Location: Cavendish, Anne's Land, Prince Edward Island, Canada (Located only 5 minutes from Kensington & New London)

Accommodations:  Cottage, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath (Sleeps 3-6)

Our nicely-decorated (Four Star Canada Select) deluxe three bedroom Chalet-style Cottage is an ideal relaxing getaway with a magnificent view of the rolling landscape overlooking the beautiful Southwest River.The cottage is situated on a one-acre lot with five other cottages nearby.The cottage was newly-constructed in 2002 and a large wrap-around sun deck was added in 2004. Inside is fully-equipped with all the amenities of home, all that is required is the food. From the sundeck,you can enjoy the stunning sunsets reflecting off the water and slowly sinking into the land.

Because we are located in the central part of Anne's Land and near Prince Edward Island's North shore, it leaves our cottage only a short drive to many attractions, such as sandy beaches (Malpeque, Darnley and Cavendish National Beach), fishing villages (New London, Stanley Bridge And French River), amusement and family fun parks in Cavendish and surrounding areas, shopping, and there are many professional golf courses nearby with one only five minutes away.

For your dining pleasure there are many restaurants specializing in seafood and Canadian dishes, or if you wish, you can stop in at the nearby fishing villages and pick up some freshly caught seafood and prepare it yourself. In case of medical emergencies, there is a Medical Clinic five minutes away in nearby Kensington and a Hospital in Summerside, fifteen minutes away.

  • Brian & Celine...thank you for the wonderful accommodations. We booked online 'hoping for the best' and were indeed greeted by the BEST when we reached the cottage...it is surrounded by beautiful countryside and faces a peaceful river with only the birds to interrupt the silence. We were able to visit all of PEI from this central location. We started our days with humming birds at the window and ended them with breathtaking sunsets. The cottage is extremely clean and bright with all the comforts of home. We all laughed at breakfast one morning when I found cinnamon for the pancakes in your cupboard after telling the kids that I had forgotten to pack it. Thank you again for your hospitality.   • We had such a nice time at the B&C Chalet. This is one of the nicest cottages that I have seen on the island. The cottage is very clean and comfortable. We had everything there that we could have wanted. I am looking forward to booking it again next summer. You have the best view on the island! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

  • The B&C Riverfront Chalet is fantastic. Where else can you sit on the deck and see the sunrise and sunset from the same spot? We had all the comforts of home and then some! Brian and Celine are wonderful hosts who were available to us and very gracious. My family will never forget the week we spent at B&C Riverfront Chalet, we were close to everything but far enough for peace and relaxation. It's the best spot on the island!

  • We found B&C Chalet via the internet. The place looked nice enough so I decided to touch base with Brian and Celine. They were able to accomodate us. The house was spotless and every amenity you could wish for was at our fingertips. We enjoyed our stay there and wished it could have been for longer.   • Dear Celine and Brian: We enjoyed our stay at your beautiful Chalet very much. It is obvious that you both really CARE about the comfort of your guests. We have a very comfortable home and we are particular about where we stay on our trips. Your Chalet had all the amenities we could hope for. We laughed when we discovered the binoculars to watch the birds along the river. We said, "What have they not thought of" !! One of our priorities in accommodations is cleanliness and your Chalet was spotless...and so comfortable. We loved the gorgeous deck. The location was so convenient. We enjoyed stopping by the Shipwright's Cafe to take back their delicious seafood chowder to have with our cooked lobsters with rolls and sweets from Mary's Bakery in Kensington. Such sweet hospitality when you gave us those delicious "just picked" new Island potatoes and those awesome bar clams. Yummie! On our return to the Island we would love to stay at your beautiful Chalet and highly recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity to vacation on beautiful PEI. 09/12/04 - 09/21/04

  • I just returned from a two week stay at B&C Riverfront Chalet and can't say enough good things. The chalet is gorgeous - beautiful light wood paneling everywhere, very tastefully decorated, well-stocked, lots of amenities (dishwasher, laundry) AND so clean that you could eat off the floors. The whole front of the cottage faces the river and is almost completely windows. The deck is great - partly covered and partly exposed - allowing you to get as much or as little sun as you like. Brian and Celine were very easy to deal with and made sure that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect - only 5 minutes into Kennsington ( a decent sized town with amenities), 15 minutes to Cavendish, 10 minutes to Malpeque and Cabot Provincial Park (one of the nicest and easily accessed beaches on the North Shore) and 15-20 minutes to North Rustico and New Glasgow - great little towns you'll want to visit. I would highly recommend the chalet - you will not be sorry. There are neighbors on both sides but there were not any problems with noise, etc. The river is beautiful to look at and to boat in, but not necessarily to swim in. If you want peace and quiet, beautiful views, AND all the comforts of home - this is the place for you.
