Our ocean view vacation home is located on the Garden Island of Kauai on the sunny south shore. The beauty of Poipu awaits you at our brand-new Hawaiian plantation-style home located right next to Brennecke's Beach (world famous for body surfing) and Poipu Beach Park. Many have said that this is the prettiest house in Poipu.
Get lulled to sleep by the peaceful sound of waves breaking on the shore at Brennecke's. Check the surf at Left-lefts and Waiohai from the lanai. We are NOT a few minutes drive to the beach we are AT THE BEACH. It is a 45-second walk from your door step until you are swimming in the ocean at Brennecke's Beach located at the east end of Poipu Beach park. Poipu Beach has the only lifeguard on the south shore. It has very protected areas for swimming, snorkeling, body surfing, and boogie boarding with great surfing on the outside reef. Even though sunny Poipu Beach is the most popular beach on island, you have it all to yourself in the mornings - everyone else has to drive here, you see!
The studio is a darling hideaway-great for everyone-but especially nice for newly-weds. Honeymoons and Hawaii are synonymous, you know! Champagne will greet all honeymooners! Any milestone 10th, 25th, 50th anniversaries will also get the royal treatment-just let us know in advance.
Our place is less than a minute's walk from your lanai until you are in the water at Brennecke's Beach. The snorkeling right out in front is fabulous-lots of turtles and even dolphin on occasion! We have had many honeymooners stay with us who return year after year. It is such a great spot-close to everything, but still private and quiet.
The Bungalow is a private studio with small kitchenette (two-burner hot plate, microwave, large toaster oven and refrigerator with separate freezer that keeps ice cream at just the right temperature!), small dining and living area, and private lanai and of course a private bathroom. There is an outdoor shower with hot water for after the beach rinseoffs, in addition to the private bath inside with a porcelain bathtub/shower.
The Bungalow is on the first floor of our home, below our bedroom. We wrapped it up (ceiling and walls) with soundboard so we would not hear any noise, and vice versa, and it worked great! You honestly feel like you are in your own separate place. It's very private, yet we are close if you have questions.
We sit one lot back from the ocean. There is a two-lane road which runs along the shoreline. There are no houses on the ocean side of the road. It is only a service road to the houses in this area so there is not a lot of traffic as it is not a thoroughfare. There is a pretty good ocean view directly in front of the Bungalow as there is a large opening between the two one-story homes in front of us. You see the ocean with only a few giant palm trees waving in the breeze in the distance. We are on a flag lot, so we are far enough away from the road that you get no traffic noise-nothing but the sound of birds and surf breaking on the shore! It is really pretty great! |
