YOU WILL BE CAPTIVATED!! Perfect for family vacations, Topsail Island is one of North Carolina's beautiful barrier islands, 26 miles of soft sand and gentle waves. Our house -- named "S.O.S." for those in need of a rescue from stress - offers spectacular views from all four decks. Watch the sunrise over the ocean and enjoy your coffee from the master suite deck (with a king-size bed) or while relaxing in the upper deck rocking chairs. Celebrate the sunset over the Intracoastal Waterway from the rear decks and revel in the peace of the maritime forest.
When you're ready to swim, surf, stroll on the beach, perfect your shell collection or just work on your tan, walk across the street to our private deeded boardwalk right over the dunes.
S.O.S. features a great room, four seats at the bar, and a dining table for eight people. You can keep up with your favorite shows from 4 color cable TV's - including a new plasma TV in the Master Bedroom. Bring your favorite movies for 2 DVD players, and your favorite CD's to listen to on the stereo. The furniture is comfortable and beautiful. There is even a local tide clock for you to enjoy. And broadband Internet access -- when you tire of surfing the waves, surf the Web!
I spent my childhood summers at Topsail Island and have many wonderful memories. You won't be disappointed with this special place and will make many magical memories of your own. If you like busy, loud, and over developed beaches, Topsail IS NOT for you -- Topsail Island is quiet, peaceful and uncrowded. Really, a throwback to beach towns from the 50's that simply don't exist anymore - except here! It offers a quaint beach town, with fishing piers, shops and galleries owned by Islanders, good seafood restaurants, and a relaxing, casual atmosphere. And best of all, it offers the beautiful beaches for walking, shelling, boating, surfing, and possibly seeing some Loggerhead turtles. (And if you don't see them during nesting season, check out our famous Turtle Hospital - kids love it!)
For a little more hustle and bustle, Wilmington and Myrtle Beach are fun day trips. Wilmington is just 30 miles away. Golfers will enjoy a large variety of first class courses.
This is really a special place. I know you'll love it as much as I do! |
