OUR "OTHER HOME". Located on the Treasure Coast in "OCEAN RESORTS", our community of 400 homes is bordered on one side by the Indian River, and on the other side by the Atlantic Ocean. The private beach, which is NEVER crowded, is just a short walk away, as is the marina on the riverside. Need we say more? The fishing, sunning and water sports are the best!
OCEAN RESORTS is a well kept secret! Many people have been coming for 10, 15, 20+ years. The spirit of friendliness is very contagious. You can make friends with your neighbors, or enjoy your privacy, as you like.
The homes are ranch-stype with individual yards; many folks like the convenience of parking their car in "their driveway". It is more pet friendly than a hi-rise building. Bring your bikes, and keep them on the parking pad. Life is just so easy here!
OCEAN RESORTS's amenities are the REASON it can be difficult to find a rental here. There is an Olympic size, heated outdoor pool in view of the ocean, tennis courts, bocce courts, shuffleboard, a clubhouse buzzing with activities, and numerous planned events for the "snowbirds." Poker evenings, bridge, aquatic and fitness programs, walking and biking are some of the things to do. Special events include Spaghetti Dinners, "I Love Ocean Resorts" Week, and the March Luau, and much more.
YOU WILL NEVER RUN OUT OF THINGS TO DO, JUST TIME TO DO IT ALL.
Our house is nearly new. Hurricane Frances paid a surprise visit in 2004. Everything is freshly painted, with new carpeting throughout. The Living, Dining, and "Ocean" rooms are bright and sunny, with a full wall of windows facing the ocean.
The kitchen is white, bright and fun to cook in, with all the appliances and gadgets, dishes and glassware of a home kitchen. Laundry is adjacent.
The master bedroom is spacious and peaceful, with cottage pine furniture (even a four poster, queen bed), a wall of mirrored closets, a TV, and a large bath. The guest room has twin trundle beds. The living area has a queen sleep sofa; the Ocean Room has another queen sleep sofa. In the closet is a full-size, inflatable bed, just in case!
You will enjoy sunrise in the Ocean Room, which is also the dining room, with a 180 degree view of the ocean. The sunsets are so spectacular from the porch. The time will go so fast that you will wish you could stay longer. Next year, maybe you will!
