This place is wonderful! This was our first trip to the keys and did we pick the right place to stay. The listing photos don't do it justice. This place is so cute! It's spotless and equipped with anything you could possibly need or want. The pool and beach were very nice and my husband loved fishing off the deck. The location is perfect...close to everything....just a short drive to Key West over the 7 mile bridge gazing at the stunning water. I will recommend this place to anyone coming to the Keys and would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Great place to spend a week or more in the Florida Keys! Very comfortable and well equipped duplex in the Key Colony Community. This unit has all the amenities of home and is very clean and well maintained. Kitchen has all the utensils and gadgets one could desire. Great TV, internet & cable provided. Cabana Club access is an extra bonus. Everything one could want, nice pool, nice beach and very nice dining facilities all within steps of this unit. Marathon is conveniently located in the middle of the Keys with easy access to Key West and all points in between. First trip to the Keys, but we will return and definitely will return to this unit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We spent our 2012 Christmas Holiday in your villa. Upon arrival The property was as we saw on the website, very clean, tastefully decorated, and modern. The location was very close to the Cabana Club, which we wondered about, and the walk was very short and we did not mind it at all. Relatives rented closer to the club location but the property was not as well maintained. The condo had everything we needed and we could tell had a personal touch in the decor. You can tell that the owners really have put a lot of thought into what would be someone's home away from home. There was a television in every room, and my son was thrilled to have a tv in his room. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch and watching the fishermen bring in their catch, and it was especially fun to watch the pelicans eat the left-overs while they cleaned the fish. Our family spent a lot of time on the beach at the Cabana Club as well as the pool. The beach was clean and pleasant. In Key Colony there is a playground which our son enjoyed very much. We went to Curry Hammock State Park, which was open on Christmas day! This is very close to Key Colony. We rented a kayak. They also have a playground. The water around the shortest path was shallow, perfect first kayak ride for our 4 year old son. We spent time at Sombrero Beach as well, which has a wonderful playground. You can bring your own food and drink at this beach, which bringing your own is restricted at the Cabana Club. The area has some wonderful seafood, we especially recommend The Keys Fishery off of 35th Street in Marathon. We have eaten here during our last trip and coming here is always a must. We also did a day trip to Key West. It was wonderful to see the Conch houses and palm trees in Christmas lights/decorations. We ate at the Half- Shell raw bar. Service was slow but worth the wait. We most definitely would recommend this to a friend/family and want to come back ourselves! The condo was most definitely a home away from home!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: We are happy that you enjoyed our villa. We do try to please our guest and make them feel at home. There are so many activities in the area for families to enjoy. Sparky's Landing is another nice restaurant at the marina in Key Colony. Rental boats & charters are available at the marina. We look forward to your returning again. We really enjoyed our week at Faye and Ellis's gem. They have thought of everything right down to Ziplock bags. The decor is wonderful and very appropriate for the Keys life style. Everything was first class, the perfect combination of granite, marble, tile and crown molding; even the step down dock was done the right way to protect your boat. The Cabana Club is great for a sandwich or a dip in the pool. Key Colony Beach is a very unique place. It is very secure due to the single road in or out and a very effective police force. Its hard to discribe what makes it unique but once you experiance it you understand and you never want to leave.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Just returned from a “Fantastic” week at 3rd street villa. Wish we could have stayed forever. The pictures do not do this villa justice. The décor is gorgeous, looks professionally decorated. The villa is extremely roomy and comfortable. Comfy furniture and beds, top notch appliances, and perfect location. Conveniently located near Kmart, Grocery Stores, and great restaurants. The owner, Ellis was extremely friendly, helpful, and always returned my calls to insure our trip was perfect. Just a few simple suggestions: With the airline restrictions on luggage weight, we could not bring beach items with us. Having a few items for guests use would have been greatly appreciated (life vests, floats, fishing pools, snorkel equipment). Also, the shade awning pictured was not on the unit and would have been greatly appreciated with the intense afternoon sun. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Leisa & Mike, Thank you for your suggestion in regards to the beach items. The awning, as pictured, was wind damaged by the recent storm. We are in the process of replacing it with an automatic, remote controlled awning. The new awning will provide great protection from the sun & rain. Our quest will be able to adjust it with the click of a button. Thank you for choosing "Third Street Villa". Ellis & Faye, Owners

Third Street Villa" is just as nice as the pictures reflect. It is clean, bright, cheery and tastefully decorated, with big screen TV and comfortable beds. We really enjoyed the beach and pool at The Cabana Club, which is a short walk away. We moored our boat at the front door. The best was sitting on the deck in the late evening with our fishing poles in the water. Fishing was great right in the canal. You will never be in need of a golfing partner. Our vacation was a wonderful experience on Key Colony Beach, we will definitely return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We truly enjoyed our stay and hated to leave. Your house was perfect for us. It is beautifully decorated and we really felt at home. We loved the canal and the kids loved that it was a short walk to the Cabana Club. They really enjoyed using the pool there, we also caught a lot of fish off the Cabana Club pier! We definitely plan to rent Third Street Villa again on our next stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed at "Third Street Villa" the first week of June, 2012. The moment we walked through the door, we knew we had made the right choice! The house is beautifully decorated, and has a nice beachy feel. The beds are super comfortable and the kitchen is gorgeous and nicely stocked with pots, pans, glasses, coffee maker etc. We had everything we needed. It was wonderful being right on the canal, and we were just a short walk from the Cabana Club, which the kids loved. It was so nice to be able to use the Cabana Club pool and pier - we spent several nights fishing off the pier there and caught a lot of fish. We truly hated to leave, but we will definitely choose to stay here on our next Keys vacation!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My family and I had a really pleasant time here. This was our first time to the Keys, and the villa made us feel at home. The place is very clean and relaxing. We have three boys that love to fish, so everytime we came back to the villa they were fishing. We also enjoyed the pool and the private beach. I really enjoyed the pool and beach because it's not crowded and feels like your own. I would have to say that we are really looking forward to our next trip and this is the place I want my family and I to stay at.
