Swim or soak in the Boiling River where it meets the Gardiner River close to Mammoth Hot Springs anytime of year In Yellowstone. Located in the town of Emigrant, you can leave your worries behind and enjoy small town vacationing, walk to the Howlin Hounds Cafe, the Steak and Seafood House, general store,(which has a pretty good selection of fresh produce and everything you would need to cook a great meal)Paradise Mercantile Gift Shop, the bank or post office. It is a 4.5 hour drive to Jackson, WY. Let us be your home away from home. April's 2007 edition of National Geographic's Adventure Magazine, writes about Highway 89 and the Old Saloon in our town of Emigrant. If you're into cross-country skiing and snowmobiling, you can access miles of trails just minutes away in the Gallatin National Forest. In Yellowstone, you can take a guided snowmobile tour into the backcountry or take a ride in the heated snowcats and explore Yellowstone during the winter. At The Mammoth Hotel or in Gardiner at the fly shop you can rent snow shoes or cross country equipment. Don't forget to warm yourself up afterwards at the fire in the Hotel lobby.
