We have stayed at this property numerous times and have enjoyed each and every visit. Cedar Key is a very unique destination and Serenity is the perfect place to stay. This condo is very comfortable, well equipped, beautifully decorated, and has an amazing view!

We really enjoyed our stay at Serenity. The condo is beautiful and had everything we needed. We loved watching the sunrises and birds from the balcony. We even saw 2 dolphins playing in the water right in front of us. We enjoyed our trip to Manatee Springs Park and saw some manatees. The kayak trip through the maze of islands we see from the balcony was wonderful. The dining experience next door at Cedar Grove was a real treat. Fabulous! Far exceeded our expectation. From the balcony, the views are superb - we identified 37 species of birds all in a few days. Hard to tear ourselves away from the balcony views. Always a show going on as the tide goes out and comes in. What a fabulous weekend! My boyfriend brought me here for my 26th birthday and I'm in love! This hidden gem is amazing. We love how close and easy the boat launching area was. We had much success in our fishing adventures. What we loved the most was hanging out on the balcony and around the condo. We have so many great photos. Departure Day is usually sweetly sad. Leaving after a weekend of Serenity is no exception. We loved the sunsets from the balcony.. and the sunrises!!! We wanted to take-in all of Cedar Key and we almost did! People are so friendly here, and we always felt like we were living in "island time" a far cry from the rushed feeling of regular life. A beautiful condo, everything you need, the food, the nature, the kitty-cats on the beach, puttin' around on a golf cart, catching dinner and cooking and eating it! Everything! Loved it! Thank you!

Serenity is a lovely unit containing everything one could want. Spectacular view from balcony is best on island. Saw 33 bird species, most right from balcony. Everything was even better than expected from photos and descriptions. Owners very friendly and helpful. No negatives!

Thanks for a wonderful four nights at Serenity - everything was perfect. We were lucky to have beautiful weather so enjoyed lovely mornings and evenings on the balcony, taking in the incredible view. which we think is the best on the island. We felt very much at home with the decor and furnishings of Serenity, and had everything we could need or wish for. We thought the food at the Island Room at Cedar Cove was by far the best food on the island. The best crab cakes and hearts of palm salad we've ever had... and the only authentic key lime pie on Cedar Key. We came for stone crab and were not disappointed with those we bought at Robinson's Seafood (we enjoyed them on our balcony on a beautiful evening). We were also very impressed with the fine selection of books at Curmudgeon's. A highlight for us was seeing 33 species of birds, most right from our balcony!

We love this place. The great hting is you can stay busy, busy doing so many things or you can just kick back and take in all God's creations. What an awesome experience we had from touring the backwaters on Brain's air boat to bike riding on island and having hte world's best clam chowder at Tony's. We will be reliving this vacation for weeks and month to come. We shall return!!

Thank you very much for providing us with a beautiful place. We had a great extended weekend! We caught sea trout that was delightful! It was really nice of your to put together the book with all the info. We appreciated all the inside info; which was very accurate! Golf carts are a must. Tony's clam chowder also a must. The clams here are better than they are in New England. I was shocked!

I have never been to Cedar Key, but this was a weekend to remember. As stated in previous entries, the balcony and view are spectacular. Our family rented a boat through Cedar Key Marina, and the thoroughly enjoyed cruising the channel and "shell-hunting" on the islands. This condo felt just like a home; comfy beds, and the personal touches that were left throughout the entire house. Tony's Clam Chowder was definitely the best I've ever had. No need for a gym in Cedar Key, that's why the stairs are there (family joke). Thank you for sharing your "humble abode" we greatly appreciate it!

Had a GREAT weekend in Cedar Key at Serenity. The condo DEF exceeded my expectations!! The attention to detail from all the great artwork, the sharp looking new tile, the cleverly whitewashed wood accents on the cabins, etc. was superb! You guys really have a wonderful place, and that view must be the best on the island!!! In fact we spent so much time on the porch that we got through all 150+ songs on that killer Buffet disk. Did all the usual weekend stuff, ate at Tony’s (believe the hype on the Chowder, it's far and away the best food item going on the island), rented a golf cart Saturday (the $50 for 24 hours is a HUGE bargin), bought clams to cook in Saturday night…we stayed out late Friday after befriending a group of townies at the Oyster bar and ended up closing down Coconuts with them. Ran into two of them the next day that both had their wallet pick-pocketed there that night so thank goodness that didn’t happen to us! We’ll be back again and we couldn’t imagine any better place than Serenity!!!! Thx for letting us stay and kudos for such a wonderful retreat!!! Jason & KimTampa, Florida

WOW!! This is a truly amazing place! Cindy and John, you have definately made your space comfortable and inviting. We loved everything about it. From the early mornings, watching the sky come alive with the many different birds, trying to get as many as identified as we could to relaxing at night with a good bottle of wine and sharing stories out of this book. Itls like your own chicken soup about your condo! We Loved it!!

Another wonderful, relaxing week in Cedar Key! This may become a tradition! Cindy and John, your condo couldn't be any better. We thoroughly loved our mornings spent on the balcony bird watching, dolphin watching (lots one morning), reading and doing our sudoku. Serenity truly helps us recharge after a long, cold, and stressful winter. We tried kayaking this year and explored the islands. The kayak proprietor, Tom, could not have been nicer or more helpful. He has a true love and knowledge of the area. We explored Manatee Springs State Park and Silve River State Park - great hiking. As our week draws to a close, it's hard to leave. We started counting down the weeks until we arrive at Serenity in Janaury. We certainly hope to visit again!

What a beautiful condo you have! We have really enjoyed our two weeks here! I love the chairs on the balcony - they're the best at Fenimore. You can see all the beautiful islands and birds. The highlight of our trip was kayaking through the islands - the best kayaking I've ever done. We liked the boat trip to the big island - they even let us bring our dogs with us! We enjoyed the Monday night special at the Island Room - delicious! Thanks for the tip - the art shops are great to explore. I got a beautiful original water color that reminds me of the view from the balcony here. The weather was great. I love the art you have in the condo - especially the pictures in teh loft. We had a wonderful holiday! Thanks for everything!

What a lvoely place! The view from the deck is mesmerizing! I have to admit I feel somewhat guilty when I read some of the previous entries; people writing about the noise live around, etc. We're from NW Wisconsin and we have deer and turkey in our yard, an eagle's nest on our property, and lots of songbirds like cardinals, bluebirds, sandhill cranes, etc. Of course we also have "bone-chilling" cold too! As I write this, it's 24 degrees at home - ugh! This is definitely another kind of beauty - we love it! Love the pelicans, they're definitely my favorite.

One more day left to our 2 week stay - beautiful and comfortable as usual. We particularly enjoyed escaping the 2 1/2 feet of snow Maine got while we were away. Plenty of good walks, good bike riding - we bought a dog carrier and he went with us - and thank for for continuing to remain dog friendly. Midnight has certainly met many friendly dogs here.

We had a great bird week here. Our first day was rainy, so we birded from the balcony and had quite a show. Lots of different species. We stayed til mid afternoon - we were "held hostage" by an osprey perched on the front balcony - we didn't want to disturb him! Well we finally tip-toed past - he didn't mind. Up pretty early - out til dark - visiting lots of birding areas. We relaly enjoyed the 2 hikes at the Shell Mound. We truly enjoyed Serenity - a lovely place to stay and feel at home. My daughter Robin and her sons Daniel and Ben and I came here expecting a nice weekend vacation, but we're leaving with regret that it wasn't longer. Daniel really liked the pool. He learned to swim 5 laps across. Ben age 7, enjoyed drinking juicy juice out of a wine glass! The both loved the view. It was so different from our usual. We love your place! This is exactly the small town vacation we were looking for! I especially love the info about birds in the 3-ring binder. I wanted to learn more about birds and this is an excellent place for that. So far I have seen: a brown pelican, multiple ibises, a great blue heron, boat-tailed grackle (they actually came on the deck!), 4 Roseate spoonbills, seagulls, pigeons, and I heard an owl. :-) Thanks again for a great time. Your condo is beautiful. We come here every year as it is close to where we live in Palm Harbor, FL. About 2 1/2 hours. A nice quiet getaway. We have stayed in Bldg 3, 4, 5, but your condo is the "best". We hope we can get this one later this year around Nov. You've thought of everything. Serenity is truly serene and wonderful! Our one week stay could not have been nicer. Our boys caught many fish including a shark off the private dock. We enjoyed a few meals out and especially enjoyed the Island Hotel. Our pontoon navigated the islands and the Suwannee with ease and we enjoyed several day trips. We hope to come again. Serenity lives up to its name and then some! The condo is beautiful and inviting with a view that is spectacular! From our balcony, we saw many brown pelicans as well as a few roseate spoonbills and the magnificent frigates, laughing gulls, and double crested comerandes. Egrets, heron, and gulls are also plentiful. We brought our pontoon with us and took a few day trips up the Suwannee River as well as out around the other Key islands. We anchored on Seahorse Island and truly enjoyed the natural beauty. Amazingly, there weren't many other boats out and the island's only visitors were us! The boys caught many fish including several catfish, seatrout and even an eel (from the condo's private dock). The Manatee Springs State Park is a definite must-see (and swim)! We knew we would love Cedar Key, but we had no idea how much we would truly love it. The island is a treasure for those who enjoy nature and old Florida! We would also recommend visiting the museum on Cedar Key ~ it's a great place to spend an hour or two! Fondly, the Couture Family!

We returned again this year to escape the frozen north for a few weeks. Relaxing and enjoyable. One immature roseate spoonbills, two mornings in a row. Thank you for sharing the use of your comfortable, well-stocked condo, and for allowing pets. Midnight the cocker spaniel would lay on the deck with his head resting on the bottom rail and watch the pelicans.

I can't believe we're leaving already. We've been here for a week and it's been amazing. It was incredible just walking in on day one! What a beautiful place and the view!! What a great time we've had. The girls (13- twins) loved their loft and thought the beds most comfy! We fished from the dock every day, starting 2 hours before high tide like the locals said....The condo is fully loaded and it was wonderful to have so many amenities at our disposal. We are having to say goodbye again after our 3rd Annual visit with my granddaughter and her friend on their spring break. The first year we stayed 3 nights, last year 4 nights, and this year a full week and we are still not ready to leave! It is so peaceful and serene! I had a wonderful stay, too short, Cedar Key is a great laid back place to recharge one's batteries. Capt Doug's boat trip was excellent, lots of history, wildlife and ecological information. Ate at Tony's, food was good and reasonable for what I got. Local clams are delicious and I'm from 'steamer' country! Condo has everything one could want. Clean and very comfortable. I will be back now that I am retired!

We had a wonderful stay at Serenity. It was so relaxing and peaceful. Such a nice change from busy roadways, noise, and alamr clocks. We enjoyed reading what the other guests shared. The star-filled view from the balcony was awesome. We rented a boat on the 13th from Island Hopper which was excellent. We saw so many dolphins along with a baby - they were very entertaining and allowed us to get quite a few pictures. We sure wish that we could stay longer, but reality is calling. "Serenity" is an understatement! The view from the balcony alone makes it all worthwhilte. We've only been able to truly spend one day here (in full) and it was spent playing guitars on the balcony, riding the "Island Hopper" with Capt. Fred (The Best!) and trolling shallow waters for sand dollars. ... We needed this short break so greatly and truly couldn't have wound up anywhere better for my brother's 30th birthday. We're celebrating our anniversary and preparing to leave this morning. A better place could not have been found for the peace we needed and wanted. After we're done with putting away the dishes and loading the linen in the washer, we plan to take in just one more 'drink' of the view from the balcony. It is quite difficult to leave but our 'other life' calls us. This has been better than we expected and we definitely plan to return.

Dear Cindy and John What can we say, Cedar Key and Serenity lived surpassed all our expectations and more. On arrival we stood on the balcony to be heralded with a fly past from a pelican and synchronised swimming from the dolphins. The sun rises were fabulous. We savoured Cactus Rose's muffins and cinnamon buns for breakfast. The Island Hotel restaurant was wonderful and our waitress on both evenings Cody was full of interesting tips and information. We took a Trip out with Captain Doug, used the golf buggies to go to the museum, the boys went fishing and canoeing. Serenity itself was a brilliant place to stay with all the comforts of home. Our only disappointment was that you didn't tell us we wouldn't want to leave!!!!! We hope to come back again - once again thank you very much for opening up your home to us. What a fantastic home you have. The view was beautiful and we had a fantastic time swimming, fishing, golf carting, eating, sunning... all those things that make vacations memorable! We all enjoyed your home and each this weekend - far exceeded our expectations!
