This view across Alamitos Bay is just 80 steps from Upton's Beach Cottage - Long Beach, California Vacation Not just a rental, but a home, this unique 1920's beach cottage is 80 short steps to the sand of Alamitos Bay and one block to the Pacific Ocean. Filled with charm and history, located on a very quiet street on the exclusive Long Beach/Belmont Shore area Peninsula, the one bedroom cottage has a private fenced garden patio with a small lava rock fountain, plumeria, bamboo and palms - perfect for sunning or dining al fresco. A brisk fifteen minute walk around the bay will take you to the trendy Belmont Shore shops and restaurants. From there you can catch the Long Beach "Passport" bus to the Pier, Shoreline Village, Pine Avenue and the New Pike shops, movies and restaurants. Or, if you choose, do nothing but walk along the ocean at sunset or soak up the sun on the bayfront, then venture home and enjoy the private patio and outdoor hot/cold water shower and a barbeque for a real summer treat! (Yes, of course, there's a shower indoors, too!) There is a small owners' unit in back which the homeowners use when they make brief visits from their second home in Hawaii. Your beach house in front is private and quiet. The owners strive to make your stay a pleasant one. NOTE: If you are seeking rest, relaxation, and the experience of truly living life at the beach, Upton's Beach Cottage is just what you've been looking for! IF you are looking to party, this is NOT the place. The cottage ONLY SLEEPS TWO.
