This stunning home poised atop Black Rock Ridge, amidst mountain peaks, offers some of the grandest views of the Appalachian in the beautiful Chattahoochee National Forest.
From the moment you drive up the single-lane, paved road winding it's way to the top of the mountain, a deep breath of fresh mountain air, stunning views, and the sound of the peaceful breezes filtering through the trees will melt away your stress.
Our mountain home is conveniently located in the North-East Georgia mountains, minutes from charming downtown Clayton, just a few miles to Sky Valley, and 20 minutes to Highlands, North Carolina.
As you enter our home, you are greeted by the cathedral stone fireplace in the great room and further drawn to the outdoor deck visible through the floor-to-ceiling glass and stretching the entire length of the house. All rooms have a mountain view from all three levels. There are two full living rooms on separate levels, main kitchen and kitchenette. Likewise, three bedrooms, each with a full bathroom, and a loft bedroom with coffee bar and it's own private deck. All of this perfect for two families or a romantic weekend getaway.
You could enjoy coffee, or wine, on the deck from sunrise to sunset, nestle up to a good book in the hammock, write poetry in the gliders, or get out and explore the many activities awaiting for you in and around the area. You may catch a glimpse of a bear lumbering by, wild turkeys trotting through, and maybe the sleek bobcat, a rare sight. There are beautiful hiking trails behind our home through several creeks viewing small cascading waterfalls, and a forest of mountain laurel, rhododendron, and hemlocks.
With all of this peaceful tranquility of the surrounding nature, still the luxuries of home are found including the 52-inch, big-screen TV, ping-pong table, and gas grill. Many families enjoy our home from year to year. So pack your bags--we are sure you won't be disappointed!

Two night minimum stay. Cancellation Policy: 50% refund with one month's advance
notice; no refund within 30 days.

1/2 rent + $250 security + cleaning fee due at reservation time
with signing of agreement.

Being avid outdoors-men, we have loved the thrill of white water rafting, hiking, golfing, waterfall exploration, and trout fishing.
We also enjoy the shopping, southern cooking, and just plain relaxing.
The combination of mountains, waterfalls, lakes, and rivers makes this location a beautiful place to frequent.
The Unique Benefits at this Home
We are conveniently located to Franklin and Highlands, North Carolina. Also nearby are the quaint towns of Sky Valley and Helen, Georgia.
The famous Dillard House is just a few miles up the road. Driving through the rolling hills of vineyards on the Georgia Mountain Wine Trail is certainly a treat!

We have enjoyed the mountains of NE Georgia since 1992. It has been a family destination for many years, our extended family from Florida to Alaska vacation here for family reunions. Our hometown in central Florida is convenient for a quick escape to the relaxed mountain town of Clayton. We love to retreat and savor the views. Yet the opportunities for activities in the area are many. We have two boys that love to be outdoors, therefore we make it a habit to create memories and strengthen relationships as we delight in the wonders of God's creation.
