This quaint, rustic place is found near Canyon Dam on the river above the Horseshoe Loop, a favorite local water playground. The river offers great fishing for those that crave to reel in a Rainbow Trout or a Texas catfish of the Guadalupe. If you decide you want to participate in fun water activities, then feel free to tube down the river through the Horseshoe Loop! Be sure and pack a full cooler, especially in the summer. This cabin provides an experience you will not quickly forget and will recommend to your friends.

All the living comforts of home are provided, to prepare meals, dine in a family setting, etc. When you retire for the night, the comfortable beds will surprise you with a very restful sleep in a quiet setting. In the kitchen you will also find an owner surprise awaiting your arrival. We will customize this for your special occasion, so please let us know so we can provide the perfect surprise for you.

This is a relaxing retreat for couples, families, or those fishermen who enjoy the peace of Texas country. Enjoy the church bells while swinging on the front porch at noon everyday. Please be aware if you believe your group is looking for a party atmosphere it would be better to look elsewhere. The neighbors are not receptive to loud noise.

In addition, Whitewater amplitheater is about a mile from this house if you want to take in a show.

We spent a week in this cabin in July. It was an amazing experience. The photos do not do justice to this beautiful home. Exceptionally clean and well maintained property. I highly recommend it.

We (a group of 30ish girls) spend a weekend catching up and enjoying the Cozy Cabin! What a great set-up! We were there to float the river on Friday, but could've skipped that all together as we spent the rest of our time on the small dock watching kayakers, reading and sunning ourselves on the lush, green lawn. We played several rounds of spades at the dining table and had just a really relaxing time. Ate at the house except for one excursion to The Gristmill. So - the place is true to it's name - COZY!

We decided at the last minute to take a family vacation for a few days! We did a quick search online and found this awesome cabin! Our teenagers loved fishing from the dock and sleeping up in the loft. We enjoyed ourselves and it was close to Gruene where we ate some fantastic food! My Husband and I would definitely love to come back and relax! Everything that we needed was available at the cabin! The MATHENYS

We just finished our second stay at this cabin and it was again simply fantastic. A great backyard, a perfect spot on the river, beautiful cabin which is much more inmpressive than in the pictures posted, and easy access to the horseshoe area and Canyon Lake make this the grown up way to do the Guadalupe River. Taking the river float down to the first public access at the horseshoe is a must. 2 hours when the river is flowing, 4 hours when only 50 CFS are being let out of Canyon Lake. Either way, you have the river just about to yourselves all the way to the start of the horseshoe. Another 2 hours through the horeshoe if you want to liven it up a bit. Whitewater amplitheater is about a mile from this house if you want to take in a show. I keep forgetting the fishing pole, but if the fish we saw jumping at dusk are any indication, this is also a great spot to throw in a line. Also a great area for rafting or kayaking. At the end of a cul-de-sac, so a very private and quite neighborhood. Scott is always available by phone and keeps this property beautiful. We will be back again next year and plan on extending our stay.

The cabin is very comfortable and nicely furnished. It has a nice, open feel. The kitchen is easy to get around in and well furnished. Because we were there in the winter, we did not go to the river, but it does have a nice ramp that goes right down to the water's edge. We enjoyed our week there and would definitely consider the Cozy Cabin again.

The Cozy Cabin was not just cozy, but authentic. It had a great feel as if you were actually in a log cabin. The property was clean and well-maintained. It was even nice to have towels provided for you! The short walk down to the river was nice too. Early in the mornings you can see all kinds of beautiful wild life. As for the roominess of the cabin, it was definitely plentiful. There are two bathrooms and the upstairs bathroom is a reallly good size with a nice shower/tub. If you want a pleasant, quite place to stay, then I recommend the Cozy Cabin.

We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay at this house. The location is great, there are neighbors on 1 side but the house is still somewhat secluded. One can walk directly down to the river and get in and float away....without all the noise and people tubing on the "horseshoe" this is the place to tube!! The house is really cute and very cozy and well maintained as is the yard. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing weekend and to really "get away" from it all this is the place to stay. Awesome!!
