Just returned last night from Galveston and had to let you know what a lovely condo you have. . . there was not a thing we needed that was not there, the decor was so very attractive, location just right - that end of the Island is very good place to be.
We did the ferry to Port Bolivar, Paddle wheeler trip, museum downtown as well as oil rig museum, trip to Penguin Island, old mansions (Moody was favorite), drove further west and ate at Richard's restaurant in Sea Isle on the marina - TWICE. Used the pocket beaches to good advantage. . . kept going to a different spot each day! Weather was tremendous. . . foggy early but burned off by 9 a.m. Sat on seawall and watched the surfers, went out on fishing pier. . . enjoyed eating at The Spot!

Three folks from different parts of the country wanted to spend Thanksgiving together. This was a wonderful place to do that...playing cards as we enjoyed your great view of the beach...Roseate Spoonbill on the pond just across the parking lot for my bird-watching hubby to enjoy...all of the great seafood we could eat. Life doesn't get any better than that! And when you get tired of shrimp, (as if that could happen) try Queens for the best Texas barbeque. Dave was extremely helpful and sent us detailed directions, along with several helpful suggestions about the area.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Had a girl's weekend with 2 other ladies - The rental was clean and well-stocked with towels, etc - We very much enjoyed the balcony and view - Pleasantly surprised that the kitchen was adequately stocked with everything needed to pull together quick meals as this is not always the case in rentals!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our group really enjoyed staying at this condo. It was beautifully maintained, had a great patio view of the ocean and was a short cab ride away from all of the events we had to attend while in town. You will not be disappointed by renting this unit!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I stay at this condo for 4days. The condo has excellent decor and kitchen has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The view and location is great. Its located across from seawall which we walk to the movies and putt-put golf, Jimmy pier and restrarant. 5 minutes down the road to the west is a great beach access point number 9 and number 10 to drive on beach and walk without alot of people around. You have to try a place the eat that serves hot seafood called Shrimp and Stuff on street 39 and O. It has great food for great prices and good atmosphere. The owner is great and has other condo that is awesome.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

After arriving we lounged in the beautiful pool ( one of three) with the toddler and baby) then it was up to the beautiful condo to start our stay. Gorgeous ocean views and great seafood awaited us. The condo was so clean the baby could crawl on the floor with no concerns, and the toddler loved the little chair just for him out on on deck. So how can I say relaxing with little children around? Because this condo is meant for both adult and children and all are able to find something that will mean vacation to them. Whether that means beaches down the road, shopping on the Strand, submarine and destroyer museums, Moody gardens and my personal favorite the Bodies Revealed exhibit, to simply laying around the condo! We arrived at this property on a Friday afternoon and were somewhat daunted at first by the initial appearance of the overall complex as there was a good deal of construction and renovation going on. However, there was no problem with parking, once we checked in and got our parking passes, and upon arrival at our unit - the OceanLoversVIEW (2 bedroom), we were very pleased. The condominium appeared as if it had been just cleaned. Everything was in order and looking great. The appliances appear new, the kitchen and living area were immaculate, the beds were made with fresh linens and we settled right in without a problem. The view from the window and balcony was wonderful, and I spent many an hour sitting out there enjoying the view of the Gulf. When you go on a trip like this you hope not to be distracted by problems with the rental property so you can enjoy the stay. This place was great. We would recommend staying at OceanLoversVIEW to anyone who asks, and we hope to stay here again in the future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.

My family and I loved this condo. It was a great place to hang at the pool and unwind after a busy day. It sleeps 5 adults and 2 small kids comfortably. We loved the kitchen and balcony area. Dave was great to work with. He was quick to get back to you, fairly priced and detailed with his instructions. We had a great experience in Galveston! Thanks Dave to you and your wife!!!Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Dave, Hi, thank you! Your place was wonderful. Very relaxing, clean, and very quiet. My family loved it. The property was amazing.The pools were refreshing and very spacious. Although they had construction going on we never had issues and most of all never heard a sound. Very pleasant. We have enjoyed the beaches very much. Shopping was great; the seawall was wonderful; and the weather was warm but awesome. Things we did with the children ages 11,16,16,16; we visited Schlitterban Waterpark, went to the GREATEST Cafe' " Rainforest Cafe' " Absolutely amazing. We took a day and rode a few minutes down the road and visited The NASA Space Center in Houston, which the whole family enjoyed very much. Then off to the Kemah BoardWalk all with in a couple of miles from each other. I can say this, we will certainly be back. This was one of the most wonderful getaways we have had. Condo Policy Enclosed is our rental contract and rules. Please print and read. By sending your payment you agree to all the conditions in this contract. These are also posted on our website www.GalvestonVIEWS.com under “must read.” 1. We are privileged to be on the top floor, with no noise above us. However, please be considerate of those below you. As in any multi-dwelling building they can hear us walking around. We’re not asking you to take your shoes off (Pam & I do) but please try to walk quietly. 2. This is a NO SMOKING home. SMOKING ALLOWED ON BALCONIES ONLY. Our units are smoke free and we take this very seriously. A $200 cleaning fee will be assessed from the damage deposit. 1. Please keep in mind that while the Maravilla front office will be more than happy to answer any of your questions about area activities, etc. they will not be able to assist you with anything regarding your suite since you are renting your suite from GalvestonVIEWS. Should you need any assistance at all please call me at (720) 515-0747 or (303) 520-9619 (Cell phone if urgent.) 2. Emergencies: Dial 911 or 409-945-2577 (Maravilla Property Manager) for property emergencies. Please bring your own cell phone as we don’t provide telephone service. 3. Per GalvestonVIEWS policy pets are not allowed in our suites at any time. 4. We have a “no boats” policy, so please make arrangements beforehand to park these, possibly at the Galveston Yacht Club. 5. One bedroom units may be occupied by no more than six (6) people. Two bedroom units may be occupied by not more than eight (8) people. Regardless of the age of an occupant, all are considered in the occupancy count. 6. Charcoal or gas grills of any kind are not allowed on the balconies or in the suites at any time. 7. Please do not leave towels hanging on the balcony or bulky items. 8. If you plan to go to the beach, please bring your own beach towels. 9. If you bring condo towels to the pool please remember to bring them back to your suite. (These are our towels and are not part of the Maravilla community linen pool.) 10. Maid service is not provided during your stay. There are laundry facilities available near the elevators. Maid service is available for an extra charge, just let us know. If you appreciate the extra touch our cleaners give, feel free to leave a little something or write a nice note. 11. All guests are expected to avoid unruly or excessively loud behavior while on the property. Refunds will not be issued if asked to leave for violations of this policy. 12. All of the condos are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. Departure: Upon your departure please take out your garbage to the dumpster and start the dishwasher. IF garbage is left by the front door we are charged a $50 fee and that will be deducted from your deposit. Also please leave the pool key on the hook by the door. Close the door tight to make sure it locks. The cleaning crew will be there shortly after 11 AM. If these terms are not acceptable to you please let us know today. Your presence on the property indicates your acceptance of these policies. This information is posted on our website also under “must read.” Please check this page for last minute changes. Maravilla HOA Guest Rules (Feb 2012) When picking up your parking pass at the front desk, this form will be provided for you to sign. MARAVILLA HOA GUEST RULES For the benefit of our owners and guests, please review and adhere to the following guidelines. Your cooperation is appreciated. We hope you enjoy your stay. 1. Occupancy: One bedroom units may be occupied by no more than six (6) people. Two bedroom units may be occupied by not more than eight (8) people. Owners may set lower occupancy limits for their own units. This is the maximum occupancy per unit at the property. Guests may not invite guests or host parties at the property without prior written consent by the board of directors. Wrist bands are issued upon check-in by the Association staff. Only the maximum occupancy number of wristbands will be issued and anyone on property without a wristband will be asked to leave the property without financial responsibility on the part of the Association. 2. Trash: The Association does not offer door-to-door trash pick up. You are responsible for taking all trash to the dumpsters located on the East side of the main parking lot. Trash from units is not to be placed in garbage cans near mailboxes, elevators, or in laundry rooms. Owners may be fined for their own failure or that of their guests, renters or tenants, to comply. 3. Animals: Domestic breeds of cats, dogs, birds and fish only are permitted, and all must be in compliance with all rules, regulations and laws. Any animal or breed identified as dangerous is prohibited. Pets must be leashed on property at all times. The pet walking area is on the east side of the property between the garage and the neighboring access road. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up the debris of their pets, and will be held responsible financially and otherwise for reimbursing anyone who is injured or bitten by their pets. No pets allowed in the pool areas, in office/lobby, or in exercise room. 4. Office Visits: Shoes, shirts/cover-ups are required for everyone in the office/lobby. Adults & children included. 5. Balconies: Hanging items on the balcony railings or patio furniture is strictly prohibited. Please refrain from feeding seagulls from the balconies. Gas or charcoal barbecues, and any form of fireplace, chimney, etc. are not permitted on the balcony of any unit at the Maravilla. Electric BBQ units are allowed. Gas and charcoal units may be used at ground level within the confines of the fencing. All grills must be completely extinguished and cooled before leaving the area. 6. Supervision: Lifeguards are not employed by the HOA. All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times while on Maravilla property. The exercise room rules require that only those 18 and older may use those facilities. Parents are required to supervise their own children at all times while on Maravilla property. Any child left unattended or unsupervised at any location on Maravilla property including aquatic facilities, office, inside unit, on balcony, etc., may be considered by others to have been abandoned or neglected and appropriate authorities notified. 7. Recreation Facilities: Appropriate swimwear is required. Swimming is not permitted in underwear, street clothes, or unclothed. Babies must wear a swim diaper while in the pool as “accidents” could result in a 48-hour closure of the pool for proper chemical treatment. The swimming area is for registered guests and does not extend to guests of guests. Pool hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Even if chains are not in place, the hours are still in effect and use of the pool(s) and/or hot tub outside of these hours may result in your being asked to leave the property altogether. The water feature on the west side of the property is decorative and no one may walk, slide or play in this area .Yellow pool bands are provided to each owner, PAPER WRISTBANDS are provided for GUESTS during their stay and must be presented if requested by any employee, board member, or designee to ensure use of our facilities by owners and registered guests only. Use of the exercise facility requires that the user be at least 18 years of age and able to verify this if requested to do so. No skating, rollerblading or skateboarding is permitted on the grounds of the Maravilla at any time by any owner, renter, guest or tenant. POOLS ARE NOT HEATED 8. Parking: All vehicles, cars, trucks, motorcycles, are required to have and display a Maravilla parking permit. While parking permits are required to park on Maravilla property, parking is on a first-come/first-served basis and a permit does not guarantee parking availability. Any vehicle without appropriate or expired permit may be towed at vehicle owner’s expense. The charge for a guest parking permit is $10.00 for the duration of a stay. Renters and guests, regardless of length of stay, may not use an owner’s permit. All vehicles require a permit. Renters may not park trailers of any type including motorcycle, boat, jet ski, recreational vehicle, or utility on Maravilla property. 9. Rental/Management: Owners rent their units as they deem appropriate. The Association requires compliance with all rules of the Association and owners can be penalized, financially or otherwise, for infractions by themselves, their rental managers, renters, guests or tenants. The Association, however, does not manage unit interiors and any questions or concerns regarding the accommodations, amenities, contents or cleanliness of a unit should be directed to the entity through whom you rented and not the Association or its staff. 10. Unlawful activity, excessive noise, loud parties or unruly guests/visitors are prohibited and will result in being asked to leave. Any financial repercussions are between the renter/guest and the entity through whom they rented. 11. The Association, Board of Directors, Property Management Company and/or staff members of the Maravilla HOA may enforce compliance and/or seek law enforcement assistance in removal of anyone who does not comply with the rules of the Association.
