I visit Hawaii several times a year and always stay here! You will enjoy this UPDATED and very SPACIOUS 1 bedroom home. It is always clean and tidy. l also enjoy the breeze with all the windows open. Last trip while in the hot tub on the upper deck and looking at the stars we actually saw the satellites.... how great was that!! Great location close to my favorites...Check out TED"S bakery for breakfast or lunch and then take a short drive to LEI LEI"S for a wonderful dinner! This home is located by all my favorites. Short drive to HALEIWA town . Sharks cove is a great place to snorkle and of coarse the famous Sunset Beach! You wont be disappointed in this rental home..Enjoy your stay in Hawaii as I always do!!!

Wow! What a trip. Absolutely beautiful. Loved every minute of it, it's easy when you come back from the beach to your own home away from home. Chris and Randy were the perfect hosts, Randy always there for information, even providing books for suggested hikes, and even joining us for some big surf...sorry about your breaking your board Randy! Big and roomy, lots of towels, huge bathroom, washer dryer, and lots of windows to let the breeze in. The house is surrounded by palms and tropical flowers. The top deck is the highlight for us though, morning surf checks, evening jacuzzi under the stars. Binoculars and telescope provided! A couple bikes added to the fun, which helped us get to Ted's Bakery, just three blocks away. I also recommend Shark's Cove for crystal clear snorkeling, and of course Shark's Cove Grille for the tasty Ahi sandwiches. I highly recommend Sunset Terrace to all! I can't wait to come back, and have this perfect experience all over again!

February /08 My husband and I were lucky to stay here for over a week. It was so wonderful to wake up to the sounds of birds and the view of a palm tree outside the bedroom window. This place is great. The breeze blows through the many windows that view the lush yard. The large beautiful bathroom is certainly a highlight. Chris is a wonderful hostess that adds to the vacation experience. We highly recommend this vacation rental.

We are coming back to this wonderful place for the 3rd time within 2 years and can't wait! There is a very bright kitchen right next to the living room where you can sit and eat with family or friends and it is super clean and very well equipped. The grocery store is not far, so you can cook your meals yourself. The bathroom is big and beautiful and the bedroom is huge. We had our son with us when he was only 1 year old and Chris gave us a crib and he was able to watch his Baby Einsteins on their DVD player in the (early) mornings. The location is superb: You can check out the surf or the weather from the rooftop and then pick one of the great activities the North Shore offers. We felt very much at home thanks to Chris and Randy who made our stay very comfortable. They were also very flexible with the check out time, since our return flight was late at night.

Wow what a great place! Quiet, clean, and very roomy. We especially enjoyed the hot tub on the roof and the breeze throughout the unit. Although being awaken by some dog and the birds in the neighborhood wasn't that pleasent but we got over it. Wonderful hospitality! Good Times. Thanx Chris

This is a wonderful place that really feels like your own home away from home. The location is fantastic, Chris & Randy are generous and friendly hosts, and the amenities are wonderful! What better way to relax after a day of surfing than to sit in the hot tub on the rooftop lanai and watch the sunset as the waves roll in at V-Land? The apartment is clean, breezy, comfortable, and well-equipped. Thanks, Chris & Randy -- we hope to come back sooner than later!

Chris and Randy, We enjoyed your rental sooooooo much. It was like being awake in a dream. Everything was PERFECT!!! The place was not only beautiful, spacious, and comfortable, it was also emaculate. The visit to your place was so relaxing and peaceful. It really was refreshing to stay in such an enchanting environment. We enjoyed all of the nearby beaches with the turtles, snorkling, fishing, and just plain relaxing on the beach. We hope to come again during surf season. Ted's was a great breakfast spot to start the day. The evening at Turtle Bay was incredible food and atmosphere too. Thank you so much for your hospitality. You two helped make our visit magical and memorable. Thank you for sharing the snorkiling equipment, bikes, and ice chest that made our trip complete. Your place was wonderful! We can't wait to return.

Thank you, thank you Chris and Randy! We thoroughly enjoyed your rental apartment and your wonderful hospitality. Having traveled several times to the North Shore, we know that it's hit or miss with some of the rentals that are available. Yours was definitely a HIT. We never expected such a nice place, super clean, awesome amenities (wonderful bathroom with tons of towels, washer/dryer, open breezy kitchen and living room), and the roof deck with great views and hot tub. We were up every morning and off to Ted's for coffee and breakfast before hitting one of many beaches. The location is great...not too far from Haleiwa or Turtle Bay, and right on the bike path that leads to Sunset, Pipeline, Waimea, and Foodland). The beach directly out from the house is nice and quiet...with a great swimming hole even in the bigger winter waves. I can't say enough nice things about the house, the owners, the beach, the town. I just love it. And I'll definitely be back this year.

We were lucky to find this gem of a rental. The Sunset Beach Terrace is the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy everything the North Shore is famous for. The location is perfect...far from the maddening crowds and yet a short stroll from the beach and the hike & bike path. We had a great time walking the beach, running on the bike path, watching surfers from the rooftop deck, snorkeling at Shark's Cove, and walking down to Ted's Bakery for cookies and butterhorns. The rental is very well equipped. There is a great kitchen, a beautiful bathroom, a full-size washer and dryer (in case your trip is a little on the rainy side, like ours was), a nice large bedroom, and a bundle of extra towels. The rental is a quick drive to Pupukea and Ehukai Beach Parks, Waimea Bay, Shark's Cove, and Haleiwa. If you are looking for a snack, a latte, or groceries, it is a short 3 miles up the road from the Sunset Beach Foodland. The owners, Chris and Randy, were really helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank to both of you for providing such a great place to stay. The next time we visit Oahu we will definitely spend more time on the North Shore.

Last June was our visit to Randy & Chris's vacation rental. The apartment was so extremely nice. The bedroom was huge, full size w/d was great and the area they were in allowed plenty of room for our luggage. The bathroom was done up nice and the living room & kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed wine on the deck along with star gazing. Randy & Chris were very hospitable and made us feel right at home. Would we recommend this secret on the North Shore- you betcha!!Looking forward to a repeat visit this summer. Much Mahalo to Randy & Chris!

The rental is gorgeous. A true Hawaiian Paradise. Open, airy, comfortable & new/clean. The kitchen is very sufficient & fully equipped. The laundry room was convenient w/lots of space for your luggage. We so loved our mornin' coffee on the deck. Super nice to watch for sunsets & stars. So accessible to the beach. Our son loved the body surfing and bicyle path the most. So, whether it's relaxing w/pinneaple wine on the roof top. Or strolling the beach w/icechest in tow. Your definitely gonna LOVE this place!! Don't forget to try The Chocolate Coconut Pie at Ted's Bakery. It's delicious. Also I highly recommend the restaurant Lei' Lei's at Turtle Bay Resort. 10 minute drive. Excellent atmosphere. Make sure your seated outside. Thanks Chris & Randy. You really made us feel at home.

As suummer draws to a close, we remember fondly our third trip to paradise in July, this summer. Our stay in Hawaii began on the North Shore of Oahu at Chris and Randy's wonderful space. This almost new second floor apartment is clean, comfortable, bright and modern. Thank you Chris for the use of the bicycles. The three mile bicycle path was gorgeous. A short walk to Ted's bakery and the beach are a must. Watching stars on the roof deck is peaceful and awesome. A picnic on the deck is a great option. This is a short walk to Sunset Beach and a short drive to Turtle Bay Resort. Thank you Chris for your wonderful hospitality.

We recently had the extreme good fortune of finding Chris and Randy's rental while surfing the Internet for a place to stay for 3 days in late July 2004. What a find! The condo is extremely comfortable, very spacious and beautifully designed. There is even a washing machine and drier off the huge bedroom. The surroundings are spectacular, especially from the roof-top deck. As for the location, it was ideal for us being only a few minutes walk to the beach and a few minutes drive to the supermarket. (We actually never made it to the famed Ted's bakery but one has to leave something for another visit.) We enjoyed one of the great hikes nearby and of course the quality of the beaches is legendary. Our hosts were very friendly and gracious and even let me check my email on their computer. Our only regret is that our visit was too short. We look forward to returning and staying longer next time and unhesitatingly recommend this terrific accommodation.

Chris and Randy have a gem!! North Shore feels like home. Good local feeling. We have stayed in many vacation rentals and this one is the best so far. Very clean and spacious...Beaches across the street...Turtle Bay resort 3 miles away...Ted's bakery is incredible. We could not have asked for anything better. Thank you Chris and Randy for accomodating our family. We had a blast. The wireless internet was key!!! We will be coming back soon!!! I have not stopped thinking of the view from the deck upstairs since l left. Your place is awesome....Good Job!!

This is a very nicely appointed vacation rental! Randy did a very nice job building this recent addition to their property. The interior finishes are beautiful. The roof top deck is great amenity, the bedroom is large and spacious, and the kitchen with granite tile is beautiful. Our family enjoyed getting to know Chris and Randy; they are wonderful hosts! I recommend this as a wonderful spot on the North Shore!

To come to Hawaii in December from New York City is a dream for many people, not simply because it's a long flight or can be pricey, but because New york is cold in the winter and Hawaii is a warm salvation. So I knew my daughter and I were very lucky to be able to go to Hawaii for almost two months; I just didn't dare dream that staying at Chris and Randy's would be so special. The apartment is bright and airy, especially the bedroom, with its elegant vaulted ceilings. But the peice de resistance is the roofdeck, where often Ruby and I would have breakfast or lunch or just a breather, to soak in the view of the lush green mountains or check out the waves of the North Shore ocean, or in this case, Velzyland, as most surf breaks are named, and Velzyland is not only a famous surf break, but named after a famous water man. Coming from the concrete jungle to vistas out of a movie was, for lack of a better word, great. So you get views, you get a nice place, and you get the hospitality of your hosts, Chris and Randy, which, if you've stayed at vacation rentals, you know is usually non-existent. Chris and Randy make sure you feel like the home you're inhabiting for a minute or a month feels like your home. And that, I think, is really what the essence of the phrase feeling like where you are is a "home away from home" means. So, yeah, I'd recommend this place as a vacation rental.
