*****SPECIAL OFFER!!!***** From 15 November 2008 through 15 March 2009, the numbers stay the same but the currency sign changes from €uros to U$! Yes, you read right! A weekly rental of €uros 3,000 becomes only U$dllrs 3,000. This represents a big savings, especially for our snow- and gray sky-bound visitors, anxious to see again some of that provençal sunshine, to soak in our warm and bubbling jacuzzi, to visit restaurants and places of interest without "hassle," to enjoy those wonderful and romantic nights in one of our PROVENCE PARADISE cottages, in front of the fireplace, with a glass of great red wine in hand! Yes, provençal life is great...even in the dead of winter! In fact, provençal life is amazing...anytime! Santé!!!

"La Tuilerie" at PROVENCE PARADISE is a 17-th century farmhouse, best suited for families and /or for groups of friends. This house sleeps up to 12 people and is part of a cluster of six old, provencal farm houses, with a total capacity for accommodation of up to 37 guests in our "hamlet" at PROVENCE PARADISE.

In La Tuilerie, we offer one king-size bedroom with en suite toilette, shower and bathtub, plus one bedroom with two double beds and en suite toilette and shower, plus another twin-bedded room, which shares a toilette and shower with another king-size bedroom. Need even more space? For kids, there is an additional kids' sleeping area on the mezzanine level. For additional adults, we can add a very comfortable "Guest Quarters," with king-size bedroom and jacuzzi bath, just across the terrace from La Tuilerie. That brings our capacity for very comfortable accommodation to 12+.

A big fireplace is a central focal point in the indoor social area, along with a grand piano and a wet bar. Then, there is a very functional, modern kitchen, with even a provençal "island" and rotisserie fireplace, with a large family dining table for up to 12 hungry eaters. Just outside, guests enjoy summertime, family life is on the large, outdoor covered terrace, with private use of a barbeque, comfortable seating for cocktails and games, plus a stone dining table seating for everyone. From this terrace, you can see the mill wheel turn.... something very special, indeed.

The large, 7x10 metre pool, family jacuzzi (heated year-round) and summer kitchen are just down an old stone stairway from this old farmhouse, as are the family game areas and sun/shade furniture for guests. La Tuilerie is a very private, family living area, with an old Roman wall and tall shrubs and trees, to assure privacy from the outside.

We rent this authentic, provençal farmhouse, so full of light, color and history, for week-long periods throughout the year, starting generally on Friday's.

Restoration of this 17-th century property involved two years of hard work, to create full-comfort indoor and outdoor living area which covers about 400 square metres. A true, labor of love! All the modern conveniences our guests would expect from a five -star property are brought together under one tiled roof. Walls are so thick that there is no need for summertime air conditioning. Be lulled to sleep by the cascade of water in the gardens and by the slow turning of the old mill wheel. Something magic!

Please have a quick look at our PROVENCE PARADISE website.

Property Location
"La Tuilerie at PROVENCE PARADISE" is the largest property in our restored "hamlet," on a hill just above the old town centre of Saint Remy de Provence. We are well within walking distance of all activities and shops, not more than 10 minutes on foot along the old canal path or following the quiet, country road into town.
Saint Rémy de Provence is at the centre of activity in this part of southern France. Sunshine guaranteed, interesting sight-seeing, fine wines and dining, a warm jacuzzi year-round, huge pool and terraces,... Our guests come from all around the world. We speak many languages and are here ready to help you to LOVE PROVENCE...just like we do.

To re-create our "hamlet," we have completely refurbished five other provençal farmhouses from the 17th century. Others include "L'Orangerie"(VRBO #79365), which sleeps 4, plus "Le Vieil Moulin" and "La Tour de la Girouette" (VRBO #78417), which sleep 6 and 8 respectively. Just down the hill our guests also stay in "La Bastide des Micocouliers" and "La Pierre Milliaire"...on the other side of small streams which flow through the gardens toward the watermill and cascade to make the wheel turn slowly.

This property was recently awarded a FIVE STAR classification by the French Board of Tourism.

Specifically, "La Tuilerie" was built literally room-by-room, starting in the early 17th century (1621). This was the farm home of the owners of a small factory authorized by a patent from King Louis XIV to manufacture roof tiles and bricks. Restoration of this property involved reconstruction of the entire roof and much of the interior walls, floors and windows. Inside, we have built and furnished an authentic provencal, full comfort living area.

"La Tuilerie" is a large, family house, with plenty of space outside, too, for drinks and dinner plus memorable summer evenings, with the mill wheel in sight.

We are present and active in further restoration work elsewhere on the property, as well as in gardening and maintenance of our "hamlet." Ready to help you make your séjour in Provence a positive and memorable one, we invite you to peruse the website listed in this announcement and to contact us soonest, if you have questions.

Come see for yourselves. And, thanks for your interest in our "hamlet"--"Au Moulin Entre Deux Mas" (translation: "At the Mill Betwen Two Old, Provencal Farmhouses." Hope to see you here one day soon!

    • Our group met for an idyllic stay at William's hamlet in early October, and we all want to return. "Wonderful", "relaxing", "welcoming", "great location" - were the comments from our 7 friends who vacationed with us, and we agree that it was a special place that far exceeded our expectations. William, thanks for a great holiday !

      Homeowner Response:
Thanks, Anne and Dave, for such wonderful organization! Your San Diego friends were fun to have with us...we look forward to greeting someday those who "chickened out" at the last minute! They seem to have found out from you exactly "what they missed."

What can we say from our PROVENCE PARADISE end??? These are great people, with Katie's super organization, folks moved in and out for 4- and 5-day stays. The Mills helped us to get to know their family and friends. It was a real pleasure to host and help all of them. That Finn...what a kid. We want him back here...with Mom and Dad, plus all future brothers and sisters!

    • We had the good fortune of spending 2 weeks in September at the hamlet. I feel pretty fortunate to have "lucked" in to finding the place and it certainly not only met but exceed my expectations. The setting was ideal; a short walk from town and many great places to see within an hour. I loved the different nooks around the property to relax... on the deck, in the yard, by the pool. It was a great setting for a group as everyone could have their "alone" time while the house provided a great gathering place for some memorable group meals. William and his extended team's hospitality and willingness to help in whatever way (traveling with a 8 month old, we especially appreciated it!) was the icing on the cake but an important one. The advice on what to see and do was better than anything I have gotten at a hotel and really helped us get the most out of the 2 weeks we spent in St. Remy. Oh yes, and I really liked that you got the chance to meet the other interesting people staying at the "hamlet". We found it pretty ironic that our neighbor's were fellow Oregonians! William, thanks so much for making us (and all of our guests) feel so welcome, pampered and relaxed. We can't wait to plan the next trip. - Katie, Curt and Finn Miller

      Homeowner Response:
What really great people to have around! The mix of Katie and Curt's relatives and friends kept changing over the weeks...that's great, we just helped to change a few sheets and towels and welcomed some new faces! What organization! A very pleasant experience, indeed.

And you folks know already that we will be here waiting for you to return...next time with your gang of local friends. It was great to have you here. Thanks for putting up with our storm drain project. The heavy rain came last evening and the water just "disappeared."

    • Talk about exceeding expectations. This was one of our best vacations in Provence. We stayed two weeks at Le Vieil Moulin. The house was beautiful, meticulously restored, very private, wonderfully equipped and oozing Provence charm. The grounds are exceptional and historic with a lovely pool, hot tub and small paths winding through gardens. The location is so convenient to St Remy and all the areas attractions and restaurants. William Moore and his staff were amazing. Thank you for the coissants at our door every morning. We certainly will return.

      Homeowner Response:
And, we certainly DO hope that you will return. That would be our pleasure. With so many friends vacationing in the area at the same time, you could take over the whole "hamlet" for a week next Fall!

    • We stayed at the hamlet for 2 weeks at the end of August, the first week in L'Orangerie by ourselves and the second week in La Tuilerie with 6 other family members. We found La Tuilerie superb and William and his staff very friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient for exploring Provence and within walking distance of the town, which is charming. It was my family's first visit to France and they couldn't have had a better place, or host, to give them a wonderful holiday. We all had a lovely holiday and my family thoroughly enjoyed themselves, seeing a bit of the Provence countryside and relaxing around the Mas and pool, it was heavenly. Thanks also for all the breakfasts that you so kindly delivered, again this was very much appreciated and a lovely touch. The meals on arrival were also a wonderful welcome and let the holiday begin right away. William, you really have created a wonderful place for a relaxing holiday. I'm sure that we will be in touch with you again and visit your part of the world again but in the meantime thank you again and take care.

      Homeowner Response:
Maureen and George, thanks for taking the time to write to us from way up there in Scotland! Thanks, too, for including your email address; so prospective visitors can make contact with you, should they still have questions or doubts. We look forward to seeing you here again with us!

    • My wife and I just returned from a 3 weeks stay at La Tuilerie which we shared with 2 other couples. In a word, the place is fabulous! I have never stayed where we were made more welcome. William, the owner, and Bettina did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. There was a welcome dinner of salad, lasagna, desert, and wine in the refig when we arrived. William had a welcoming party at the pool on Sunday so we could meet the guests in his other homes. There were fresh croissants at our door the morning after we arrived (as well as many other days). He seemed to always be there when we needed his help (such as having to go to the doctors, directions, suggestions, etc) but was not intrusive. The accomodations are better then the pictures and the location is very convenient. It is easy to drive to all of Provence from here. St Remy is a charming town itself and the walk into town is fairly easy. It was also easy to drive and park in St Remy. One of my favorite things was to set on the patio after a day of sightseeing - there always seemed to be a breeze. We hope we can get back.

      Homeowner Response:
Thanks, Ralph and Nina, for taking the time to post your comments. It was our pleasure to greet and get to know you! "Come back and/or send other nice people like you!"

    • We stayed in La Tuilerie for 3 weeks with 2 other couples. Two of our grown children joined us for shorter periods. This is an exceptionally comfortable, attractive, and well-managed property, and we enjoyed our stay enormously. After several previous, disappointing experiences renting far-flung properties over the web, our time at La Tuilerie significantly exceeded our expectations. The owner/manager and his staff were warm, capable, and very willing to share their time and knowledge with us. The house, the grounds, and the people were all as lovely as Provence itself.

      Homeowner Response:
The pleasure was all ours! From the very beginning of the planning stages for this "multiple couple" stay at PROVENCE PARADISE, we knew that Peg and LeRoy were going to bring us a great group! We expect them and theire friends back in the not-too-distant future.

    • When I found this place on VRBO, I thought it looked too good to be true but I was wrong! It is even better than the pictures because of the gracious hospitality of William, the owner and his staff. William has created a small paradise just outside of the town of St. Remy de Provence that is beautiful and luxurious yet retains old world charm. It was a joy to share a meal around the beautifully set farmhouse dining table and to meet other guests in the hamlet. Thank you, William for a memorable vacation we will never forget!

      Homeowner Response:
My staff and I were very happy to have such a fun group stay with us in La Tuilerie over Easter week. It was wonderful that almost 30 of us could share a traditional paella dinner on Friday evening...in front of a roaring fire! Remember our motto: "Please come again and/or send other nice folks like you." That concept applies to the CAMPBELL's and Company perfectly.
