You’re sitting in the catbird seat in more ways than you can shake a stick at, and what a view you have while sitting there! Look below and watch waves roll in; look ahead (we're on the 17th floor) and on a clear day you can see France. So what am I referring to when I say the ‘catbird seat? You have a tremendous selection of outstanding condominiums to choose from. In many ways you cannot go wrong. Probably the most important thing to you is the price of your rental. Let me say quite simply, shop 'til you drop. Find a price more reasonable than ours, and I will beat it; assuming apples to apples.

As you read through the other listings that you may have an interest in did anyone mention their cleaning service? Hands down, ours is best. On the very off chance you find a speck of dust or a grain of sand, you will be given their phone number in advance. Call them to come re-clean. We have an advantage over other places where different cleaners parade through. We have the same housekeeper week to week and ours takes a personal interest in our place. We reward them well for the extra care they give. We also make it very easy to clean like having tile flooring in all the traffic areas (the bedrooms are carpeted). You will not start your vacation off on the wrong foot if we have anything to say about it.

And while we are talking about the wrong foot, check-in (4 PM) and check-out (10 AM) is a breeze; all done by mail and phone. Nothing starts off a vacation worse than a long check-in procedure. Certainly you have done that before and know the pain. Check out mapquest to see how easy we are to find: 102 N. Ocean Blvd, North Myrtle Beach, SC(South Carolina....don't put in France by accident!).

The Ashworth is similar to about a dozen high rises in the North Myrtle Beach area: oceanfront, indoor swimming pool, outdoor pool, kiddie pool, mega hot tub, lazy river, fitness room, ample on site parking. There are two very subtle differences between ours and all the others. It might not make a lot of difference to you but it did to us. Look at the picture to the upper left; to the right and left of that building are low structures which means the beach is less crowded. Going north on the beach is less populated because you enter an area where there are only houses. The second difference is our proximity to downtown of the city of Ocean Drive, an easy walk to lots of shopping and eateries. None of the other buildings are so conveniently located.

You might think of something to add to the condo before you go that would enhance your stay. I once had someone suggest a bread maker. We put one in. It rusted out before anyone made the first slice of bread. We did not learn our lesson. Every suggestion is a command to us.


My first priority is to make sure we meet your needs. The pictures certainly help to explain things. My rambling on is of some good as well, or at least I'd like to think so. But to tell you the truth.....and I know you like it when I do! I think it is the comments of our past renters that really add to your education regarding how suitable we will be for you. Please take a moment to read them. It will give you even a better feel for the place.

My name is Peter Cole and I am the owner’s representative. I wear many hats: an oceanfront, resort, rental condo owner; property manager; rental agent; dog tender (That is Woody in the picture. Spends most of his day in the chair across from my desk watching me work.) and favorite; loving husband. As a Medicare card carrying senior, I look back over a full life. My chosen life ‘occupation’ (my Mother could never bring herself to call it a job) was to take teens on cross country camping trips; 3000 teens in all, spanning 33 years. My nephew Doug slipped into my shoes as I slipped into my retirement. My friends and relatives worried about my having too much time on my hands in retirement so they gave me their resort properties to manage. My reputation as a good manager/agent grew. Now 12 properties fill my stable. It was 1967 when I took ownership of my first rental property. In the years since, we have bought and sold 11. I come to you with a lot of experience. I do not take lightly the importance of your vacation. I want to match your needs with the properties I represent. There are 16 pictures, a video and lots of verbiage.     • I just wanted to tell you again how perfect this unit was for our vacation!! Our GPS originally took us to Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach and I was panicking because of the sheer number of people...only to find out that we weren't at The Ashworth on Ocean Boulevard in NORTH Myrtle Beach. I loved the location, the ocean front balcony, the parking garage, the weather, the sun and sand....Georgio's Pizza, the ice cream shop next door....Walmart less than a mile away...it was hands down the best we've ever had! We'd love to make it a two week stay next time :) Thank you again!

    • Although we had travelled to Myrtle Beach (for golf) in past years, this was our first time trying private rental accommodation and what a pleasant surprise! The value for money is unbeatable! We spent a terrific week at 1705 Ashworth in early November/08. We were not disappointed in the least. Unit was exactly as advertized: clean, spacious, well appointed, well stocked and well maintained. The balcony was great - our group of 4 ate several suppers overlooking the ocean as the sun went down. The bbq grilles on site were well used - as was the hot tub (which is really well designed - 3 alcoves allowing privacy for several groups at once). Direct beach access, secure covered parking, no problems with elevators, security, great location, all in all - just a fantastic time. And Peter Cole made everything SO easy. We're already looking forward to next year's trip.

    • We stayed at the Ashworth the week of 9/6/08. Our only problem was avoiding hurricane "Hanna" as she roared to the shore the night before our arrival! But, all prevailed, she missed Myrtle Beach and we had a wonderful vacation. We had a total of 3 couples in the condo and I must say having separate bed and bathrooms was a big plus. This condo is very roomy, accomodating and best of all...the beds were really comfortable! The view from the balcony was wonderful and we spent each night sitting out there talking and enjoying life. The convenience to everything was really nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit; highly recommend it and will most definitely visit again!

It is DEFINITLEY the cheapest but the nicest and most well stocked condo we have rented. We have already reserved our 2 weeks for next summer and can't wait to come back!

    • NOVEMBER 21, 2007 OUR STAY IN THE CONDO WAS EVERYTHING PETER COLE SAID IT WOULD BE. WE PREPARED THANKSGIVING DINNER AT THE CONDO WITHOUT HAVING TO BUY ANY ADDITIONAL ITEMS TO COOK WITH. THAT IS VERY UNUSUAL FOR A CONDO AT THE BEACH. WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. THANKS TO PETER COLE FOR BEING SO HELPFUL. HE IS A GREAT ASSET TO YOUR CONDO.

    • We have been vacationing to the Myrtle Beach area since 1986 and this is the nicest oceanfront property we have stayed at. This condo is very clean and comfortable. The elevators work great. The hottub is huge and is easy to get into and out of (for those who might have knee problems or such). Peter Cole the rental agent is a delight to work with. The beach is nice and wide. We have reserved a week for 2008. Definately give this condo a try. We were very pleased.

    • We were very pleased with every aspect of this rental beginning with Peter Cole's prompt response when we inquired about the condo. He is also very interested in making sure that we are satisfied and, if not, how can they make changes to address our concerns. I've never had such a positive experience when renting a condo. We have this property reserved for three weeks in 2008. That says more about it than anything I can say here.
