  I had the greatest time at this condo. The view was amazing. It was easy access to the beach, the neighbors and security were friendly. She had everything set up for you. I actually over bought items thinking they will not be there but she considered everything such as, beach chairs, boogie board, coolers, beach towels there were even seasonings and cooking oil to use plus cleaning supplies. I will definitely be back. Not having an AC wasn't an issue. We sleep with the shutter have open so we slept to the waves and woke up to them. There are ceiling fans plus trans-continental winds so no issues even when it really hot outside. It was worth every dime. It's close to Koolina Resort and the Paradise Cove Luau. There are local grocery stores. I'm so glad I skipped Waikiki because it was a hot mess with too many tourist, high prices and ironically homeless people..

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

  This is a top floor corner unit. Place was clean and inviting . Blackout shutters in the bedroom was a great touch . Although there was no air conditioning , with the windows and lanai open it was more than comfortable. Beach chairs coolers beach towels all included. If you have ANY doubts about this place you have no need to worry . Condo was beautiful!! view were priceless. Swam with turtles everyday. The grounds are gated and secured 24/7 we always felt safe. Cannot recommend this place enough!! Truly a hidden gem! Can't get any closer to the beach :)

  Our stay was only 4 nights and wished it was longer. We just needed a few nights until we joined family at the Ko'Olina Marriott Resort. If you dislike the hustle and bustle of Waikiki or Honolulu I highly recommend this. Turtles before the the sun peeks through in between the palm trees. Pictures shown are right on. Felt at home. All accomodations and supplies in condo was a PLUS!! Ice chest, boogie board, snorkels, beach chair, towels. Enjoyed sleeping with the lanai doors open and hearing the waves crashing, LOVE IT!! Warning, rooster crows every morning and noticed sirens at least once a day and sometimes several. Definitely visit Yokohama Bay and hike to Ka'ena Point, make sure bring enough water and first aid kit. The view at the point is memorable! For someone like me who has visited Oahu many times before I certainly enjoyed the local feel and will definitely return to this location again and again. ALOHA till next time!!   We rented this condo without knowing that it did not have an AC system. We had to open the windows in the front and the sliding doors in the back to get the cool air in. This meant that we had to endure the noise from moving vehicles on one end and the noise from the waves from the other end. In addition, it's very far from Honolulu. The posted speed of 25 miles/hour from the end of the freeway to the property does not help either. You may feel you have the whole beach to yourself, but the strong waves and steep bank won't be easy for the kids. There are not many things to do around the area. Overall, this condo is not for light sleepers, or those who don't want to drive too much on vacation.

  Had a great time. Not the fast pace of Honolulu, but the drivers are crazy. Lots of sea turtles found out from talking to locals that people that live there call it turtle beach. Lots of sun beautiful sunsets and the beach was never to packed. We will be back in the next couple years.

  The condo was incredible and had everything we needed and wanted. Sleeping every night to the sound of the waves (as opposed to noisy street and hotel noises) was so peaceful. Every morning I’d have my tea as I watched the sunrise and the turtles swimming below us close to the shore. One morning was a five-turtle morning (some people stay in five star hotels; I have a five-turtle stay!). A wonderful retreat for relaxing; snorkelling right in front of the building; happy hour on Friday with other owners; walks on the beach; and the whole Island to explore if you don’t mind driving a bit. A reasonable grocery store close by for all your needs; rentals for all beach toys; and even a fun local thrift store for treasure hunts.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

  My husband and I stayed in this condo for a week in Sept/Oct of 2010, and LOVED it! The Condo is clean, fully equipped, quiet and has the most stunning view of the beach and gorgeous sunset. The pictures and description on VRBO are exactly what you get, and the owner/booking agent was a pleasure to deal with. And the rate was fantastic!!!! This gated condo is about a 45 minute drive from the airport... but we didn't mind being away from the busy tourist areas like Waikiki. We actually loved being able to interact with the locals on the beach and not have to worry about battling a thousand other tourists for a small spot on the beach or in the ocean. It almost felt like our own private beach! We loved watching the sunset every evening and we slept with the balcony doors open to get a bit of a breeze and listen to the sound of the waves as we fell asleep. It was so peaceful and relaxing. There were also beach chairs, body boards, a larger cooler, beach towels provided which were awesome! and it was great to have an internet cable in the house as well to upload pictures of the condo and our adventures to make all our friends jealous! haha! We did quite a few activities during the week that were located around the island... which required a bit of driving, but it isn't that big of an island, and the views are stunning everywhere you drive, so we really didn't mind it. We saved money on food by buying groceries for the week and cooking meals at home for breakfast and dinner, and made sandwhichs which we packed in the small cooler that we found in the condo's closet to take with us on our outings. We would Definitely stay at this condo again if we return to Ohau, I wouldn't even bother looking to book anywhere else... and we have already recommended it to our family and friends! We had an incredible holiday and LOVED the condo, it's location, privacy, quite beach and gorgeous view! It was perfect for our 4th wedding anniversary vacation! Mahalo and Aloha!
