Delightful apartment, charmingly furnished, comfortable and convenitent. An 18 minute walk into the village. The staff tries to anticipate your every need without intruding on your privacy. We have stayed here twice and count the days until we return. William, the owner, speaks 5 languages and is a built in concierge with info on places to visit, restaurants to try, roads to travel and local history. When you arrive, dinner in in the refrig., just pop it in the oven, open the wine and enjoy! There is also food for breakfast. We have traveled all over the world and used many apartments and Provence Paradise is THE BEST...

9 of us rented this property for a week in September and we all had the time of our lives. The property was so well equiped, William our host has thought of everything. The entire house was spotless and every detail was perfect from the wonderful dinner waiting for us in the 'frig the day we arrived to the fresh croissaints delivered most mornings. I especially enjoyed the kitchen and dining rooms with their Provencal decor, .heirloom china and glassware. Large candelabras were on the table, and the lights were on dimmers to add to the ambiance. The bedrooms were spacious and with the thick stone walls it was quiet and comfortable with all of us in the house. William couldn't be more helpful. One of our guests had a medical situation and William drove him to the local hospital, we had a guest get lost, William was the local "search party" He couldn't do enough for us and always with a positive attitude. I have rental property in Colorado and am familiar with being an "Innkeeper", William surpassed our expectations, it's truly a labor of love for him. We all hope to go back next year.

Amazing week at Provence Paradise

Guest: Guy_Ruth (Tel Aviv Israel)
Date of Stay: 09/03/10 Review Submitted: 10/09/10

We stay at Saint Remy for one week at the beginning of September , 6 adults and 3 young kids. We found Provence paradise at the Internet, and decide to go there based on the great review on this site . Although we read about the place - how nice it is and the great hospitality, all of us were amazed from the beautiful house (Le Tuilerie) and we didn't expect such a worm hospitality. The fridge was packed with delicious food , which William made for us . William share his knowledge about the area , and was willing to help us in any problem. The place is equipped with absolutely everything one can need for a great vocation, and it was well organized for our babies. The week pass so quickly and all of us wish to go buck once again to Provence paradise.

Fabulous, Beautiful, Don't hesitate to come

Guest: Suzie (St. Paul, Minnesota, USA)
Date of Stay: 06/11/10 Review Submitted: 08/09/10

My 3 weeks in the Le Tuileries "mas" was a Provencal Paradise. We were 3 generationsm with the number varying between 8 -13 people, ages 13 to 77. Kristi, 22 yrs, went from room to room shouting "I love it". Dinner was waiting in the fridge for the first night and William brought croissants many mornings. He was so helpful: a SIM card for my phone, computer connections, ideas for the days activities, direction, best parking spots, lunch or dinner reservations, if we wanted. Many guide books were around the house. The kitchen was VERY well equipped and all we needed was the days' food. He arranged an all day wine tasting tour and chef to prepare & serve a special dinner for us. Now and then he brought the local rose wine to the pool where we got to meet the other guests. I want to return as had other guests we met. Suzie St. Paul, MInnesota USA + Michigan and Minnesota families, 6 in each family

Owner response:I think we had just as great a time with Suzie and her family as they did with us! Lots of curiosity about our PROVENCE PARADISE project, about things going on around here.... and there are lots! A real pleasure to "host" this family group from America!

I thought the Provence weather might be risky in March, but it was beautiful. Warm days with, almond and cherry trees in bloom everywhere, cool nights perfect for sleeping and enjoying the fireplace. Bill's hospitality was above and beyond, and he has worked very hard to make the property very comfortable welcoming. The great surprise was how everything was walkable from Provence Paradise. On the edge of the property is an old Roman aquaduct network with a walking path alongside. You can turn north and just walk into real, rural Provence countryside for miles, past old working farmhouses, horses, picturesque cows grazing along streams, orchards in bloom. Turn south and the path takes you around the edge of St. Remy de Provence and then turns west so you can use it to hike to the Greco-Roman ruins at Glanum and the hospital where Van Gogh committed himself. Another surprise was the ancient town in the center of the village. The "downtown" of St. Remy de Provence is defined by a circular street that goes around the oldest part of the village. On this bustling street was pretty much all you wanted - bookshop, tabac, numerous cafes, internet cafe (though Provence Paradise has wireless) etc. But inside the circle in the oldest part of town we found a smaller, more intimate places to eat and a wonderful, welcoming wine bar without another tourist in sight. I can't wait to get back!

Owner response:And, we cannot wait to have you and your son Colin back, Tom! We have lots more historical documentation to share, plus a few bottles of that red stuff... in front of a nice fire.

Our group met for an idyllic stay at William's hamlet in early October, and we all want to return. "Wonderful", "relaxing", "welcoming", "great location" - were the comments from our 7 friends who vacationed with us, and we agree that it was a special place that far exceeded our expectations. William, thanks for a great holiday !

Owner response:Thanks, Anne and Dave, for such wonderful organization! Your San Diego friends were fun to have with us...we look forward to greeting someday those who "chickened out" at the last minute! They seem to have found out from you exactly "what they missed."

What can we say from our PROVENCE PARADISE end??? These are great people, with Katie's super organization, folks moved in and out for 4- and 5-day stays. The Mills helped us to get to know their family and friends. It was a real pleasure to host and help all of them. That Finn...what a kid. We want him back here...with Mom and Dad, plus all future brothers and sisters!

We had the good fortune of spending 2 weeks in September at the hamlet. I feel pretty fortunate to have "lucked" in to finding the place and it certainly not only met but exceed my expectations. The setting was ideal; a short walk from town and many great places to see within an hour. I loved the different nooks around the property to relax... on the deck, in the yard, by the pool. It was a great setting for a group as everyone could have their "alone" time while the house provided a great gathering place for some memorable group meals. William and his extended team's hospitality and willingness to help in whatever way (traveling with a 8 month old, we especially appreciated it!) was the icing on the cake but an important one. The advice on what to see and do was better than anything I have gotten at a hotel and really helped us get the most out of the 2 weeks we spent in St. Remy. Oh yes, and I really liked that you got the chance to meet the other interesting people staying at the "hamlet". We found it pretty ironic that our neighbor's were fellow Oregonians! William, thanks so much for making us (and all of our guests) feel so welcome, pampered and relaxed. We can't wait to plan the next trip. - Katie, Curt and Finn Miller

Owner response:What really great people to have around! The mix of Katie and Curt's relatives and friends kept changing over the weeks...that's great, we just helped to change a few sheets and towels and welcomed some new faces! What organization! A very pleasant experience, indeed.

Talk about exceeding expectations. This was one of our best vacations in Provence. We stayed two weeks at Le Vieil Moulin. The house was beautiful, meticulously restored, very private, wonderfully equipped and oozing Provence charm. The grounds are exceptional and historic with a lovely pool, hot tub and small paths winding through gardens. The location is so convenient to St Remy and all the areas attractions and restaurants. William Moore and his staff were amazing. Thank you for the coissants at our door every morning. We certainly will return.

Owner response:And, we certainly DO hope that you will return. That would be our pleasure. With so many friends vacationing in the area at the same time, you could take over the whole "hamlet" for a week next Fall!

We stayed at the hamlet for 2 weeks at the end of August, the first week in L'Orangerie by ourselves and the second week in La Tuilerie with 6 other family members. We found La Tuilerie superb and William and his staff very friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient for exploring Provence and within walking distance of the town, which is charming. It was my family's first visit to France and they couldn't have had a better place, or host, to give them a wonderful holiday. We all had a lovely holiday and my family thoroughly enjoyed themselves, seeing a bit of the Provence countryside and relaxing around the Mas and pool, it was heavenly. Thanks also for all the breakfasts that you so kindly delivered, again this was very much appreciated and a lovely touch. The meals on arrival were also a wonderful welcome and let the holiday begin right away. William, you really have created a wonderful place for a relaxing holiday. I'm sure that we will be in touch with you again and visit your part of the world again but in the meantime thank you again and take care.

Owner response:Maureen and George, thanks for taking the time to write to us from way up there in Scotland! Thanks, too, for including your email address; so prospective visitors can make contact with you, should they still have questions or doubts. We look forward to seeing you here again with us!

My wife and I just returned from a 3 weeks stay at La Tuilerie which we shared with 2 other couples. In a word, the place is fabulous! I have never stayed where we were made more welcome. William, the owner, and Bettina did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. There was a welcome dinner of salad, lasagna, desert, and wine in the refig when we arrived. William had a welcoming party at the pool on Sunday so we could meet the guests in his other homes. There were fresh croissants at our door the morning after we arrived (as well as many other days). He seemed to always be there when we needed his help (such as having to go to the doctors, directions, suggestions, etc) but was not intrusive. The accomodations are better then the pictures and the location is very convenient. It is easy to drive to all of Provence from here. St Remy is a charming town itself and the walk into town is fairly easy. It was also easy to drive and park in St Remy. One of my favorite things was to set on the patio after a day of sightseeing - there always seemed to be a breeze. We hope we can get back.

Owner response:Thanks, Ralph and Nina, for taking the time to post your comments. It was our pleasure to greet and get to know you! "Come back and/or send other nice people like you!"

We stayed in La Tuilerie for 3 weeks with 2 other couples. Two of our grown children joined us for shorter periods. This is an exceptionally comfortable, attractive, and well-managed property, and we enjoyed our stay enormously. After several previous, disappointing experiences renting far-flung properties over the web, our time at La Tuilerie significantly exceeded our expectations. The owner/manager and his staff were warm, capable, and very willing to share their time and knowledge with us. The house, the grounds, and the people were all as lovely as Provence itself.

Owner response:The pleasure was all ours! From the very beginning of the planning stages for this "multiple couple" stay at PROVENCE PARADISE, we knew that Peg and LeRoy were going to bring us a great group! We expect them and theire friends back in the not-too-distant future.

When I found this place on VRBO, I thought it looked too good to be true but I was wrong! It is even better than the pictures because of the gracious hospitality of William, the owner and his staff. William has created a small paradise just outside of the town of St. Remy de Provence that is beautiful and luxurious yet retains old world charm. It was a joy to share a meal around the beautifully set farmhouse dining table and to meet other guests in the hamlet. Thank you, William for a memorable vacation we will never forget!

Owner response:My staff and I were very happy to have such a fun group stay with us in La Tuilerie over Easter week. It was wonderful that almost 30 of us could share a traditional paella dinner on Friday evening...in front of a roaring fire! Remember our motto: "Please come again and/or send other nice folks like you." That concept applies to the CAMPBELL's and Company perfectly.

The six (actually seven, including the little one in the oven) of us knew that we wanted to spend a week in Provence. But, where? We searched all of Provence via the internet for just the right place to stay. William Moore's La Tuilerie rose to the top of our list. As it turned out, our stay at La Tulerie exceeded our high expectations more than we could have imagined. William was the best host one could imagine; always responsive, always discrete. The house and grounds were very beautiful and comfortable. And, the easy walk to St. Remy is icing on the cake. We WILL be back. If you have any concerns, whatsoever, about reserving this property, I welcome you to contact me. Warning: My review will be raving.

Owner response:"La Tuilerie" is our largest, old house...but not so large that it loses its authentic provencal and very intimate character: sitting on the terrace in the afternoon sun, listening to the mill wheel turn, working together/crowding around the kitchen "island" with a blazing fire at their backs... this is how the Carter's and the "Huffywax" gang took full advantage of their stay here with us at "Provence Paradise." Great folks.

We have visited and lived in Europe but this was the first trip for our 8 year old daughter. We have used VRBO for all our local and international travel and are very familiar with how properties are displayed. Having met William and Bettina, they and the property, easily exceeded our expectations. From our arrival dinner with wine, the croissants on the doorstep to the French girl next door who our daughter played with, our vacation was above and beyond our expectations. Or in the words of our daughter - "AWESOME". With so much to see and do we're making plans for our return visit next year. William truly makes you feel as if you are part of the family!

Owner response:The McKenna's stayed in one of our most recently-restored properties: Le Vieil Moulin. We have very much enjoyed having them here! Sure hope they will come back and/or send their friends.

This was our first trip to Europe and our first time using VRBO. We were a little nervous. We were not sure if this place would be as nice as pictured or if it even existed. We are more than happy to report that not only does it exist but it is even better than the pictures. William, the owner and Bettina, the manager made our first trip both memorable and enjoyable. William is an excellent host! The property was absolutely beautiful. A wonderful dinner awaited us with chilled wine after a long day of travel from the states. We traveled with 2 families and everyone was very happy with the accomodations. Our teenagers especially enjoyed exploring St. Remy on their own. I would highly recommend this rental. It was wonderful!!

Owner response:The ERICKSON's took a leap of FAITH...and WON. We are here, ready to help, offer very high quality, family accomodations at reasonable prices, and we all have lots of fun together!!!!! Sign up for 2007, because almost all of 2006 is already reserved!
