Todd is wonderful to deal with......The townhome was very comfrotable and nicely furnished. We have stayed in other Waters Edge units and this was the nicest and cleanest. We enjoyed our stay of 6 weeks and hated to leave. We definitely have fallen for Folly Beach.

Folly Beach is a small beach town just outside of Charleston with a definite Key West feeling. Beautiful beaches, friendly vacationers and a "downtown" of only two blocks, it was definitely the type of vacation community that I was looking for. The townhome was immaculate and well furnished with beautiful hardwood floors and a deck overlooking the water, hence the name, Water's Edge.. The community that the townhome was located in is a relatively new community with, once again, friendly outgoing residents and vacationers, all very laid back, enjoying the small town ambiance that gives Folly Beach that unique "glad you are here" feeling. I will definitely be returning!

This was a lovely clean place when we arrived. Very spacious so the four of us could all spread out. I loved the high ceilings. It had all the amenities we needed. The screened porch was my favorite place for morning coffee and evening cocktails .... so peaceful! This townhome is located in a small, upscale and fairly new community near the sound. It was very quiet at night and the pool was wonderful -- only a few hundred feet from our door. Just beyond the pool is a great dock to fish from - no luck catching a fish, but it was fun! We walked through the cozy neighborhood of lovely beach homes and in 3 short blocks you are in the heart of Folly Beach. We picked up a few things at Bert's, the organic food store across from the beach. The Lost Dog is a must for brunch - try the french toast with fresh strawberries or shrimp and grits - so delish!! Black Magic Coffee Shop is a great place to pick up a good cup of coffee on your way to the beach - they also serve breakfast and lunch. Favorite place at night was Rita's with great seafood and live music. Our young adult family members enjoyed the bar scene in the evenings - it was loads of fun. Every place has outdoor seating and dress was always beach casual. The beach was amazing - if you go to the right of the pier, the beach is less crowded however, no life guards there. The pier is gorgeous at night all lit up! We kayaked on the sound one evening and it was wonderful to watch the dolphins and birds. Folly Beach has a great feel of a cozy quaint beach town with just enough to do to keep things interesting but not too commercial. It is also a great place to do absolutely nothing!

We had a great stay at this beach house. It was in walking distance to Folly Beach although we did not walk. There were also many restaurants and shops in walking distance. The home was extremely welcoming. The decor was warm and friendly. It was overall very modern and sophisticated. My bed was very comfy and the rooms were a nice size all with their own closets. I was surprised to find a bed instead of a futon which the website described. The bathrooms were clean and we were provided with plenty of towels and washcloths. The view from our balcony was pleasant and the screened in porch was a nice place to sit outside. We also enjoyed the large garage and had no issues on our stay. My only suggestion is to add blinds to the bedroom downstairs. This is where I slept and I saw numerous passersby through my bedroom window. Hopefully, they couldn't see me!
Owner response:Battyann, we're gald you enjoyed your stay and thanks for the suggestion - blinds are up in the downstairs bedroom!

This property is beautiful and very spacious. Even though it is several blocks from the beach, the walk was not bad. We will definitely be back. Just beware the "drive" outside of the garage is not considered parking, even for a small car.

Thank you for a wonderful stay on Folly Island! This was our first trip to SC, and loved being so close to both the beach and Charleston. Your townhouse was beautiful! Loved how it was decorated and the fun colors. Perfect for a larger group (we had 4 adults and 5 children). We spent lots of time on the porch overlooking the salt marsh and walking on the fishing pier. The kids had a ball at the beach and the pool. Fantastic restaurants, both upscale and beachy. Thanks for the wonderful accomodations!!
Owner response:Susan, we're so glad you enjoyed your stay!! Hope to see you again in the near future!

We just returned from our first visit to Folly Beach and were pleasantly surprised at this quaint little beach town. We absolutely loved this home! It was very clean and had lots of room with plenty of linens, bikes, beach chairs, grill & so much more. We are not fishermen but we loved watching all the fishermen off the dock and seeing what strange things they would catch. The Folly Beach Pier is just a short walk away as is Center Street (the street with all the happening places). We enjoyed Loggerhead Restaurant and went back several times. We also loved Woody's Pizza. I would highly recommend this to someone else and would love to stay there again. Thanks for such a memorable family vacation!

This place was perfect! The pictures don't even do it justice. It's beautiful, clean, and huge! We had a group of 7 adults staying for a week and space was never an issue. There were plenty of linens and kitchen utensils provided. The beach is only about a 5 minute walk (we easily carried coolers, 10x10 canopy, and beach chairs) and we LOVED spending evenings jumping off of the Water's Edge dock. Center Street is full of little bars, restaurants, and gift shops and only a block over. We had a couple of small house issues (which we found out were damage from a rowdy group there before us), and there was someone out immediately to fix them. We couldn't have asked for better service. I sent an email about them to the owners at midnight and there was someone out to the house by 10am. Amazing! We're already talking about planning a short fall getaway back to Folly Beach. Thank you so much!
Owner response:Danielle, glad you all had a great time and look forward to you staying with us again!!

My family would like to thank the owners for a great stay. It was our first time at Folly Beach and a much enjoyable at that. Relaxing, comfortable all the things you would have at your own home. We enjoyed downtown Folly and met the owner (on tv show from the past, we use to watch) of Rita's..excellent restaurant. All the restaurants were actually good. The walk to the beach was short, but pleasant. Actually all things were in walking distance. The attractions down town Charlestown was great. Recommend the carriage rides, you learn alot about the history of Charleston. I would come back again!!
Owner response:Harold, we're glad you enjoyed Folly and hope you come back soon!

I first of all wanted to say that we truly enjoyed our stay in your home at Folly Beach. The location was perfect, as we were able to enjoy the quiet that comes with being set back from the action, while at the same time being close enough to the beach to walk. Further, there were no surprises from the pictures to the actual thing - the house was tastefully decorated, and comfortable. Should we ever return to the area again, we will certainly look to stay at your home!
Owner response:Darren, thanks for staying with us and we look forward to your staying with us again soon!

House was everything listing promised it would be. Location within easy walk of Center street shops/restaurants, and the beach, but tucked away on the quiet Folly River side of the island for us to enjoy quiet nights with windows open. Our kids loved the house. One week was too short!

I wanted to say a warm “thank you” for the opportunity to rent the townhome down at Water’s Edge last week…it was beautiful. We all enjoyed the hospitality of the furnishings and took every opportunity to enjoy ourselves. Sitting on the back deck in the mornings, my wife and I experienced the sound of the ‘popping shrimp’ or the ‘snapping shrimp’ [I can’t recall which term is correct] for the very first time. I think it may have been Monday when we enjoying a cup of coffee and I kept hearing a popping sound in the marsh…of course my wife said it had to be some kids across the way but I didn’t think so. It was later on during the week we saw a sign somewhere along the road inviting folks to enjoy the local ‘popping/snapping’ shrimp which Folly Beach was famous for. That made it all clear what we had been hearing in the back. But that is just one of many memories we enjoyed during our stay. The house was gorgeous! I was complimented by the family many times throughout the week of how beautiful the home was. The great room was our ‘hang out’ for most of the time spent in the townhome as well as around the spacious kitchen table. Nice. We enjoyed the upstairs bedrooms immensely and the convenience of three bathrooms was spot on. We enjoyed the pool very much and even though it was a bit warmer than usual (according to the locals) it still did not hinder us and the walk to the beach was pleasant. So thank you for allowing us the time spent at your place; we made several lasting memories and many laughs were had at each other’s expense. May God richly bless you and your family; I hope you have the opportunity this summer to get away to make your own memories as well.

This was a great stay!! The property was very neat and clean when we arrived. We had family in from out of state and they are ready to come back next year. The owners had plenty of linens and kitchen supplies. The location was close enough to the beach and shops and restaurants. Overall a great place with easy access to the beach and to Charleston.
