Windsor Hills was very nice. We liked the gated community and the close proximity to Disney. This unit, however, is in need of maintenance. No serious issues, just a lot of small issues - broken bed in second bedroom (although maintenance said the owner was aware the bed was broken but the owner felt you could still sleep in it, the maintenance person fixing the smoke alarm was kind enough to drill some holes and attach the top of the footboard that was in the closet so the bed was secure, but not totally fixed). We arrived and the smoke alarm was dangling by its wires from the ceiling in the hall, extinguisher bracket was hanging broken in the wall with the extinguisher out of reach over the refrig (maintenance fixed). Mainly, the walls are a mess with what appear to be years of scuffs all over, and the carpeting is very stained. Minor issues were not serious but just kept adding up - including 4 out of 8 lights out over cabinet in master bath ( we moved them to all one side so one side worked), vertical blinds have slats missing so they don't close all the way, twin mattresses so bad the springs poked us all night, no batteries in tv remote - "little" things that just add up. We would stay at Windsor Hills again, but not at this unit. The splash pool was nice, although the pool light didn't work (owner was aware of this), the hand skimmer was broken, and the table and chairs were so rusted we had to keep the chairs covered with a towel.

Working with Patty on renting this place was great. She was prompt and friendly and definitely took care of some issues before our arrival (she replaced a pack&play that "disappeared" from the unit prior to our arrival. Shame on those who took it!). It was wonderful working with her. The townhouse is very close to the clubhouse (large pool, interactive fountain, waterslide and game room) and it was just a short walk to the nearest playground. My husband, 16-month-old, and I really enjoyed the resort-like amenities that Windsor Hills offers. Having had lived in the area for many years, and visited my in-laws up the street quite often, I love this area as it is closest to the Disney property. I am writing this as a mother of a toddler. Please keep this in mind while I describe some of the issues I had with this townhouse. First, however, it was wonderful to arrive and have safety gates for the stairs, small pool toys, and other "bonuses" that I hadn't even thought about. Though I had brought my own stroller, I did notice Patty offers two strollers in the pantry for use.There weren't any carpets or rugs on the main floor common areas. I watched my toddler slip and fall hard (once hitting his noggin) a number of times while walking across the tile floors in bare feet. Plus there wasn't a place for him to sit and play other than the hard tile floor. The child bedroom is on the main floor towards the street and is carpeted, but the pack & play plus two twin beds pretty much takes up the whole floor area. We paid for pool heat, but it was way too hot, more like a hot tub. The management company was easy to deal with at check-in but getting them to come out and turn the heat down in the pool was like pulling teeth. I didn't like dealing with them. However, since our son is still a two-hour-a-day napper, it was wonderful to have the splash pool area to sit in and enjoy the sun while the little one slept. If you have children that are older than mine, and you have no reason to deal with the management company other than to check-in, then Patty's place is perfect.

Great Resort

I love this townhouse. It is spacious, clean and comfortable. The outside pool is very nice. My family and I had so much fun on it. The resort pool is very good as well. The kitchen is fully equipped. The three rooms and bathrooms are large and spacious. I love the house, the resort amenities and the location. I would recommend it to everyone. My only suggestion is a new decoration.

We stayed at Patty's townhouse Easter week and had a fantastic time. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The splash pool was such a hit. The kids were in it from morning until night. They did enjoy the main pool but the water temp was a little colder (probably 80's) as oppose to the bath water in the splash pool. Everyone was extremely nice at the clubhouse. We will recommend this townhouse to friends and return again!

We had a very comfortable stay. The kids room had games, the spash room was nice, the master beadroom was big with a very comfortable bed, and grandma had her own room down the hall. It was very close to Disney, and the complex had a great pool, and was well staffed. We enjoyed it and would definitely rent there again.

We had a great vacation while staying at this townhouse. There was plenty of room for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids. The kids loved the private splash pool. Everything was in good working order in the house and there were plenty of towels, dishes and utensils. Patty was very friendly and prompt in answering any questions that we had. We definitely would recommend Patty and her townhouse, and we hope to stay there again.

We recently stayed at Patty and Jerry's townhouse and had a blast. It is very close to the clubhouse, shopping and of course Disney. The splash pool was a hit with the kids, but they loved the waterslide at the clubhouse too. We didn't realize that the kids’ twin room was on the main floor and the king and queen rooms were upstairs - not a huge deal, but a surprise nonetheless. I was apprehensive about my 4 year old opening either of the front door and wandering onto the street or the back sliding door to jump in the pool since she is a bit mischievous, but it was fine in the end. Reading the other reviews, I was a bit concerned about the King bed, but it has been replaced with a nice memory foam mattress and was quite comfortable. The WiFi had a great strong signal and was quite handy for us. Patty was great to deal with and always prompt in answering my many questions. We hope to be back next year and stay here as it was a great spot.

A great time was had by all!!! It was extremely close to all the attractions. We did Universal Studios and Sea World and it was so convenient to both locations. The house was very nice and clean and we loved having our own private pool. I would definitely stay here again!!!! Patty was extremely quick in answering any questions I had!! Our family, 2 boys ages 7&4 and 2 adults, had the time of our lives. You do not even have to leave the property for a great time. The clubhouse / pool were less than 200 yards away! Very well taken care of. So many fun things to do in the area even if you are not going to Disney (which we did not). I highly recommend for a great getaway!

Our family of 5 stayed at Patty's townhome in August 2009 and loved it. It was about as close to the Disney property as one can stay without being in one of the Disney hotels. We often went "home" for lunch to take a dip and rest for a couple hours before returning to Disney. It was 6 minutes to the Disney freeway entrance and 32 minutes townhome door to Main Street at MK (much closer to the other parks). Patty was excellent to deal with and very prompt. The home is in a great location relative to Windor Hills' clubhouse/pool - only a two minute walk at most. It is a big neighbourhood so some homes are a long way from the clubhouse/pool. Supermarkets (e.g,. Walmart, Target, etc.) are close by so it is easy to replenish food supplies. The Wifi was convenient and always a strong signal and the splash pool was nice for lunch time breaks from Disney. Our only suggesetion for improvement to the unit is that the King mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced as it is incredibly uncomfortable with all of the springs poking you in the back. We hope to be back sometime in the next few years and maybe by then the mattress will have been replaced!

Owner response:This review is from a stay back in 2009. Since then we have replaced the King size bed with a brand new memory foam mattress.

Top end complex and unit, great location and value

What a great place and a great location. We are a family of 4 that spent nearly 2 weeks doing mostly theme parks and other sightseeing. We have been to the area a few times in the past few years but this is the first we have spent off Disney property. I did a lot of research and comparison before selecting this rental and was very happy with the results. The complex itself is great. Just a mile south of the edge of Disney property. Very clean, gated, secure community with a great pool and clubhouse. I can't tell you the exact address but rest assured that the unit is one of the closest to the clubhouse in the entire development. When selecting a place I considered this heavily so it was ironic that we only used it twice our whole stay because we were so busy doing other things or just using the private splash pool in back. Traffic can get bad up on 192 when coming home depending on time of day so try using alternate routes. There is a back way we doubed the "secret road" over by Animal Kingdom/Lodge. The townhouse itself was great overall. The unit was clean, there were plenty of dishes and utensils, nice towels, decor was functional. We loved having the little pool out back. In fairness, there are a few things I'll should point out. The main TV remote was broken and was not repaired by the time we left. The pool area was not clean when we arrived, debris in pool and the area appeared generally unkept. Also the pool light was out. The PM eventually sent someone out to rectify on the 2nd day. There is an ant issue primarily in the pool area and into the main living room area. The PM told me all of these neighborhoods were built on massive ant colonies. They are the little tiny harmless ones and did not bother us but just so you know. The living room coffee table was stored in the closet due to broken legs. Patty is working on replacing this but rightfully considered this a safety issue due to the possibility of the glass top breaking. Lastly, the king bed mattress could use an upgrade. You could feel the springs. Other beds (the kids used) felt much better although I did not sleep on them. I want to emphasize that we were very happy overall and I don't want these small items to overshadow a great unit. Patty was was great to work with and even extended our stay an extra night last minute at the previously agreed upon rate. Would definitely stay again.

Better than Disney!

The townhouse was great by itself with a Splash pool just outside the door, a 2 story water slide and large pool, clubhouse with game room, exercise room and store. 3 bedrooms gave erveryone some space when needed. The washer & dryer made packing light easier. The internet WiFi let me keep tabs on my airline reservations and even check in on line. Beats a motel any day, especially if you have kids. The unit could use some maintenance work, but nothing major.

My husband, brother and I stayed at Patty & Jerry's townhouse in November 2008. A golf holiday for the boys and a chance for me to relax in the Florida sunshine. The townhouse was everything and more than we had hoped for. Great location to the resort pool and recreation complex as well as being close to all of the main attractions. The private pool was a definite plus and it was nice that the townhouse did not back directly onto any other townhouses. Any emails with questions we had regarding the unit were answered very quickly by Patty. We will definitely recommend this townhouse/complex to our family and friends!

A Very Good Choice

My Wife and I spent alot of time searching for the perfect place for our family during our 11 day stay. This property has many advantages that we were looking for. First the resort is a five star and is keep up to that standard. It is close to Disney, Universal Orlando, Seaworld, and many other attractions. We liked that it was just a minute or two from highway 192 where there are many options for everything, including many great places to eat. The townhouse is well maintained and clean, also it is just a short walk from the resort pool. Having three full baths is a major plus as everyone can get ready quickly in the morning. We had no problem getting to the theme parks before they opened. It was nice to have a private pool if we just wanted a quick refreshing dip instead of going to the resort pool. The home was stocked with all the essentials that we needed, so it was convenient to go to the local grocery store and prepare some quick meals if we wanted to. There could have been more dishcloths and washcloths, but I am sure there is a problem with them getting missing. Other than that everything was perfect and as expected, much better than staying at a hotel! I would highly recommend this property. The owners were very nice and helpful with the whole transaction.

We stayed one week at Patty & Jerry’s townhouse in July 2008. The property was beautiful and seemed to have all of the things to make us feel at home (pots/pans, dishes, iron, ironing board, towels, washer/dryer, etc.) . The kids enjoyed the video games, TV and splash pool. The townhouse is very close to the clubhouse. The location was so close to Disney that we even came home for lunch on some of the days we visited Disney. We were able to get to Sea World, Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure within about 10 minutes. The townhouse is off of a main road that has many stores and restaurants. I also like the fact that Security Officers work at the main entrance of the resort. We will be sure to recommend this place to our friends/family and look forward to staying there in the future! Patty was very nice and easy to work with.

We spent a week at the townhouse in May. It was a wonderful alternative to a hotel. It was very spacious for our family of 5. We loved how close it was to the pool. The complex is huge so it was really great to be steps aways from the pool, game room and store. My kids enjoyed the tennis courts, volleyball court, and playing ping pong also. Patty was fantastic to work with and always communicated quickly back to me.

We stayed here the last week of August 2007. We loved it! What has not been previously stated is the close proximity the "large" pool is to the townhouse. Our children 6, 11, 13 & 15 had a fantastic time. As long as the 6 year old was with a sibling we felt more than fine letting them walk the short safe distance back to the townhouse on their own. Everything was 5 star. We will be back soon.

We just got back from a great October visit and enjoyed our stay at Windsor Hills. This unit is so clean and comfortable. It was just a short walk to the pool/clubhouse- the kids loved the waterslide and the ping-pong! This is a super convenient location. Close to shopping, dining, and most importantly, the parks! If you haven't been to Blizzard Beach yet, give it a try. We had a blast! Thanks, Patty, for making this so easy. Great communication and I look forward to telling my family and friends about this unit. We can't wait to come back.

This is a good location for Disney! Easy off and on the main route to the parks. Also, the townhome is within walking to the community pool! Nice resort. We had no problems with getting the keys or dropping them off. Nice courtyard right outside the townhome (back door). Staff at the gate were easy to talk to also, easy to get the access keys to the pool. You do need to carry cash for deposit of keys and any games i.e ping pong, pool table etc. You are reimbursed when you return them. We stayed mid Aug 2007 pool area did not seem too crowded. There is an italian restarant that delivers there which is not too expensive good pizza and sandwiches. I takes about an hour so call ahead. I believe the name starts with a 'D'.

We had a wonderful vacation at this townhome! The place is nicely decorated and comes with a fully equipped kitchen. The kids all enjoyed the playstation and had tons of fun in the splash pool. It was a memorable trip for all the kids....disney was sooo close and convenient to get to! Patty, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with and very informative and accommodating! Thank you sooo much for making this an incredible family trip for us!

We just arrived back home following a wonderful two week stay at Patty & Gerry's townhouse. Our family of 5, including three boys aged 16, 13, and eitght, thoroughly enjoyed every second. We were so pleased with everything. Patty & Gerry have thought of everything in setting up this house even down to beach towels. The kids really enjoyed the splash pool, ps2, movies and board games. Windsor Hills is beautiful,I felt so safe with my kids in the gated community. The house is beautifully situated as its only a very short walk to the main pool & recreation room. The Disney complex is just a 5-10 min drive away which worked out so great. Outlet shopping and grocery stores are also very close. We were so impressed with the house. I don't think we will ever consider a hotel based family vacation again. Thank You so much Patty & Gerry. We hope to return again.

Having a 3BR/3BA condo to stay at was absolutely wonderful for our family of 5, so much better (and more reasonable) than renting a hotel room. We stayed here for 4 days in December and wish we could have spent more time at the condo to fully enjoy the condo/Windsor Hills, but we were busy visiting 3 parks in 3 days! The condo has everything you need and it is conveniently located to all the parks, many restaurants, Walmart & Publix grocery store. Thank you, Patty, for allowing our family to rent your condo.

Wow! What a great place to stay! Everything you could need in this roomy, bright well equipped holiday home. The kids had dvds, games and ps2 to keep them occupied whilst in the home and also the very handy splash pool. The complex is great with an excellent pool and games room and very friendly staff. Also the 24 hr security gates. Also using the Sherbeth Road shortcut from Highway 192 to Disney you are literally in Animal Kingdom within 5mins and the other Disney parks within 10 at least. Great home, great facilties and great location. What more could anyone want? Hope to be back very soon. Thanks Patty - great service.

The townhouse was beautiful. My two boys slept in the bedroom downstairs, it was perfect for them (ages 6 & 8 ) they enjoyed the play station & board games during "down times". We enjoyed the private "splash" pool along with the main pool with the big slide. The community was quite and nice, there was also a great playground the kids enjoyed. We've just spent 12 nights at Jerry and Patty's townhouse. It is truely a 4 stars accommodation with 24/7 security gated community. Their townhouse is fully equipped and nicely decorated. Excellent location, very close to Disney and other attractions. Highly recommended and for sure you'll love it!

Had a blast here. The condo was perfect for what we needed. Went with my older parents and my two teenage daughters. The girls had the bed/bath downstairs so they could stay up late and not bother my parents who turned in early. So nice to be able to sleep and come and go on different schedules without worrying about waking someone up when u come in. Beautiful condo, great ammenities..DEFINATELY will be back.

This is the best place to stay in Orlando! It has its own pool! The rooms are nice and everyone has their own bathroom. It has all the amenities of home. It is truely "home away from home"! My family cannot wait until we can go back!

I just spent spring break at Jerry and Patty's condo and for a short week it was our home. My family was greatly pleased with it's acommocadations, great location with easy acess to grocery stores and a Walmart Supercenter. We will return for the value, style, and location (Disney, Universal, Sea World, resturants and much more). In fact during our stay we were able to drive to the Everglades and return and continue to enjoy all the ammendities of Windsor Hills. It's a lovely gated community.
