Just returned from an amazing week at this beautifully decorated and comfortable condo! Went with another couple to celebrate my birthday and could not have had a better time anywhere. Beautiful view from the balcony, short walk to the pier and restaruants, lazy river with a view of the bay is just over the pedway and was my favorite part...we enjoyed it for hours at a time everyday! Kitchen has very modern appliances, the colors all blend together so nicely in all of the rooms. It's a short drive to Destin which has a lot of nice shopping and restaruants on the water, also took a short daytrip to Seaside and Rosemary Beach. We are already starting to plan our next trip to Destin West Beach. Great memories...thanks for everything, it was truly wonderful.

Wonderful Vacation Spot

Just back from an amazing week in Fort Walton! The resort was perfect for our family. Several pools to pick from for the kids and the lazy river was a plus for the adults. This unit was beautifully decorated, clean, and very well equipped for our stay. It was very easily accessible to the beach, pools, and parking. I would have a hard time going back to this resort and not staying in an end unit like this one, because of the perfect view! We were able to walk within minutes to the pier and boardwalk to fish, eat, and shop! Also, only a short drive to downtown Destin's restaurants and outlet mall. I would recommend this resort and unit to anyone staying in the area without any hesitation!

As a repeat customer to this condo unit; we were just as pleased this time as last time. The location is absoultely perfect and peaceful, but just minutes from Destin. The facility is well-kept, family-friendly and has unlimited options with regards to relaxing in the sunshine. With the lazy river on one-side (bay side) and the beach on another, what more could you ask for? We met a lot of very nice families while we were there - it's definitely a great environment for kids of all ages. We can't wait to return next year!

The only good thing about this condo

We stayed here 2 weeks ago and it was terrible. The unit is very small and everything is falling apart in it. The place was not clean enough for me maybe some would be okay with it. When we complained about the air not working they sent someone over (the next day) and he didn't even seem like a real repair man. He opened the door and said " It's working"! Then added freon to it. Then the air conditioning got worse. We stayed there with the air on 80 after that. These men do not have a very good sense of excellence to their business and don't care about your stay as long as they get their money. This was not our first stay at Destin West but it was the worst. My suggestion is find someone with a condo on the bay side (especially if you have kids). The only thing good about this condo was the decor it was very nice right out of PB but maybe they should have spent the money on the things that mattered.

Owner response:Unfortunately the air conditioner started having problems the week of the guests stay. We had uniformed, licensed HVAC repair person arrive the day we were notified by the guest. The coils had frozen up and it was unable to cool the unit until it thawed. We did offer to compensate her for her inconvenience, but she refused. The guests that stayed the following week had no issues with the air conditioner. As this is our second home and we take great strides to keep it up to high standards we replaced the entire system and have a new Air Conditioner and Heater. It is unfortunate that it occurred but it was taken care of in a timely manner.

Thanks for the use of your condo. We had a great time at your rental at Destin West. With so many pools my kids had a hard time deciding where to go next. The especially enjoyed the lazy river. The view of the beach in this gulf front unit was spectacular. It was great to be so close to the heart of Destin but with out the crowd. We will be back.

Destin West is beautiful and perfect place! Your rental condo is the perfect three bedroom rental unit. Okaloosa Island is spectacular and Ft. Walton Beach is only two minutes away. Your rental condo is beautiful; such bright and happy colors, my two favorites, red and yellow together! My family and I had a wonderful time here at Destin West Beach & Bay Resort at the beach and at the pool and in this area. We love Okaloosa Island and your rental condo is directly on the beach! Ft. Walton Beach is so close and you are seconds from the beach and Gulf! What a great rental condo. Whenever we choose to rent a condo again, it will be yours at Destin West. The best at Destin West!

I have never been so pleased with any resort as I have with Destin West. It is the place I’ve looked for all over Florida and the East coast. The beach is amazingly clean, the water is crystal clear, and on both the beach side and the bay side the landscaping is immaculate. The lazy river is a tremendous amenity that everyone enjoyed. Covered parking is a pleasant perk, too. The resort staff was friendly and helpful.

Took my girls here for Spring Break in 08 and couldn't have asked for a better place to take them. The rooms were beauiful and the view was the best from anywhere else on the beach. And the little ones could still play close to the condo. Had everything we needed! Hope to be able to go back sometime this year!
