, space and comfort of home for the price of a large hotel efficiency suite. Rental process was well managed from start to finish and owners are friendly and very helpful in ensuring you have a fun vacation at their home. Beautiful area. Approx. 30 minutes from Yellowstone Mammoth entrance. Townhouse is located in quiet, very small town Emigrant in Paradise Valley, allowing an escape from any summer crowds at Yellowstone. The gas station/store across the highway is actually a full, small grocery store making it easy to get some quick lunch or dinner makings, snacks or drinks, or there are a couple of small restaurants in the little town. There are books, cards, puzzles, satellite TV and wireless internet access in the home when you need rest, relaxation and a break from Yellowstone sightseeing. I'd highly recommend and would stay again if in the area. Thanks Lisa and Rudy for all the help and sightseeing tips!
