Fabulous Girls week vacation at Villa Miragalli!

Guest: Nichole (Arlington, VA, USA)
Date of Stay: 04/21/12 Review Submitted: 05/03/12

This past week, my girlfriends and I spent a week at the Villa Miragalli and had a fabulous time. The villa was every bit as perfect as it appeared on the web-site. Bruno could not have been more helpful before and during our stay. I have traveled all over the world and this vacation was truly one that I will never forget. We are already trying to figure out how we can find our way back to Villa Miragalli in the future. If you are adventureous enough to drive on the crazy roads of the Amalfi coast, it would be best to rent a car. We did not but were still able to get around using bus, train, and private taxi services. I wish I could have stayed an extra week and just relaxing by the pool but unfortunately work, family and other commitments called me home.

Owner response:Hi Nichole! We miss you already!!! Always Bruno

Villa Miragalli

Guest: Jane & Marc (Vancouver, Canada)
Date of Stay: 10/01/11 Review Submitted: 10/14/11

We recently had the opportunity to stay at the Villa Miragalli with a group of friends and must say that it is probably the most wonderful place we have ever stayed at. The location is perfect as there is a level property with pool deck, lawn, gazebo and an outdoor kitchen and outstanding views in both directions. The pictures on the website are nice, but the real thing is even better! We had intended to do a lot more exploring of the Amalfi Coast, but had a hard time tearing ourselves away from the villa. The house is extremely well-equipped, and it is obvious that Bruno, the owner has given a lot of thought to the appointments. Bruno was a wonderful host, who was extremely helpful with any and all of our questions. My only regret is that we didn't take him up on his offer to spend a day out on his boat. Next time for sure! The house was immaculate, and included in the fee was a mid-week visit from the cleaning staff. We will definitely return to the Villa Miragalli in the future.

Owner response:You ve totally reason the villa is better than in photos! Unfortunly we miss the boat trip because the sea conditions, next time! Thank you!

The 'Perfect' stay...

Guest: Elaine C.
Date of Stay: 09/24/11 Review Submitted: 10/05/11

We knew we had found something special when we found this villa, the perfect host for my dads 70th birthday, surprise holiday! Pompeii was the original plan for visiting this amazing area so the villa was an added bonus. Having seen the photos of the villa, we decided to do a surprise Roman Toga Party to make the most of the villa for Dad's birthday. With the most breathtaking views, the backdrop was set, and the Villa was the perfect place to relax together in luxury, with great surroundings, and to top it off the local restaurant 'Stelluccia' supplied us with a fabulous Roman Banquet of fresh Italian food, Louisa even wearing her own Toga, and Mama making Dad fresh birthday cake! If we needed any advice, Bruno was always at the end of the phone or on email and went out of his way to ensure that our stay was the best it could be, he gave us info on times of local buses, ferry's to Capri, places to eat, to trips to go on and generally a great personality to greet us as we arrived at the villa. The rooms were all huge, with high ceilings and great furnishings and the Villa really is home from home, with that extra luxury of having a jacuzzi to soothe aching muscles after a day out at Pompeii or wherever you choose to visit, there are many places to choose from. One day we drove down the coast to Amalfi, parked up in the harbour and took a local RIB speed boat back to Positano where we stopped for lunch on the beachfront and took the boat back to Amalfi, taking in all the outstanding views of the villas and restaurants built into the cliffs. I am only sad that I am now writing this review as it seems like yesterday I was reading the other reviews in excitement about visiting Villa Miragalli. We really didn't want to leave, the villa is truly the 'Perfect' place to stay with the 'Perfect' host. The Copus Family & friends (The 'Roman' Gang) - Surrey, UK xx P.S if you can get up early for Sunrise it really is worth it!

Villa Miraglli is a gem

Guest: Victoria B. (Seattle, Washington)
Date of Stay: 09/17/11 Review Submitted: 12/12/11

Have you ever had to choose between two equally incredible things? Well, we are not sure which was more incredible-Bruno or his Villa that we stayed in. When we first walked into the villa grounds-we were amazed at how fantastic the place was. While the photos do the villa justice, they still do not quite capture the majesty of the setting and the scenic feast that the eyes never tire of. We wandered the grounds and were not sure we were ever going to leave. Then we met Bruno. What an incredible owner. Bruno was amazingly helpful with whatever we needed. We have stayed at several villas in Italy, and never have any of the owners made us feel as welcome and pampered as Bruno did. Need recommendations for restaurants? Rental cars? A boat trip to Capri? Bruno was able to take care of it all for us. The best part was the private boat tour he took us on around Capri. He was very knowledgeable about the island, and gave us nice very commentary all the way around the island. When the gentleman on the boat were ready for a little adrenaline rush, Bruno quickly provided it with some acceleration of his boat over the waves around Capri. We all agreed that Bruno is an all around great guy and gracious host who respects your privacy but capably and willingly assists with any needs that arise. The villa itself is well laid out, with a pool that you frankly don’t want to get out of. It is hard to imagine swimming in an infinity pool with a better view in all of Italy. Best of all were the sunrises and sunsets. Over morning coffee on the patio, the sun rises behind a burst of clouds over the Amalfi coast, its light reflecting off the ocean far below. Sunsets are magical, as the sky turns all different shades of orange, pink and purple. Bring your camera, as you will be snapping dozens of amazing photos over the pool to capture the evening light show mother nature puts on for you. The villa is very private, and well fenced in so there are no neighbors who can see into the grounds (not that there are really neighbors to speak of-only one house across the street and none on the ocean side of the road). The villa is also just a ten minute walk down the road from the local village where you can find plenty of groceries, baked goods at a bakery, and the local espresso shop. For those who love good food, a ten minute drive to St. Agata on the peninsula has several great restaurants (including Don Alfonso, voted one of the top 10 restaurants in Europe) and excellent shops wit

Owner response:Receive a review like this it means that I really hit in the center all my goals as owner and host! I can't ask for more! This is a great incentive to do more and more for the guests and for the villa ( if it is possible:). Scott, Victoria and friends have been a really wonderful guests, for me it has like receive at home old friends. We really enjoy the boat-trip to Capriand we had lot of fun! Thank you so much!I really hope to see you again!Ciao! Bruno

Villa near Sorrento

Guest: Joe K. (Burlington Ontario Canada)
Date of Stay: 09/09/11 Review Submitted: 10/14/11

We recently returned from 2 wonderful weeks in Italy. The highlight without question was our stay at Villa Miragali. The home sits atop a 1000 foot cliff looking directly out to sea. The outdoor area is large with numerous sitting areas including around the infinity pool on the wood deck, under the cabana, the hammock area, around the hot tub on the lower deck or around the outdoor table on the stone patio. Inside the villa is spectacular. Four bedrooms, 3 with ensuites, large kitchen with eating area, dining room and living room with all the amenities including stereo and TV The home is very well equipped for cooking and eating in or simply lounging and enjoying meals a short walk away in town. The owner is a special person who knows the area well. His thoughtfulness only added to a wonderful experience.

Owner response:Thank you so much for your nice comments, as owner I haven't the right to rate the guests, if i could i'd put a 5 stars!;) Excellent people, it has been a pleasure for me to host at the villa. All the very best!

Beautiful, Secluded Getaway on the Sorrentino Coast

Guest: Charles (Houston, TX)
Date of Stay: 08/27/11 Review Submitted: 09/14/11

This is a lovely property overlooking the Mediterranean. The setting is as beautiful as the photos show. It is a comfortable and relaxing spot. The place is very clean and well maintained, and the owner is very helpful and accessible. You can pull right into the parking spot inside the gate and walk down 6 or 7 stairs to get into the place, not like some of the places, where you have to be part mountain goat. And the property is very comfortable and away from the crowds. This is perfect for a family or two or three couples wanting to get away together. But the one word of advice: it is a bit remote; anything that you want to do, other than grabbing something quick in Calli di Fontenelle is a ways -- a drive. Not that far, but with the winding roads, it takes time even for a confident driver. That is why you want to make your own retreat here. Otherwise, you wind up doing what I did, spending too much time driving instead of enjoying the place as it is. I did not fully appreciate this in advance; that is why I rated my overall experience at the property as "good" instead of "excellent." Nothing to do with the physical condition of the property itself, which is excellent, or the responsiveness of the Owner, which is also excellent.

Owner response:From 01/2005 this is the first Review 4 stars instead of 5 stars!Yes, the villa is away from the crowded area of Sorrento center (4 miles away-10 min drive) or Positano center ( 5 miles away-10 min drive), the car is needed to stay at the villa, if you're searching nightlife out of your house door, this is not the place where to be. If you'll not drive your car from the airport, we'll be happy to book a transfer from/to Airport and suggest you a rent a car in Sorrento or a "on call" driver service. Thanks

We have stayed in 4 other villas around the world and this one is the best so far. The house is nice, clean and in a great location. The view is out of this world and the pool is amazing. You can drive to different places from the villa, you could also take the train. Bruno is very nice and helpful. We will be back sometime in the future. ENJOY !!!

Of all the villas that we have stayed at, this is one that we WILL return to. What a GREAT view. The photo's where great but to see them in real life is more than what we expected. The property was very well maintained and the house, and the view form the bedrooms made it all worth while. Would like to thank the owner, first for finding us when we got lost and for being such a great host. The surrounding area had all the amenities and attractions and keep us busy. As for would I recommend it to friends - YES. See you soon.

Most beautiful setting I have ever encountered created perfect family vacation!

Guest: Amy (NYC)
Date of Stay: 06/19/11 Review Submitted: 08/17/11

My parents were generous to take all their kids and significant others on a vacation for THEIR 60th birthdays! We spent weeks reviewing and surfing the internet through many over-priced or impersonal villa rental options throughout Italy before landing on Villa Miragalli. We read the reviews and as beautiful as the Villa was online, what spoke to us was how highly people spoke about Bruno the owner. We are the type of people who care more about relationships and the personality of the owner than the write-up online. We rolled the dice and came up big!! We flew from Minneapolis,NYC and Detroit to Rome drove two hours to the Villa and open the gates to the most beautiful thing I have ever seen!! The property was spectacular in every way. The grounds were perfectly manicured, overlooking L'Galli islands which are two little tiny islands in the sea that are so picturesque. Many people dock their boats around them on weekends to enjoy the swimming and sunshine. We sat on the deck and watched from luxury. Upon arrival, Bruno had the fridge stocked by request with wine, beer and Italian delicacies. We opened vino, made the most incredible meat and cheese plate and began the best vacation of our lives. We had grand plans of visiting lots of sites and towns nearby but many days we opted not to leave the heaven that was the Villa. When we did go out to another town, we were well situated near Positano, Praiano, Sorrento and more. One day we took the bus to Sorrento and then hopped the train to Pompeii. Super easy and affordable. Other days Bruno was wonderful to have his friends taxi service get us from place to place in an 8-person van. Other days we did things like boat rides or wine tours and Bruno was so kind to make phone calls and help us navigate the language barrier. One day he even took us out to Capri on his own beautiful boat!! Like I said it was tough to leave the Villa - we stayed in and cooked in the great kitchen and outdoor grill 5 nights! Why leave the view, the grounds and the people you love! We slept well in our very updated, clean rooms. There was washer/dryer, cable TV - we even stayed up til 3am to watch the NBA Finals!!! When we did go out, we loved Stellalucia which is walking distance up the street, and the people who run the town market did everything to understand our English frquests and offered us free espresso shots. The town, the people, the Villa and Bruno made it the best vacation our family has ever taken!!

Owner response:There are people that you feel like friends from the first moment, this is what i felt when I met this wonderful family! I can say that probably they have been the best guests that I received on the last two years. To the future guests: Upon request, i'll be happy to organize Boat trip on my boat, of wines tour, personal chef, personal shopper, or any kind of extra service, simply ask! All th best! Thank you Ciao! Bruno

Under the Sorrento Sun

Date of Stay: 05/28/11 Review Submitted: 06/26/11

We were 7 women who stayed at the magical "Villa Miragali" from May 28- June 3, 2011. It was an amazing experience under the Sorrento Sun". We absolutely loved and enjoye every minute of our stay, from the moment we met Bruno to the beauty of the villa. The house is comfortable, cosy, convenient, and spacous. It easily had room for each of us to find our own little corner in the "sun." The views rendered us speechless- we kept saying " OMG " or 'ODM" in Italian. We pinched ourselves each day. The location was perfect. We had trouble leaving the villa to visit other places. We swam, read, chilled, drank and ate while looking over the vistas. it was also a perfect location for touring the coastline all the way to Ravello, Capri, and beautiful Sorrento. Great restaurants, from simple to perfect. Our favourite was home cooking wiht fresh produce from the wharf and market. Bruno, our host, was delightful and very helpful, taking care to accomodate us all. We might be back home but our hearts and mind are still at Villa Maragali I have recommended the villa to many friends and definitely intend to come back with my family and friends. One of the best holidays ever. Monette

Owner response:Monette and friends, have been a amazing hosts, they really enjoyed the villa, the infinity pool and the location, we had a wonderful boat day trip to the Island of Capri and "Li Galli" isles on my boat, really fun! Ciao Bruno

A relaxing retreat!

Guest: Sue (Epsom, Surrey)
Date of Stay: 08/21/10 Review Submitted: 09/23/10

After 4 months of chemotherapy what my family and I really really needed was a rest. A "proper" holiday in spacious, comfortable, clean accomodation in a beautiful location. We got all this and more at Villa Miragalli. It was like a home from home only better! Even before we arrived Bruno was offering his help. The directions were spot on ( the photos helped!) so just for a change we didn't get lost! The view just takes your breath away- every day we were there I took photos of it because you don't tire of it! We had visited the area a few years previously so had already been to Capri, Pompei, Ravello, Sorrento town - all of which are well worth a visit. We ended up spending most of our time at the villa because it had almost everything we needed- stunning view, pool, table tennis, hot tub, sun beds, comfotable places to curl up with a book, shady terrace for lunch, a.c. indoors. After an initial Big Shop in Sorrento we could get topped up with lovely fresh bread, cheese, meat, veg etc at the small supermarket in the village. The people there were so friendly and helpful! Had ridiculously cheap pizza and a wonderful latte in the restaurant and coffee shop opposite. We did manage to tear ourselves away and go to the beach a few times because it was nice to have a proper swim! - Marina del Cantone was nice; pebble beach, car parking 10 euros a day, sun beds/parasols to hire. Also Marina di Puolo (mix of private and free beach- sandy) and Cala di Puolo (smarter but only private - pebbles) , parking 5 euros- on the road out of Sorrento on the way to Massa Lubrense. When we said we were going to Positano for dinner Bruno recommended the Hotel Pupetto on Fornillo beach, which was great and quite reasonably priced for Positano! We parked the car at the bottom of the town (very steep car parking prices bet 4 and 6 euros an hour!) and walked on down through the town to the beach- which looked lovely (also sandy) and then on round the headland; a short but beautiful walk especially as the sun is going down.We also has a nice and very reasonably priced meal at Los Stuzzichino ( I think that is how you spell it!) at S'Agata. Would I reccommend this property to anyone looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of the world? Most definitely!

We loved staying at the Villa Miragalli in winter. It was the perfect place to relax after a busy holiday season, and we loved the endless views of the Mediterranean. We were there during two incredible storms, and loved watching the stormy sea through the windows! The house is very well equipped and comfortable, and the grounds are beautful. The rooms are large and nicely furnished, with incredible views. The owner, Bruno, was away on vacation but his charming mother Rosa made us feel very welcome and was very helpful.

We spent a wonderful holiday in Villa Miragalli in August 2009. The villa is great and the views are amazing. Bruno was very attentive and gave lots of advice. We had some lovely day trips to Pompeii, Vesuvius, Capri, Positano, Ravello, but best of all was being at the villa, relaxing, enjoying the pool and the view and generally chilling out. We didn't even have to cook to eat in - the best value restaurant in the area (Stellucia) delivers to the door! Thank you again, Bruno.

Thank you, Bruno, for all of your assistance, kindess and consideration during our stay at your villa! Due to some pretty wild storms, we experienced some problems with power, etc. but Bruno was quite attentive and quickly strove to address any problems that arose; he also arranged for a lost piece of luggage to be delivered to his own personal residence, so that we were not stuck for a second day waiting for the airline to deliver it to the villa. The property has an amazingly gorgeous view and is private and nicely appointed. Overall, it is a wonderfully beautiful place to come and unwind! Thank you, again, Bruno, for all of your kindness; we hope to see you again someday!

Our stay in Sorrento at Villa Miragalli was lovely and unequaled. The Villa is beautiful with a spectacular view..it is very clean, spacious and airy as well as very comfortable. It is in a most private spot with a privately operated gate. The grounds are lovely with several areas set up for relaxing, napping, reading or simply enjoying the spectacular view. The villa is within walking distance of excellent restaurant and a conventience store. Bruno was extremely accomodating in answering any and all our questions! We would highly recommend this wonderful villa!

"Magical Miragalli" I remember arriving on our first day, slightly nervous that the reality may disappoint compared to the amazing photos. But no, the beauty of Villa Miragalli goes beyond superlative. The house is wonderful, spacious, airy, with every comfort and convenience and the garden stunning but of course the views render one speechless. We had a wonderful day hiring a boat, visiting Capri, some wonderful local fish restaurants and a number of lazy evenings in Positano not to mention fantastic pizzas (and lots of limoncello) in Sorrento. And not forgetting the lovely Bruno, the host: delightful and very helpful not to mention patient! This was the best family holiday we've experienced and I only wish we were able to return this year. Hopefully 2011...

One can obviously see the enchanting view that awaits you at this beautiful villa by looking at the picutres, but you must experience it in person! I truly hope to return one day. The villa is comfortably appointed with a flat screen tv and a stereo, as well as air conditioning and seems larger than expected. The grounds are secure, private and relaxing. The villa's owner, Bruno, acts like your own personal fairy godfather while you are staying at Villa Miragalli and he is always ready to answer questions or come and check on you during a storm (as he did with us!) Bruno goes the distance for his guests and he is a true host. If you must be "connected" for business reasons, the only complaint one would have is that (when we were there anyway) the cell phone and internet connectivity was either non-existent or very sporadic. Howefver, the villa does have a land line for emergencies. Go to Villa Miragalli, you will not be disappointed that you did. More review details

Date of Stay: 06/06/09 Review Submitted: 06/01/10

Villa Miragalli simply has one of the most beautiful views you could ever hope for. Sitting perched on the side of a mountain with total privacy looking out over the sea, it just doesn't get any better. You truly feel like you have found a slice of heaven. The constantly changing weather, clouds and colors made for a great and relaxing week. Italy is a beautiful country and we saw a lot of it during a 2 week vacation, but nothing topped this villa. There is much to do and see on the Amalfi Coast, but you may be tempted to just spend a lot of time at the villa because it so relaxing and beautiful. The small village of Coli di Fontanelle is a nice change of pace from the more well known towns in the area and a great location to explore from. Bruno (the owner) is a great host and a really nice person. He was always available if we needed advice or help, and definitely helped make our stay that much better. He knows the area so well, and was great at directing us in where to eatb and visit. Since I'm wrting this review 2 years after our initial stay, I guess the best endorsement I can give is that we are returning to Italy this year for another 2 week vacation and one of thos weeks is once again being spent at Villa Miragalli. There was no reason for us and our friends to consider anywhere else to stay on the Amalfi Coast.

Where to begin! I think our week at Villa Miragalli with our friends was truly one of the best vacations of my life! While we were looking forward to the beautiful setting, the pictures do not do it justice. The view, the islands, the wonderful garden setting, the pool, the ping pong table, the nearby vilage; it just goes on and on. I had great plans for exploring the Amalfi coast but we couldn't bear to leave the property! Bruno (our host) was a great help in providing recommendations for local restaurants and the area. He also did a great job checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. On top of that, we really just enjoyed talking with him, hearing about the area, etc. We have already recommended Villa Miragalli to many of our friends and hosted 2 Italian dinners in tribute to our amazing time. The prosciutto, melon, mozzerella and pasta doesn't measure up to our experience with the local cheese, prosciutto and wine, but we're trying to relive the memory! Bruno, we hope to come back again with Dave and Pat. You still need to play in the ping pong tournament because Mark wants to ruthlessly defeat you:) Diane and Mark Hyland

We stayed in Villa Miragalli from June 28th to July 12th 2008. We absolutely loved our stay - the villa, the views, 'blue' the cat all made our holiday just wonderful. We stay in villas every year and this has to be one of the very best. It truly was a struggle to go and visit the delights of the Almafi coast. All we wanted to do was chill and look at the views!Bruno, your help and attention to detail was first class. We would love to return someday and we will be recommending the villa to our friends. All the very best, Lisa, Debbie and Dave and Beverly.

What an unbelieveably relaxing week we had with two of our best friends at Villa Miragalli in Colli di Fontanelle. A much needed stay in paradise after running around Venice, Florence and Rome for 8 days; in fact my wife said on the first morning while standing on the balcony that she thought she was in heaven! Italy is a beautiful country and this villa might be in the most beautiful spot of all. The views are breathtaking (pictures really don't do them justice) and always changing with the clouds, sun and weather. We spent far more time than originally planned just "hanging out" there, but after arriving, we could not think of any reason not to simply spend most of our days reading, playing ping pong, jumping in the pool, enjoying the nice weather, eating good Italian food, drinking local wines and staring out at the magnificent views -- maybe on our next visit we'll finally get to Pompei and Capri. No matter where you go, it doesn't get any better than this spot. And if you do decide to leave, it's very convenient to all the towns/villages of the Amalfi Coast. I don't know when we will return to Italy, but when we do, it will definitely be to come back to Villa Miragalli. Bruno is a great host and and more importantly a really nice guy. He was always willing to help and always available if we needed anything -- like when we accidentally shut off the solar panels that provide hot water. And Colli di Fontanelle is a great change of pace from the bigger cities -- very small village with friendly, helpful people, but all the supplies/food/wine you need just a 1/2 mile walk from the villa. Please feel free to email me if you want to know more about what it's like to rent a slice of heaven.

Owner response:Thank you Dave! I think that all the owners dreaming to recive guests like you and Pat, Mark and Diane! And after comments like yours.Thank you again! always Bruno

We spent 4 delightful weeks at the Villa in May 2008. The views are unsurpassed. It was a marvelous place for just sitting around and reading or as a base for exploring the area from Naples to Salerno, including Capri and especially the Amalfi Coast. The owner, Bruno Acampora is charming and was consistently helpful with advice and all sorts of assistance, from the internet to parking in various cities.

DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURES!!! This place is so much more than you can see or imagine! Anyone wanting to experience the Amalfi coast like the locals do it, should come and stay here. The villa was very clean and much more spacious than we had anticipated. I am a tough critic who usually stays at the Westin when traveling with family in the U.S., and enjoyed this villa to the fullest. Evening dinners on the grand terrace, candlelight, wine, cheese from the local merchants, grilled beef on the charcoal... The views from the villa cannot be described, as the rest of the Coast. The beds were very comfortable, and the availability of a washing machine and dishwasher on the premises were very much appreciated. The owner, Bruno, could not been more accommodating. He is an excellent resource and a great gentleman. For good wines, go into Sorrento, as several shops have an excellent selection of brunellos, super tuscans, and other regional favorites. The mozzarella is the best in the world; don't miss it. And please, don't make the same mistake as I did: driving into Naples! Take the boat directly from Sorrento, and add 5 years to your life. Please feel free to email me with any questions.

The villa was a wonderful surprise...so much more than we even anticipated. It was so large and so clean. The views were fantastic. Bruno was very helpful in answering all our questions about where to go, how to get there, and what to do. After all the traffic, noise and people in the towns, it was a great place to come back to and relax. I'll definitely be back...more than once.

Villa Miragalli (or Bellevue) was a delight from start to finish - Wonderful views, fine accomodations, great location convenient to more than can be seen in a week, friendly natives in the shops and restaurants, and above all a superb host in Bruno. We would recommend it to anyone, and entertain hopes of seeing it again ourselves. Beth Hill & Howard Ellis

Villa Miragalli is a perfect location for touring the sorrentine peninsula. It was wonderful to have such amazing views and easy access to all the sights. We especially loved how peaceful and quiet the villa was. Bruno also added extra conveniences like a crib, highchair and a few toys for our son. One week was just not enough to enjoy the villa and visit the area. Thank you Bruno for your hospitality and great advice!

Bruno, again thank you for a truly outstanding vacation in your marvelous villa. The views were spectacular and your home was beautiful. We woke up to magnificent sun rises overlooking the Galli Islands and slept in the peace and quiet of a solitude Italian villa in the countryside. Touring the Amalfi coast and knowing that many tourists are overpaying for the opportunity to see that marvelous view and knowing that we have that view right outside your balcony, outside the glass doors of the bedroom and on the garden terrace, we didn't want to leave the villa. Your mother, Senora Rossalina is a true Renaissance woman and we enjoyed her company and the history of your wonderful country...it was also very nice to have our own interpreter, tour guide and bargaining expert. We also immensely appreciated you introducing us to Nausiea who made a marvelous authentic Italian and very romantic dinner to help us celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The food was FANTASTIC! We could not have asked for a more perfect location to celebrate this most memorable event. Thank you for everything and we hope to see you again soon. We will recommend your home to all of our friends and family and to anyone else who asks us how we enjoyed our Italian vacation. Ciao, Gilda and Jeff Price

Stayed at this wonderful villa in July '07 with my husband, teenage daughter and her friend. We had a fantastic, relaxing week. The villa is well equipped and very traditional, gardens are large and the balcony from the lounge & main bedroom was superb! The view is probably the best we have ever experienced and this amazing location was what made it so peaceful & relaxing. It is within walking distance to local shops and one of the best local restaurants we have ever experienced, "Stellucia"! A real Italian restaurant with very reasonable prices. Big thankyou to Bruno and look forward to returning soon. Ciao!!

Villa Miragalli was the best vacation rental we had anywhere in the world (and we had many). The view is breathtaking, the villa is tastefully furnished, the garden has many seating spots and the location of the villa is very convenient to visit the region. Best of all was the owner, Bruno, who was extremely gracious and helpful. He made our stay memorable.

It was one of the most brilliant vacation in my life! My husband and me stayed at villa from 16th to 30th June. We liked everything - perfect location and equipment of the villa, breathtaking view, silence and calmness. The house had all the facilities, I found everything I needed. It is rather difficult to get bored by the beautiful nature around, even if to stay there for a year. We explored all the coast, visited villas of our friends and realized that it was hard to find a better place. I hope that we can come back after some time. Thank you, Bruno!

We stayed 12 nights in Bruno's wonderful villa to include Christmas, New Years, and my daughter's birthday. What a wonderful time and a wonderful host! We enjoyed the house, garden, and view so much we only did minimal sightseeing. The drive to Vesuvius and Pompei was easy. Sorrento is a nice town as well, but the kids (12 & 10) enjoyed the hammock, ps2, piano, and just exploring at home (which is what it felt like!). There is horseback riding at the top of the hill as well. Bruno went out of his way to give us useful information and even took my husband to the bank and pharmacy when I needed antibiotics. The most helpful and gracious of all hosts I've encountered! The house was beautifully decorated with a tree for Christmas and the decor is beautiful, but comfortable as well! The pictures do not do it justice! We stayed at 2 other villa's on this trip (Rome & Tuscany) and this one was by far the best and well worth the price! The market and shops at the top of the hill were convenient and had all the items we needed for cooking or we would take a short drive to the larger market in town! We would love to return in the spring or summer. Bruno definitely made it extra special with his advice, extra touches, and hospitality! He was available daily. It was wonderful having the wireless setup for the laptop and our Vonage phone to call the states. The cell phone gave us peace of mind while driving (Bruno was only a phone call away when we got lost!). Along with the house came a wonderful book written by Bruno's mother about the Sorrento coast. Wonderful! He was nice enough to have her sign it for us and I even bought an extra for a gift! Words cannot describe the view and I can't imagine a nicer place to stay! When the pool is complete, I don't think we would ever leave the property! However, it is a good location for those who wish to explore during the day and return to excellence and relaxation at night! Capri, etc. is on our agenda for the next visit! We had a Christmas the kids will never forget and a great start to the New Year here! The telescope he has set up had the kids enthralled with the view of the islands off the coast and the ships! Feel free to email if you need additional information as I'm sure I left out so many of the wonderful details of the house and owner! Peggy Bell

My husband and I really enjoyed this Villa. Everything worked, the views were spectacular. Centrally located for the Amalfi Coast. The owner, Bruno Acampura, really made our stay great. He helped us with calling, finding, and bringing us our lost luggage. Gave us ideas for restaurants & sights to see. We enjoyed the delivery service right to our door from local restaurant. I loved dining on the balcony, and playing the piano, too.
