It has been a week since we arrived in Kauai. After picking up the rental car at the airport and making a stop at Costco (highly recommended), we got to this lovely rustic cabin. We found everything we need - 2 mini-fridges, microwave, coffee maker, blender for smoothy maker (!), toaster-convectional oven, new BBQ and a comfy bed. Speaking of the bed, it is a queen sized bed not king sized as advertised but as I said it is comfortable so no complains. There is also a fantastic outdoor shower - we just love it. Location is perfect from our point of view. It is so close to various beautiful beaches on both the North shore and the East shore. Also, it is just a 2 min. drive to Kilauea, a small town where you can find an excellent Fish market (their ahi wrap is so good!), organic grocery store, deli, bakery, a few nice boutiques and Lighthouse Bistro (happy hour from 5:30 -6:30 pm, drinks are just $3 followed by live misic starting at 6:30 pm nightly). Princeville and Hanalei are close by as well. Anyway, we love everything about this wonderful property (well, almost everything...mosquitoes are bit of a pain so an insect repellent with Deet is a must to have). Judy, the owner, was very helpful in answering our questions. Judy - many thanks for making our stay so enjoyable! Wish we could have actually met you face to face. One more week in Paradise!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

" Fan-awe-tastic"time. This is a made up word becuase at this point, there is not a word in the dictionary to adequatly describe it. I hope I have the good fortune to return again in the near future. If I was given a stay in some luxury resort, I would decline as I would rather stay here because of the peace, solitiude, privacy and your hospitality. Thank you."Did you find this review helpful?
