We really did have a nice stay in your apartment in Paris. The fact that it was in a quiet neighborhood but close to a metro station where we could get anywhere in Paris quickly made a lot of difference. And the fact that it had two bedrooms, two baths, and a washer and dryer could not be beat! I have recommended your listing to my sister and her husband who will be in Paris next year for the Paris marathon.

This was our first experience renting an apartment on vacation and I’m not sure I’ll stay in a hotel again. The apartment was three times the size of any hotel room I could have afforded at a lower cost. This apartment was exactly as advertised. The living room / eating area was quite large with a large patio. The kitchen was more than adequate and had a little eating area. The rooms were a nice size and the bathrooms great. Endless hot water was nice at the end of a long day of sightseeing. Boyd was great, very helpful and always within reach. The apartment is a short walk to two metro stops, one bus stop and one streetcar stop. We are a family of four including a 9 and 12 year old. We felt safe and once I got familiar with the area felt quite at home. Boyd had a book in the apartment that explained everything and pointed out how to get to places like the post office, restaurants, etc. The grocery store was right there and quite large for European standards. We also shopped in some of the local mini markets just for fun. When I heard “Eiffel Tower view” I had visions of a little tiny spec if I stuck my head out the window and looked left or right, but folks this was a real view! It was great having it right outside our bedroom windows (and kitchen window), especially during the light shows. We opened the patio door and bedroom windows and got a wonderful breeze, at night we used the AC units in the bedrooms (there is also one in the living room). Hi speed wireless internet was also great. Even found a few English TV channels on the little TV (although the kids got a kick out of watching the Disney Channel in French), not that we had time to watch TV. We took the # 42 bus from the railroad station (came in from London) and it provided a great view as it took us to within one block of the apartment. I have no hesitation recommending this apartment to travelers. Like I said, this was our first experience doing something like this, glad we did! Kansas City, MO

I can't say enough positive things about this wonderful gem hidden here in the 15th. After an exhausting travel day with two of our children, my friend an I were delighted to enter our new home away from home for a week. The apartment was clean, tidy, bright and cheery. The owners have it stocked with all the essentials. Nice soft sheets and towels, great water pressure and plenty of hot water. All the information we needed was provided to us through the owners as well as a booklet they have put together for the apartment that includes information on restaurants, transportation, emergency medical care..and more. The view of the Eiffel Tower sparking every night made the kids day! The apartment is located in a safe neighborhood with wonderful little restaurants, bakery's, butchers in walking distance. (we would get up and go grab fresh chocolate croissants every morning). a huge grocery store is located just and elevator ride downstairs. It has everything you could possibly need. The number 8 metro station is right by the apartment. It's the perfect line to head into Paris to see all the sights. Even the kids had it down and could get us back to our home stop (Lourmel). As a flight attendant, I have stayed at a whole lot of places all over the world. I could not have asked for more with this cute apartment in Paris. I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family. Everything was as the owner said an more! thank you Boyd! We will definitely be back!

We couldn't ask for better accommodations. The location was perfect - just outside of the touristy area to allow us to relax after long days of travel. The apartment was clean and Boyd was a pleasure to work with. Everything went smoothly and we were very comfortable. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Paris.

My husband, myself and our two grown daughters spent Christmas and New Years at this flat. It is a great location with the Metro just a block away and a large grocery on the ground floor of the complex. Also there is a biweekly market just outside the building. Boyd was really helpful and was always available for questions/help plus he had a book with favorite local restaurants, etc. We would definitely recommend it to friends and family. Very clean and everything worked well.

My wife and I went to Europe to meet up with our daughter studying in Italy. We had not seen her for four months so wanted to rent a place that felt like home and we could be a family again. We read the reviews of Boyd's place in the 13th district and they did not do the flat justice. It was the largest place we rented while in Europe, It had all the amenities you could ask for, coffe maker with coffee!! a well stocked kitchen a washer and dryer and two baths. The first eve we arrived and I went downstairs to the store and picked up some wine, chees, breada nd fruit and we sat and enjoyed ou view of the Eifel tower. We then walked two blocks to the train and went to town for dinner. We were able to get everywhere we needed by train or walking. The museums and churches were breath taking. Our high light was the tour of the eifel tower at night with the city all lit up. We then found a little cafe and ended up spending 4 hours talking with some locals and having a great time. All in all it was sad to leave Paris. Can not wait to go back for an extened stay and would love to stay in the 13th district again to feel like a local and not a tourist. Would highly recommend this unit to others who want a little paradise in the city of lights.
Owner response:Thank you for the kind words. Two small corrections....First, we are in the 15th not the 13th. Second, here in France, we call the subway a "Metro", not a train , which is what we use to travel out of Paris on.

I just spent 3 days with my family at Boyd's apartment. It was absolutely perfect! He picked us up at the airport and took us to the apartment. It was nice, clean, and had completely renovated and updated bathrooms. Perfect for two teenage daughters! The location was great- close to a Metro stop, a nice view of the Eiffel Tower, and in a gated complex. We could watch the night light show of the Eiffel Tower from the apartment. It helps that Body speaks English, so there is no miscommunication. I would highly recommend this lovely apartment for your next trip to Paris.
Owner response:At 74..... it is the first time a boy with a south mouth from Texas has been told he speaks English '-) Ya'll come ....... Body....er Boyd

The listing description and photos were dead accurate of this very clean, bright, sunny, quiet and cheery property. Other than having breakfast and sleeping in the flat we were not there very much but it was ideal for us. Everything we could possibly have wanted or needed was there.A great place to put one's feet up and collapse after a busy day out and about. Everything in the flat worked well without any hassle. Having a proper and full super market downstairs in the building was a real bonus. Internet access was very important to us and it was there and effortless. There were lots of perfectly adequate restaurants in the vicinity and the proximity to public transport was good. We would absolutely return to the flat again if we needed to be in Paris. We highly recommend the flat. Thank you from a very happy guest. Babs

Two couples chose this apartment because it was close to the Paris Expo where we were attending the "Paris Chocolate Show"...a 5 minute walk... but more important it was a great area with lots of everything you come to Paris for. It is where real French people live an we did not miss the tourist atmosphere of the 2nd Arrondissement where we stayed last year. In 11 minutes we could be in the heart of Paris with all the sights, then back to the quite of a real comfortable place that was wonderful for recharging for the next day. You never know for sure just what you will get until you open the door but let us tell you what you see in the pictures is what you get and more. We could not have been happier with our choice. The American kitchen & 2 bathrooms made getting off in the mornings a snap. Haveing a super fast WiFi and unlimited free calling back to the states was just what we needed to keep in touch with the office back home . Last, but not least, the owner really cared about us. What a difference from some agent who just wants to drop off the key and be gone ASAP. Try it, you will like it. We come twice a year on average and I promise you Boyd's place will be our Paris address from now on.
Owner response:It is nice to know people appreciate the extra effort when you put it out.Looking forward to your return. B2

My wife and I could not have been more pleased......our first time renting an apartment instead of a hotel. Wow, what a great way to go and we picked the right apartment for a family of 4. From the great supermarket just down stairs to a real "eat in " kitchen to handle breakfast and snacks.... things were just like home......That was the key... "like home" ....to our successful trip. The pictures in the listing were what you will see when you arrive....no surprises. We will be back for sure.

We shared the apt with and friend as well. Absolutely loved the location, I was up early getting baguettes and pastries every day. Wonderful market downstairs. One morning I got up for an early run and went to Luxembourg Gardens. Aquaboulevard is just blocks away - the children loved the day they spent there, but mostly loved the nightime view of the sparkling eiffel tower from the bedroom windows. We saw lots; did lots; came back every night to a wonderful place. Boyd is fabulous and takes great care of you. We will return, and I have recommended the apt to others.

We could not have asked for a better place to stay during our Paris vacation. The apartment is very well equipped right down to an excellent coffee maker. Although we didn't have a car while in Paris, we saw all the sights we had planned on since the metro station is but a couple of blocks from the apartment. There are excellent restaurants in the neighborhood, a full service market on the first floor of the apartment complex and an excellent bakery 1/2 block out the front door! The owner provided excellent customer service to include prompt, reliable taxi service back to the Charles De Gaulle airport for an early morning flight. I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends.

My husband and myself and our two teenage daughters stayed at this apartment in June of this year. We absolutely loved the flat, it was a perfect size, in wonderful condition, and could see the Eiffel Tower from our kitchen and bedrooms-which is especially great at night with the light show. The place looked just as the photos showed and was clean and had all the amenities we needed, including a grocery store in the first floor. The owner was very helpful and very accessible. He was the best owner we had on our whole trip through England and France and his tips for area restaurants and transportations was a great help. We would definitely stay again if we are lucky enough to be in Paris again!

"I chose this property based on all the reviews and the facilities. I am a fussy traveller and need my comforts and this apartment didn't disappoint. Boyd spoils you. He checks on you, he ensures you have everything you need and is very detailed throughout. You don't have to buy toilet paper the minute you land in a foreign country bleary eyed and don't even understand the money. It's all there, even hand soap wash. The little details make all the difference. It is super clean as well. The window shutters are so good. Jet lag solved day 1 as you sleep like the dead. The bed is so good I want to buy one when I get home. The water pressure great. Best of all is the fact that downstairs is a supermarket. No traipsing off to find food at the end of a long sightseeing day, it's all at your fingertips including super cheap wine and cheese. I LOVED the fact that I was NOT in the touristy area. After a few hours of crowds I was dying to get away from them. I did not travel all this way and spend all this money to be amongst tourists. I want to live like the french for a week and that is what I did. We took the local bus, the number 42 and LOVED it. The metro is faster if you want to get to the centre quickly. The local patisseries and brasseries were great and authentic, not there just to overcharge tourists. I would definitely book Boyd's apartment again and would highly recommend it. I felt like I could ring him and ask him anything. It was a soft landing after 24 hours of travelling and our first trip in 12 years with our 2 sons (11 and 7). Thanks Boyd :-) "

Our stay at this property was convenient to all we wanted to do and very comfortable for two couples traveling together. The apartment is well maintained and has all the comforts of home. We especially liked the light which comes in because all the rooms -kitchen, living, dining, bedrooms - have windows. From the kitchen and bedrooms you can enjoy the Eiffel Tower. There is a balcony with seating outside as well. The property owners were exceptionally helpful and informative - from waiting for our late arrival due to missed London connections, to showing us the best way to enjoy the tennis at the Open, to arranging a reliable taxi for our trip to the airport. We were in Paris in May because of the French Open. From this location we could easily walk to and from Roland Garros. The Loumel metro stop is just a block away so we also had easy access to the rest of Paris. While there we spent time at Notre Dame, Place Concorde, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysee, Tuilleries, Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Sorbonne area, Luxembourg Gardens, and the Garnier Opera. We shopped at Galleries LaFayette and Printemps. All were easy from this metro line. We also took the train to Giverny to visit Monet's Home and Gardens. So one real plus of this location is that it is very convenient for all Paris activities. Another plus is that when you return to the apartment, you are in a real Paris neighborhood away from all the tourist crowd. There are a wonderful boulangerie and charcuterie right around the corner, a full grocery on the first floor, and lots of good restaurants within a few blocks. The property owners have a list of their favorites, many of which we tried and enjoyed. I would recommend this location to anyone who wants a beautiful place to call home while visiting Paris. The local Andre Citreon park with its tethered balloon ride is also well worth the visit for both the ride and the adjacent park and gardens which back up to the Seine. Thanks for making our stay so memorable.

This was our 4th trip to Paris, but the 1st time that we were coming with another couple, so we needed something more than a hotel room. After looking at dozens of listings, we chose this apt. It was a great choice. It had plenty of room for 4 adults, 2 full bathrooms and a very functional kitchen. The wi-fi made things easy and it was a treat to have the full supermarket in the basement to put together quick dinners: even roasted a chicken & a rabbit one night! The location is not what most people think about when they think of staying in Paris but it could not have been easier to get to anywhere. There are 2 metro stops very close by and we used the tram to save time as well. RER stop to Versailles is close by. Good pastry shops & bistros in the neighborhood. It was quite convenient to have the washer/dryer in the apartment as it really saved time. The AC will be a lifesaver in the summer, but we really didn't need it. Best of all, Boyd & his family made it all easy from the time of sending the deposit until the time of departure. A very high reccomendation for couples and families.
Owner response:Another multi time visitor to Paris that has found the joy of upscale French residential living while being only 11 minutes to the heart of Paris at the Place Concorde/Champs Elysee. That, and a real American kitchen you can cook your own rabbit in......whats not to like?? Thanks for staying with us. BB

This was a great place; clean, convenient, well-equipped, and attractive. Everything worked; landlord is reliable and attentive; WiFi was fast and easy. The neighborhood is terrific, with everything you need immediately available (including a good grocery right in the building and much else nearby). Close to two METRO stops and to bus and RER/Peripherique lines.

Please take it from us...if you're looking for a great place to stay in Paris....look no further!!! Our family, my wife and I and our three boys (ages 2, 4, and 7), had plenty of room in this wondeful apartment during our New Years' (2011) stay. Boyd and his wife were extremely helpful in answering all of our questions through e-mail before our arrival and made sure to contact us each day during our stay to make sure everything was running smoothly. Upon our arrival, Boyd met us downstairs, showed us where to park, and quickly took us upstairs so we could get settled in from our drive. After a short elevator ride we walked through the front door of the apartment....the apartment listing and photos are extremely accurate. The kitchen was wonderful....the bathrooms were modern, spacious, and lots of hot water with plenty of water pressure! The bedrooms and living room/dining room were quite spacious! But the two best things about the apartment were the view and the location! You have a great view of the Eiffel Tower from the kitchen and each bedroom. At night the tower is lit and easily viewable from these same rooms....but don't forget to catch the tower as it sparkles for about 5 minutes....every hour on the hour each evening. Also, be sure to sit down and look through Boyd's apartment book as it details more things about the apartment and surrounding area. Make sure you take a ride in the hot air balloon located in the park only a few blocks from the apartment....just look out the kitchen window while you're eating breakfast or lunch and you'll see what I'm talking about...now that's a view too! Location...location...location....there's a full-service grocery store on the main floor of the apartment complex.....and just outside the apartment and to the right we took Boyd up on his recommendation....we bought a fully cooked rotisserie chicken at the meat market on the corner, bought some fried rice across the street from there and just up the block from the meat market we visited the bakery and bought some wonderful pastries for dessert. Enough about the food part...now you want to do some sightseeing....take the #42 or #39 bus...just minutes from the apartment and you can ride all over Paris. I can go on for hours about our wonderful experience...it will be tough to find another place that can measure up to the overall experience of staying in this apartment!!! Boyd, we look forward to seeing you again real soon!! Thanks again!!!

This apartment was everything we expected and had hoped for. It's in a nice quiet area of Paris, easy access to the metro and only a few minutes from the heart of Paris. There were 4 of us, and the apartment was plenty big. Showers were great. The apartment was clean and well maintained. I have already recommended it to friends! Being able to stay in and make dinner after a long day of sightseeing was a bonus and the kitchen worked out great! Plus we loved the coffee maker! We're looking forward to our next visit!

We spent a week in this apartment and I can tell you : if you come here, you will have a nice stay in Paris ! fthe apartment is spacious and nicely decorated, with 2 bathrooms (which is exceptional for Paris), a big and bright kitchen and a nice and cozy living-room. Both rooms have view on the Eiffel Tower ! What I liked above all is that the apartment is so well-equipped : AC (once again : this is exceptional in Paris), iron, sheets, towels, washing powder... It was freezing when we were there (December) but we found more than enough blankets to warm us. I am French and I wish I could own one day an apartment like this in Paris ...

The perfect place for our family visit to France. Our visit to France was to see my husband's birthplace with his father. Unfortunately, my father-in-law arrived with a severe cold and unable to walk very far. This apartment was a sanctuary providing all the comforts of home incl cable tv for my father in law who had lived in France for years and had seen all the major sites. The apartment and surrounding businesses made a potentially crazed visit as smooth as possible. G7's taxi service provided us with an english speaking driver who could give a driving tour of the major monuments of Paris. We did rent a car for a side trip to Fontainbleau. If you can drive in a major US city, you can drive in Paris. Our host of the apartment was awesome and checked in on us a couple of times to see how we were doing since he knew we arrived in less than great shape as a whole. We did make a modification to the sleeping arrangements so that my mother could sleep in peace. (Boyd, you should think about getting a daybed for the living room!). Oh, and it was great to have a washer/dryer so we could pack less & take home more! Some tips: 1. The building itself has not only a grocery store but a pharmacy (we used the one down on rue Lourmel since we never walked past the grocery!), a japanese restaurant, a japanese grocery store, and a store that sells prepared/frozen foods. There is a farmer's market behind the building on wed mornings selling everything you need. 2. Most places don't open for dinner until 7p/7:30p. Dinner for us is typically 5p. It was great that Le Buron was open all day long from breakfast thru dinner. The food and staff there was really great. 3. The 15th is a residential area so French is spoken although most speak a little English. Try your best in French, they'll help you out. 4. We went to the bakery/patisserie daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner - croissants, sandwiches, and pastry! 5. Taxi stand down at Balard was great for finding taxi's Mon thru Fri, weekends were challenging. 6. My blackberry was invaluable. I used the memo pad for giving the addresses of where we wanted to go to taxi drivers and for deciphering menu items. Also for keeping the apartment info and notes for places to visit vs. a guidebook. 7. Walk! So much to see-Plus we all lost weight during our trip! 8. No one in France drinks Lillet - they kept trying to bring me milk! It was a memorable trip! Thanks Boyd! You and the apartment were invaluable!

We found this apartment to be very clean, comfortable, convenient and safe. The owner and his wife went way beyond the normal call of duty to ensure we had a great vacation. I would strongly recommend staying here. We have vacationed in cities around the world and stayed in some very nice places, this place is great. Boyd and his wife greated us at the apartment and had milk, bread, butter and eggs waiting for us, which was a big deal after an overnight flight with the family. The apartment is close to two metro stops and bus lines that take you easily into the heart of Paris. There is a full grocery store on the bottom floor of the building that's great. Pastry shops, fruit stands and ATM machines are all within 2 minutes walk in a safe area. All in all, we loved it and will stay here again in a few years when we return to Paris. Thanks Boyd

I spent a wonderful week in Boyd's apartment with my parents. The apartment was very clean, spacious and nice and warm. It is bigger than most French apartments having two bathrooms and a dining table in the sittingroom/dining room and another in the kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, various spices etc. There is a supermarket on the ground floor of the apatment complex which is most convenient. The location is great with good restaurants nearby and a metro stop only two minutes walk away which renders all the sights in Paris easily accessible. A short stroll away, there is an interesing park with a tethered hot air balloon. The view from the apartment is great and the roller shutters on the window are a bonus. The apartment has several books on it's shelves including guidebooks and indeed the owner has compiled a booklet with lots of useful information. The area of Commerce is only two or three metro stops away or a 15 minute walk and here one can find lots of interesting retail shops, cafés, bars etc. We also found the location of the apartment very safe and secure. If I was returning to Paris I would definitely stay there again and I highly recommend it. The owners were very helpful and if you need anything, they are only a phone call away.

For my fiftieth birthday, my husband took us (including our 13 year old daughter) to Paris for a month. This apartment made the trip! I had been to Paris three other times, always staying in the 7th, but this time I wanted at least a queen sized bed and a washer and dryer. I was hesitant to stay in the 15th because I liked to be close in, but because of the reviews here, took a chance. Everyone was right. This was the perfect place to stay. From my first dealing with Boyd, there was never a misstep, question or problem. He made everything very easy and could not have been more helpful. The apartment was beyond our expectations. We travel a lot and usually stay in condos, so we had preconceived ideas about them. I have never stayed in a place that was better equipped, more comfortable or better in any way. There are three different types of coffee makers! Really, every detail was accounted for: umbrellas, laundry detergent, stain spray for the laundry, every kitchen appliance and gadget, blankets for a trip to the park, converters, the book that Boyd put together with all the information you need for the apartment, the neighborhood and Paris, I could go on and on! I also didn't realize how important air conditioning would be, but our first week there was extraordinarily hot and coming back to the apartment every day, knowing we could cool off was a blessing. The cross breezes were equally welcome when we had the windows open. Standing at our bedroom window every night and watching the light show on the Eiffel Tower as well as seeing Sacre Coeur and Invalides was breathtaking. We are already making plans to come back to Paris - and of course, to this apartment and are already recommending it to everyone we know. Thank you Boyd and Kelly!

Although I’ve been to Paris many times on short business trips, always staying in hotels, this was my first time here on vacation so I wanted to stay in an apartment. And boy, did I pick the right place! There is literally NOTHING lacking here. Lots of living space with ice cold air conditiong (with remote control, no less!), 2 huge bathrooms, washer and dryer, high-speed wireless internet and unlimited FREE phone calls back to the states! Every morning we had coffee on the balcony, there's great Eiffel Tower views from both bedrooms and the fully equipped galley-style kitchen, but the kicker for us: a full service supermarket downstairs in the building itself! Just go shopping for your wine, cheese and other essentials then wheel them back to the apartment, all without setting one foot outside. The Metro was only 5 minutes away and we used it every day. You can get to all of Paris’ major attractions in a flash. And when the day is over, hop on the Metro and in no time you’re back in your own quiet neighborhood away from the tourist hustle and bustle. The best part: dealing with Boyd. An easy going fellow with a lovely wife, he made the whole process painless. I would be remiss if I did not mention his able assistant Kelly. She met us at the apartment upon our arrival and made sure that all of our concerns were dealt with and all of our questions were answered. And if you need anything while you're there, she's just a phone call away. All in all, a very pleasant experience from beginning to end. We will definitely be back!!

The owner of this exceptional apartment squeezed us in for a five day stay that saved our trip when our first apartment (not through VRBO) cancelled on us two weeks before our leave date. He literally saved our trip! He took the time to show us how each appliance worked, where the nearest internet cafe was and the location of the Metro and many good restaurants. He even helped us find a way to get to our train station clear across town on our last day ! He phoned us to see how we were doing, and took the time to get my coat to me after I left it in his car from the airport. You truly appreciate being away from the crowds when you return each day to this spacious, comfortable, very clean apartment. Although there were just two of us, we loved having so much room with two full bathrooms. This would also be an ideal apartment for a family or two couples. Our later stays in hotels in France and Italy just didn't compare. Having so much room was just wonderful. We will absolutely try to stay here on our next visit to beautiful Paris.
Owner response:It is good to know that a little extra effort is appreciated. Nice people, and I am glad we had a last minute opening that worked for them.

We have found the most delightful apartment in Paris, an exceptional living space, modern and bright in the "City of Lights". The owners provide awesome support and hospitality. The apartment is spacious., well-appointed and located in the fashionable 15th close to all amenities. Our plan is to return again and again. This is 5 stars!

What a find. This was a home away from home. So nice after a long day of sightseeing to be able to kick off our shoes and settle in. The amenities were wonderful. Great having a washer/dryer, two baths, and a roomy kitchen. We were very comfortable. Delighted with the downstairs market. That was a huge help and we found everything we needed. Enjoyed the fact that we were away from the city hustle bustle and in a quaint parisian neighborhood. Transportation was easy with the metro station, bus stops, and the train just minutes from our door. We took full advantage of all three and were able to travel all around Paris quickly and easily. A special treat was being able to see the Eiffel tower from the bedrooms and the kitchen. What a beautiful sight at night. I hope to return to Paris and would definitely stay in the apt. again. Thanks to Boyd and Kelly for checking in on us and letting us know they were there to help answer any questions or help in any way.

The Lourmel appartment where we spent a couple of months (I am French and wanted to expose my kids to a French school) was perfect for us: very bright (tough to find in Paris, with unobstructed views), quiet (this also can be a challenge in this busy city), and spacious (definitely a privilege there!). Living there was ideal: it took us a quick 2 minute walk to the metro, and then 10-15 minute later you're in the heart of Paris, by the Opera or the Invalides. This metro line is a very safe one, as is the neighbourhood. We never had a problem, and I felt very safe sending my 10 year old son to go get croissants for our week-end breakfasts. You won't be among tourists in the Lourmel area, which is a good break after spending the day visiting the Louvre or Versailles (the apartment is also convenient to go to Louis XIVth's castle - nice walk to the RER station through a the modern Citroen park and you're there). The 15th quarter of Paris is a quiet place with lots of families. You'll definitely get a feel for how French people live there. Did I mention the big supermarket located in the basement? You can't beat this for convenience! And a bakery just around the corner (one of about 5 in the close vicinity)! And the washer/drier is quite a luxury too! Very convenient and clean bathrooms to accommodate us, and the beds that you can arrange according to your needs (king or twins). I am recommending this place to my friends and will definitely stay there when I am in Paris again. Enjoy!
Owner response:How great is it to have parents who give their kids the chance to learn that the world is bigger than just the land mass between the Atlantic & Pacific. We don't usually do such a long rental but in this case we could not say no.

This is a super place for a family or small group. The kitchen is fully equipped and it was wonderful to have two full bathrooms and laundry facilities. It is well located near the metro, and there is a wonderful supermarket right downstairs that also sells a good assortment of wines. I would happily recommmend this apartment to anyone wanting a non-hotel stay in Paris.

My husband and I, with our 17 year-old daughter, stayed in this lovely apartment for a week. Other reviews have described the many amenities and attention to small details enjoyed; all of this is absolutely true! We were completely comfortable in every way. We especially appreciated having two full bathrooms... no sharing with a teen-aged daughter! The apartment was immaculate and thoughtfully furnished. We were personally met by right-hand woman Kelly, who oriented us to the apartment, the neighbourhood, and Paris overall. The convenience of an on-site, full-service grocery, near-by Metro station, and the proximity of several first-rate restaurants made our stay in Paris (our first) easy. We had no difficulties whatsoever travelling to the usual Parisian tourist destinations. Boyd's check-up calls provided us with the opportunity to ask questions, and obtain knowledgable advice. We (and especially our daughter) appreciated the ability to call home without charge. We highly recommend this apartment, and this landlord, to anyone wishing to visit Paris.

We stayed in this lovely apartment for a week, and it was wonderful. The location is perfect, the apartment setup is fabulous for a family, and I cannot imagine a better vacation. It is so nice to have a grocery store so close by, and the neighborhood is lovely for a walk. The Metro stop is so convenient, and we did enjoy sightseeing from the #42 bus as well. My girls loved looking at the Eiffel Tower from their beds, though they rarely fell asleep before the lights went off! I hope we will be back in the next couple of years. Thank you, Boyd, Frankie (and Kelly) for all of your information and guidance; our trip was perfect!

A seasoned veteran at renting apartments in Paris, I put this property at the top of the list. At first I was reluctant to book in the 15th, fearing that it would be removed from things. Boy, was I wrong about that! With a Line 8 metro stop (Lourmel) two blocks away, the great T3 tram a couple blocks in the other direction (one stop to the RER C that goes to Versailles) and #42 bus stop at the corner it was actually easier to get around from here than from other places I have stayed. Plus, the neighborhood has an authentic Parisian feel as opposed to an area designed for tourists and is calm and relaxed at night for good sleeping. Even if it weren't so well situated and served by transport, the apartment would be worth it. The place is modern but certainly not sterile in design, offering every imaginable comfort from fully equipped kitchen to A/C to a washer AND separate dryer, topped off with views of the Eiffel tower from the bedrooms and great WiFi and free phone calls back to the States. Great beds, plenty of linens and towels and good closet space. The clear and comprehensive booklet of instructions on the neighborhood and how to use everything was tremendous, a reflection of the great lengths the owners go to in order to assure guests' comfort and ease of use. The ground floor of the building features a large supermarket open until 10 PM, and the immediate neighborhood offers the full range of shops (bakery, butcher, fishmonger, pharmacy, cafes, restaurants, etc.) along with a street market on Wednesday and Saturday. If all that was not enough, the kind and efficient service provided by the owner and property manager (who was waiting for us on arrival and available at all times via cell phone, though we never needed to call) made it all so easy. Payment arrangements were simple, not always the case when renting in Paris. All in all, this was probably the best apartment we have rented in Paris and we will be repeat customers.
Owner response:When Jim first called me he said that he usually stayed in the Marais or other such areas. However,he had his teenage niece with him this trip and he wanted a more modern place, with her own bathroom/bedroom, so that she would feel more comfortable. He found what most knowledgeable visitors to Paris know.......the "cute" tourist areas are wonderful to visit but you wouldn't want to live there. Having the comforts of home after a long day on the streets is a real treat.

I stayed in this flat for three months (Jan-March 2009) and found it to be AMAZING! Not only are the amenities and creature comforts welcome but the location is fabulous and you truly feel that you are a "resident" Parisian. I found the apartment itself to be extremely clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The owners have taken extra care to make for an enjoyable stay and were extremely hospitable! This is a fantastic find and I would recommend this as a great place to stay, especially if you want to explore all that Paris has to offer! Excellent!

We stayed at this fabulous apartment for 2 weeks. It was without a doubt the perfect location, close to everything; without making you feel like a tourist. When you look at the address on a map you might think you are a bit far out, but you are not, you can be anywhere you want to go incredibly quick. With two metro stops so close, and trains every 4 minutes or less it couldn’t be more convenient or easy. Having a three minute walk to a awesome park that is so vibrant, beautiful, and safe, is such a treat. The views from the apartment are so entrancing day or night. From the moment Boyd picked us up at the airport, which is such a huge bonus after a grueling string of flights from western Canada, we knew we had made the right choice. Boyd is very outgoing and is so hospitable of families. You could not ask for more caring owners or a more clean, comfortable, and welcoming space. We were made to feel if we needed anything, even simple recommendations or advice, we were welcome to call Boyd or Kelly. (such a great resource) This is not a cookie cutter motel shell that people frequent. This is a home. Read the guest book and you will see what we mean. The beds are very comfortable and the apartment’s floor plan is laid out with being able to have kids go to bed while still being able to use most of the apartment, just like at home. It has all the accessories you will need, and with a grocery store just steps away, you can pickup anything you might desire to cook at home. For dining out there are some really great restaurants within 2 minutes walk. The people at all the local shops and restaurants were a delight, and in our short time there, we became loyal to them. We have and would recommend this apartment to any of our family or friends, and would love to be able to stay there again one day. Thank you again. Dave, Christa, Aurora and Ella

Our family of 4 adults spent 15 nights in Paris in this wonderful 8th floor apartment in the 15th Arrondissement. We were amazed at the generous 100 square metre size of it as the usual Paris apartment is about 25 square metres. Everything we required and more was there, and Boyd was but a phone call away should we need help with something. We visited in winter, so the central heating was welcome. The beds were very comfortable. The telephone service was great, as was the washer and dryer and the internet connection. From the 8th floor we had a wonderful view of Paris. At night we loved to watch the light show on the Eiffel Tower from the kitchen. Also at night we could see the beautiful golden dome of Invalides softly lit and shining. Sacre-Coeur was also visible in the far distance on a clear night. Lourmel Metro Station was just a few minutes walk down the street and the trains took us quickly to wherever we wanted to go. What we liked most about this apartment was the quietness of suburbia but living right in an energetic and thriving city. Fantastic! Street markets abound in Paris and I couldn't wait to see Rue Cler. However after seeing it, and also visiting regularly the street market that is in the street immediately behind the apartment block on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, I found that the supermarket downstairs in the building had absolutely everything anyone could possibly want. Incredibly fresh seafood, fresh fruit and vegetables, vast quantities of amazing cheese, wines of all descriptions, and a wall of champagne to name a few. Shopping in the supermarket was effortless, but none of the staff spoke English. To get your groceries upstairs to the apartment if the trolly was full, you were permitted to take it up in the lift and return it to the supermarket as soon as you had unpacked it. Boyd has thought of everything with this wonderful apartment, and we would be thrilled to stay here again if we return to Paris. Marianne Bailey and family, Brisbane, Australia.

The apartment was a great place for us to stay. It was nice to be able to come to the apartment after spending the days in Paris tourist areas and relax in such a great quiet neighborhood. The metro being so close to the aparment and the location of the restraunts near by was also excellent. There were some recommendations of local restraunts that were awesome with great hospitality. I would definatly staty here again.

This apartment is a wonderful place to stay in Paris. It is in a true Parisian neighborhood, not a tourist spot. There are many wonderful restaurants nearby. There is a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays right next to the building, which sells a great selection of fruits and vegetables, cheese, bread, meats, etc. The apartment itself is spacious and clean with views of the Eiffel Tower from side and the neighborhood from the other, It is on the 8th floor. Every amenity is supplied, and the free long distance telephone is especially useful. It is close to the Metro entrance, and you can go directly to the Concorde or Opera without any stops. There are also 2 buses nearby that will take you all over Paris, and you have a sightseeing trip for a lot less than the ususual sightseeing buses. The owners are very helpful and hospitable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

This Lourmel apartment is ideal for location and convenience, when visiting Paris. I cannot imagine a more ideal place to stay, as we have been here one full month. Great neighborhood, with many shops, restaurants, and parks with Metro access. All aspects of the apartment, including telephone service and appliances were the greatest. With a magnificent view of the Eiffel tower, this rental is tops.

We were completely satisfied with our stay in this apartment. We found the apartment to be very clean and comfortable. A lot of effort has been put into anticipating the needs of visitors. Our toddler enjoyed the playground downstairs. The location was excellent - we found very good food markets nearby. We also enjoyed local restaurants and excellent grilled chicken from the shop across the street. There is easy access to the Metro, and it's a good neighbourhood. I highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay again. Judy, Canada

This apt. in Paris is perfect for short or long stays. It is very conveniently located and the furnishings are very comfortable. It's not right in the tourist area which is good, because you can get a taste of real Parisien life, but yet only minutes away from everything by Metro. I jogged to la Tour Effiel each day through some great neighborhoods. Also, another very convenient aspect is a good sized supermarket in the same building at ground level. We cooked in quite a bit because of this and the kitchen was really setup well. Having a phone that we could use to call to the U.S. for free was also a very nice attribute. I will stay here again for sure. The owners are great and very helpful. Can't thing of anything negative to say, you won't regret staying here.

If your travel takes you to Paris, you would be hard pressed to find a better apartment for your stay. My friends and I finished off a three week trip to France with a wonderful one week stay on Rue Lourmel. The location of the unit is perfect as it is a short walk to the Metro. The feature that we enjoyed the most was the availability of a huge grocery store (along with other shops) located in the street level of the building. The apartment is updated and equipped with all the necessary tourist needs (free internet, free long distance to the U.S., cable television, free use of a cell phone and then there is that spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower which is absolutely spectacular at night. The property owners provide all the important information that you will need for a great Paris vacation. Don't hesitate for a second if you are considering this property for your Paris stay, your delay may cause you to miss one of the best apartments available.

Our family, 2 adults and 2 teenagers, spent a week at this appartment in June 2008. We found it had everything we needed including plenty of "space" for teenagers to have some privacy. The 2 full bathrooms added to that need for "space" and gave us the ability to get everyone up and going. With a grocery store on the first and food market just outside 2 days a week, it was perfect for cooking meals in the apartment, which had enough cooking equipment to do so comfortably. The local bakery was just around the corner with delicious croissants and breads that went perfectly with coffee made in the french press! Although the subway was very close, we still enjoyed many walks along the river and through the city, with the Eiffel Tower as an ever present landmark and great destination. I highly recommend this apartement!
