Another wonderful vacation at Daffodil Cottages!

We visited last October and had a great time--rented out the back cottage. This year, we stayed at one of the front ones. It had a nice little bonus room that had a twin-sized cot. My daughters used it to play and read in when they wanted a little "quiet time". The cottage was immaculate when we arrived and Evelyn is a wonderful landlady to work with. The kitchen and bathroom are renovated and fresh. If you want to stay in a charming cottage with that real Cape Cod feel, try the Daffodil Cottages! They are off a quiet little road right near the center of Brewster. In the mornings, we walked over to the nearby coffee shop--with a few chickens running around, begging for muffin crumbs! A minute's walk away is also the Brewster Book Store, which looks small but is fantastic. Across the street is a Cumberland Farms gas station that sells the basics like milk, and also a decent variety of to-go sandwiches and snacks. If you can't resist fried fish and clams (we can't!) Kate's Seafood is a great clam shack with very fresh and tasty offerings a little way down the main street. There are many bay beaches and a couple of lovely ponds within a few minutes drive. A week's beach pass is $50 and we had no problem finding parking at any beach except Payne's Creek, which is small but nice. To me, it makes more sense to buy a beach pass and stay at the economical but very charming Daffodil Cottages than to pay considerably more for a place closer to the beaches. I've been going to Brewster every summer for a decade. This year, I decided to have a very laid-back vacation and explore more of Brewster than I usually do instead of driving around the Cape. I was suprised to find new shops and galleries that I had never stumbled upon before. We also tried new beaches. In fact, we spent most of our time right in Brewster and never got bored. We'll be back next year!

My wife and I stayed in one of the cottages at the beginning of June 2011 and we had a fabulous week. The cottage was very comfortable, very well equipped, and extremely well located. It is in a lovely wooded, quiet situation and only 2 minutes walk from several restaurants and shops. Brewster is perfectly situated on the quieter side of Cape Cod and a lovely beach was a short stroll away. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Thank you to Evelyn and Jon.

We stayed in cottage 45 and were very happy with it. It's in the back of the property and has a little garden, outdoor patio with picnic table, and grill. The cottage is small but not cluttered, and has everything you need. The bathroom and kitchen appear to have been recently updated and everything was very clean. The queen bed was really comfortable as were the pillows and duvet. The cottage is off a quiet side street but is central to Brewster, which is a great place to stay on the Cape. We received our security deposit back promptly and plan to stay here again next year.Highly recommended!

My Husband and I spent a week in August on our honeymoon at #45 cottage in the back near the beautiful garden and private woods. The cottage was clean, adorable, and well stocked with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the picnic table and bbq/griss out front for some dinners at home. We walked to different restaurants and Ellis Landing beach. We took a few bike rides. There is a fabulous coffee/bagel shop in walking distance with chickens and hens running around! Very interesting :) I would highly recommend staying at these cottages. We had a wonderful time. Brewster is only 45 minutes away from Provincetown and we were able to go to many different neighboring towns and beaches.

First, we have to say we got lucky and had the chance to reserve due to a cancellation in june fore august. We had a wonderful time at this beautiful cottage! We stayed in cottage 45 (the best one in my opinion, altough the others seemed quite nice too), which was excellent with our 2 kids 2 and 5, they had a huge secluded yard to play, we had a wonderful scenery (beautiful flowers and lots of trees) for sipping our nighlty glass of wine.! The cottage was clean, the kitchen well equipped, the bathroom was brand new, the bed very comfortable and we had a nice big plasma TV and DVD in our bedroom! Other great surprises, there was an outside water hose for washing off the sand and for the kids to play with, plus there were sand toys for the kids that we left for the next! The surroundings were great for the services. Everything we needed was close by. The only downside, lots and lots of people in Cape Cod at this time of year. We had a hard time getting on 6A by car...Walk or bike is faster... Good thing we had the quiet cottage to come back to at the end of the day ;). Thanks again and hope to stay at your place maybe next year!

Not being able to vacation on the Cape for the past 3 years, we were delighted when our younger son found these quaint cottages for his family and we were able to book an adjacent one for ourselves. Of course, having our 11 month grandaughter with us was also a special treat. The cottages are so convenient to Rt 6A and the local Cumberland Farms where I could walk and get a paper each morning, not to mention their ice coffee for .$99. The close proximity to the Bike Trail and several other shopping areas was a great convenience. Evelyn and John truly made us feel at home and I would recommend them highly.

We really enjoyed our week in cottage number 45. The cottage faced the back of the property which gave us a lot of privacy and allowed us to enjoy the landscaping and the rabbits that ventured into the yard. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. It was big enough for two adults and five and a half month old and all her extra stuff. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware, even paper towels, aluminum foil and hand soap. There was a nice Weber grill (the same one we have at home!) to enjoy burgers on. The owner was very friendly and made herself available without being in the least intrusive. The cottage itself was in the perfect location to make any part of the Cape accessible. We enjoyed the nearby antique shops and art galleries as well as the ice cream, beaches, and bike path. We would definitely recommend this rental property to small families. It was a great first family vacation!

Our family of 4 stayed here the first week in March. We had all the comforts of home. We also loved how close we were to the bike path. It's so convenient for biking, jogging, or just taking a peaceful stroll. Our kids had a great time at the Brewster General Store - it's absolutlely adorable. The property owners of are so great, the cottage is clean and well maintained, and we would recommend it to anyone we know. We really enjoyed our stay at this comfortable, quaint Brewster cottage!
