Our half log cabin will relax you with its northwoods interior of cedar and pine add to the appeal. Lakeside deck, stone patio and fire pit with adirondack chairs overlook the lake to the south. The property is fenced on both sides for privacy and has many trees, as well.
Gradual natural steps lead you to the lake. It is well known locally for its good fishing of musky, northern pike, walleye, bass and panfish. The private dock has a canoe for your use and mooring for your boat. Boat rental is available across the lake or in Hayward.
Watebikes by hydrobike of Minneapolis, as shown in shoreline photo, available for rent. $10/ day/bike or $50/week.

Year Purchased: 2002
Our cabin was one of the original ones on the lake built in the 50's. We retained the rustic halflog exterior look, which is what attracted us to it, and remodeled the interior with a new bath, floors,and windows while still trying to retain the old cabin flavor. We rent a few weeks a year to help defray expenses. We started with some apprehension, but found it to be a positive. We've met some great people who have enjoyed the place and have taken good care of it. The cabin tends to fit families with several children well.

Just to let you know we had a great time at your cabin and everything* met or exceeded our expectations. What we wanted most in this weekend was to relax, play games, and sit around the campfire. While the rain wasn't ideal, we were able to relax plenty and also went into Hayward a few times. When the wind and rain died down on Sunday morning, I took the kids out on the Hydro-bikes, which was a hit.

We stayed at the Schmidt's cottage for a week in July, 2009. It was wonderful, very clean and had everything you needed. Perfect location, will absoutely rent from Cindy and Mario again.

We stayed in this charming cabin for a week in July and had a great time. It was the perfect size for my husband two sons and I. The lake is very kid friendly with a sandy bottom and very gradual drop off. Marlo and Cindy were very nice to rent from and made sure that our stay was pleasurable.
