Four of us travelled to Williamsburg for a golf outing and these units were a perfect way for us to have bedroom privacy along with a common gathering area. Bill was very responsive, made all the arrangement and the resort complied with our request to have queen beds in all bedrooms instead of dual single beds. The rooms were very clean and there was no pressure to take the time share briefing, just a polite offer. The resort is centrally located and a great place to stay while in Williamsburg.
Owner response:Thanks I look forwad to your return. Bill

We enjoyed our stay at the Historic Powhatan Resort. Mr. Bill is an excellent renter. He has excellent communication and will see that all your requests are met. The resort room was very clean & comfortable. We requested a wheelchair accessible path and had no problems with coming to and from the unit. Upon arrival we had the hot tub filled, but the motor was not working. The resort staff quickly came out and fixed the problem. The resort is a timeshare resort, but after polietly saying "NO thank you," we were not bothered at any other time by requests to come to the meetings. The resort offered many daily activties for all ages. Very safe resort with security at front. The only problem I would say that is that arriving the week of Good Friday, the resort was very busy with many guests checking in. The wait was about 20 min. But I do know that can happen on holiday weeks.
Owner response:Just say NO and NO

Great experience with Bill. He had us set-up and confirmed within a couple of hours after receiving our email. Everything worked smoothly and the kids and I loved our Williamsburg vacation. Easy drive to Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, restaurants and grocery stores. Outdoor pool was cold (65 degrees!) but what would you expect in early April! Indoor pool got a bit crowded at night but what would you expect when the outdoor pool is 65 degrees! No complaints - staff handled things as well as could be expected. If you have young kids, be sure to check out the GIGANTIC playground just down the road from the resort!
Owner response:Thanks, glad yur family had a nice time and I look forward to your return. Shoot the pool in FL. is ony 70 degrees.

I love staying at Powhatan Resort! The renovated units are wonderful. I have stayed in a downstairs two bedroom unit with the hot tub as well as the upstairs 2 bedroom unit with the deck and queen and king bed. Everyone there is extremely friendly and helpful. Their computers in the business center were down the day I needed to print my boarding passes to fly out and they let me use a computer at the front desk to get them printed! I wanted to change my reservations from an downstairs unit to an upstairs unit to fit my needs better and this was done through Bill with ease. It is a short drive to Colonial Williamsburg and when you get back to your condo, it is like being at a resort! They were opening the outdoor pool the last weekend I was there and the pools look beautiful!! It is just a great place to stay and a great bargain!
Owner response:Thanks, I am glad you had a nice time and I look forward to your return, Bill

We had a great stay! It was like having home away from home for our time during homeschool week! The rooms were spacious and we loved having a kitchen too. We had a little bit of trouble getting housekeeping to attend to a toilet issue....but they eventually came. In spite of that, I would totally recommend and would want to stay here again. Oh, and a special thank you to Bill for answering all my questions so patiently!

I would like to personally thank you for the wonderful week we spent at this resort. The pictures didn't do the place justice. It was simply gorgous; way beyond what I was expecting. We enjoyed all the homeschooling activities in the area the week we were there. This resort was close to everything. Thank you for your generosity. Your willingness to share your property with others has made it possible for our family to follow our calling of homeschooling and to be able to afford to take advantage of such a wonderful educational opportunity. God bless you and your family!
Owner response:Thanks, the homeschoolers are a blessing to me as well.

As a former resident of Williamsburg, my time is spent visiting friends rather than being a tourist, but Powhatan is a perfect location for tourists. Close to everything! I would have been leary of the price had I not been already familiar with the property. Do not hesitate to rent this property from Bill. Be sure to request a renovated unit. Ours backed up to woods and was very private. A lake view would be awesome too. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub at the end of the day. The bed was the most comfortable we've ever had in a vacation rental. Our only problem was that the internet signal was so weak, we were unable to connect during our stay. Fortunately, B&N is not far away and provides free wi-fi. (Note: internet access is not included in the rental and must be purchased separately - just be aware that signal strength may be an issue.)
Owner response:Thanks, it is a nice piece of property being so close to Williamsburg.

I was originally planning to stay at the property 8/27 - 8/30. However, because of Hurricane Irene it became clear that we would need to change our travel plans. Bill was extremely accommodating and was able to change our reservation to a 8/29 check-in. While half of Willamsburg was still without power, the Powhatan resort was up and running. Obviously, the check-in line that afternoon was rather long, but it was very efficient. I belong to the Disney Vacation Club, so I am always hesitant about staying at other properties outside Disney, but the Powhatan Resort was very nice. The 2BR condo was spacious. The bed was comfortable and the appliances appeared to be new. The hot tub was a bonus. The grounds were nicely maintained and there were staff working from 7am - 5pm to clean up the ravages left over from the hurricane. The pool area was very nice. All of the staff were very professional and courteous. The resort was within easy driving distance to all points in and around Williamsburg. The only thing that I felt could be improved on would be the changeover to all flat screen TV's. Actually, this was more my husbands comment. This stay was very affordable and I can't thank Bill enough for changing our reservation. I was very worried that we were going to be out of our vacation all together. My only regret is that we could not stay longer. There are so many things to see and do in the area. We will definitely return and we will definitely use this property again.

This was a great place to stay with kids. The condo was very comfortable and spacious. Having a furnished kitchen made meal and lunch prep easy, and cheaper. Could have used more cooking spoons and tools, and kitchen towels but excellent cookware was provided. We also enjoyed having a hot tub just for the unit. We will definitely recommend this place to others and consider a return visit.

We had a wonderful stay at the Powhatan Resort - Thank you Bill for all your help - The service was great, the grounds are beautiful and most of all the 2-bedroom condo that we stayed in was very comfortable (there were 6 of us). Williamsburg has a lot to offer and wish we had more time to explore (we stayed a week). Would definitely consider staying here again.

My extended family and I stayed at the Powhatan in mid-August. The resort was amazing, with plenty to do for a family, including my daughter -- swimming, tennis, racquetball, movies, games to borrow, etc. We purchased the bounce pass and explored Williamsburg and the parks. The condo itself was clean, spacious, plenty of cooking equipment. We ran out of bathroom tissue at one point, and I called guest services and tissue was delivered within 5 minutes. The grounds are beautiful. Bill was extremely helpful during the reservation process. We will be back!

First I must say, that I was a bit leary that because of the price, the condo would not live up to my expectations. However, it exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked through the door all you could hear were the ooohs and ahhhs of my family. The condo was beautiful, and had a wonderful view of the lake, actually it was sitting right on the lake, close enough for us to feed the geese and turtles from our balcony. The kitchen had all them ammenities you could need, even a cork screw!! We purchased a bounce pass, and went to Busch Gardens, Water Country, and Colonial Williamsburg. We also spent time in the pools, and rec center on the resort. We had a wonderful time and we WILL be recommending this resort to all of our family and friends. Thank you Bill, for helping my family enjoy an affordable vacation in a beautiful place!

My stay at this resort was amazing! Clean, elegant, SO SPACIOUS, and what a "bang-for-your-buck"! My family was so impressed with the location and unit itself. EVEN THE TEENAGERS LOVED IT ... We didn't even have time to visit the pools on-site but still were able to get some water time in our fantastic en suite jacuzzi. Our first night there, we got in around 11:30 p.m. and wanted to take a dip after a long trip in the car. To our surprise, the water level seemed a bit low, so we contacted resort maintenance about it: SOMEONE WAS IN OUR UNIT WITHIN 5 MINUTES! At almost midnight? Incredible service and friendly faces. Not to mention, Bill ... we actually had a few reservation problems and I was constantly throwing more questions and problems at Mr. Gregory over email. He was SO nice and helpful with it all and communicated fast and efficiently. Payment was as simple as can be. Don't stay ANYWHERE ELSE in Williamsburg. This is the place to be (10 mins from Colonial W, Busch Gardens and Water Country USA) and Bill is the person who makes it happen!
Owner response:Now that would put a smile on anybodies face.

Greatly enjoyed our stay at Powhatan! We've already started recommending it to many friends! The unit was immaculate and beautiful, very spacious and bright and sunny. It backs onto green trees, with bunnies in the "backyard". We were disappointed that it was far too hot to use the patio! Bill was VERY prompt at answering all emails, and even did some research to answer our questions. It was so nice to have a cool, comfortable place to come back to during the heat-wave afternoons, with separate "space" for everyone to nap or play or watch TV. If you are looking for a good family place to eat, Sal's by Victor (Italian/pizza) has great food at fantastic prices, they deliver as well, and we WISH we had discovered it earlier in the week! The only thing we recommend is to NOT go to the Diamond timeshare presentation unless you are prepared to invest in a timeshare yourself, we found it a hard-sell 3-hours! It's not worth the discount on the tickets :(
Owner response:Amen!!! Keep on renting and let me be the hard a.... during the presentations.

We had an excellent time at The Powhatan Resort, thanks to Bill for coordinating our stay as the dates we wanted were Monday to Saturday. The resort was extremely nice, well maintained and had many activities for the kids. We rented a car and were just a few miles from Busch Gardens, Water Country and Colonial Williamsburg which allowed us to stay at each location as long as possible without a long ride home at the end of the day! I would recommend this to anyone, both adults and children alike!
Owner response:Thanks for the positve review and glad your family enjoyed their vacation.

We had a wondeful time at this clean, friendly, well-equipped resort. The condo was newly rehabbed and extremely clean. The staff was responsive and helpful. Bill was very easy to work with and responded to emails within a day. Even 2 days before the trip still working hard to get us the exact unit we wanted (long after our money was paid!) All in all it was a great vacation and a perfect rental experience! Not one complaint! Thanks Bill!

We visited Powhatan Resort and found the resort amazing. The resort is huge and has a great place to walk and ride bikes. The unit we stayed in was very accommodating in every way possible. We loved being able to prepare our meals, relax in the hot tub and watch our own DVDs we had taken along. We kayaked two days in nearby locations and saw lots of wildlife. The parking space for our unit was right in front of the unit and that was important to us with our kayaks loaded on top of our car. Bill was wonderful to work with and loves sharing his timeshare with others. He answers questions and emails very promptly. We can't wait to return to VA. Thank you Bill!!!!
Owner response:Besides the pools I like the walks in the peaceful setting at Powhatan.

The owner was very helpful and easy to work with, and the location was perfect for everything we wanted to do, including Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. Just couldn't have asked for a better deal, or friendlier staff! We ended up staying an extra week since it was so perfect, and quiet, and peaceful.. wish we could have stayed longer! We just came back from a weekend at the resort! It was wonderful. The unit was clean and spacious. The kids loved the hot tub and we loved being able to make very meal instead of going out to eat. We spent every evening at the indoor pool ( which was pretty crowded but not a deal breaker) and even borrowed some games to play and a basketball for my son. Very close to Jamestown and Williamsburg. It was a little cold but we still had a fun time. Bill was so easy to deal with and put up with my endless questions like a Champ! He even was able to find my in-laws a unit at the last minute right near ours! It worked out great! I have already told tons of friends that this is the ONLY place to stay when visiting Williamsburg. You can't beat the price or comfort! Bill is the only person I will deal with when planning my next Williamsburg trip! I just wish he had units everywhere so I could use him every time I go on vacation :)

My husband and I stayed here on two separate occasions in February and loved it both times! The units were clean, spacious and beautifully decorated and so affordable! We especially enjoyed the canadian geese and swan on the property and the beautiful weeping willow trees. The grounds are well maintained and the front desk staff friendly and helpful. Ask for a unit with a lake or wooded view-much nicer! We visited Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown while there. Breakfast at Five Forks cafe was great as was our dessert stop at the Carrot Tree. Our favorite place was Yorktown-eat at the Yorktown Pub-lots of bikers and classic cars there on a Sunday afternoon. We also visited the Jamestown Settlement and found it very enjoyable and well worth the money. Bill was a pleasure to work with and we hope to be back very soon. Thanks so much for a great visit to Williamsburg!

Myself and a good friend getaway every year for a golf vacation. We found Bill and he was the best to deal with and set us up with an unbelievable condo at an unbelievable price. We arrived Feb 17th much earlier then check in time and the resort front desk was great to get us situated right away. We played golf everyday from Feb 17th through Feb 21st and the weather was picture perfect. Normally we travel to Myrtle Beach, but we may have our new destination. Every course was great (resort quality) and gave us crazy low greens fees ($30 - $40) - some just because we stayed at Powhatan (which I now know how to say correctly!). We spent our nights in Williamsburg and the locals welcomed us and always were eager to give us their favorite spots. I will be bringing back my family and friends and now I have Bill who is my new Williamsburg contact. Thanks Bill !!!

We stayed here, in Williamsburg in Sept for a week. It was a wonderful experience! The condo was super nice. The facilities such as the pool and recreation center were great, too. My kids loved the putt-putt and we played most nights. In fact, the resort was so nice, the kids didn't really want to go to all the historical stuff every day! We did it anyway, but made plenty of time for swimming, putt-putt and even the ghost tour at Powhatan Plantation. We had a wonderful experience with the owner, too. He was easy to work with, answered all of our questions well and helped make this one of our best vacations ever. I recommend working with him! I would recommend this resort and this owner to anyone I know. There were lots of things for kids and adults at the resort and in and near Williamsburg. We have 4 kids ages 15, 11, 8 and 1. The playground at the resort was great for the younger two. Everyone enjoyed the pools, the older two enjoyed the bike rentals. The resort is very near a great city park, shopping, and dining. It's close to Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. Great location! Everything about the trip was good! Thank you for letting us rent from you!

We were looking for a fun affordable vacation for our large family of young kids. We were nervous because the price was so good that the place wouldn't be nice, but we were pleasantly surprised when we pulled up. The club house has great amenities, pools, free videos to borrow, playgrounds etc.. The actual condo was really pretty and spacious. The kitchen made for convenient breakfast with plenty of room to eat. The whirlpool was fun, as was the sauna. Three TV's meant no fighting during our downtime. The condo was well located to all of the great sights in the area. Every day we got the kids ready, very easy in a lot of space with a washer dryer, had a quick breakfast and got out to enjoy all of the fun places. Returning home at 7 or 8 each night, it was great to have a beautiful, clean condo to return to, kids watched TV while we put together a quick meal in the kitchen. Loved it and would recommend this place to families of any age!

We rented a Greensprings Condo from Bill at the beginning of August! It was fantastic. It was very spacious and the beds were very comfortable! Everything was clean and well maintained. Bill was very helpful and answered all my questions. Honestly, I was hesitant to send him a personal check but everything went very smoothly and we had a fantastic stay! THANKS SO MUCH BILL! We had a great time at a very reasonable cost!

My family enjoyed the condo so much! Beautifully decorated and everything we needed. Beds were extremely comfortable (even the pull-out sofa)! The grounds are magnificent. Lots of good picture spots. Would definitely stay here again.

Our Williamsburg vacation was excellent! The condo was exactly as described -- very clean and spacious -- exactly what we were looking for. Bill Gregory was great to work with in booking and arranging our stay. We will definitely look to him for other vacation accommodations!

Bill, thank you, thank you, thank you!!! My children and I just returned from our mini vacation today, and they couldn't stop asking "When are we going back again." They absolutely loved it, and I have you to thank for helping me, as a single Mom, make this magnificient weekend all possible. The only thing they missed was using the hot tub since that was in the unit below and not ours. I will definately be contacting you again about renting from you again.
Owner response:Pleas come back real soon.

Bill was a great owner to work with! He was honest and communicated well. We were trying to arrange a last minute trip to Williamsburg and though this particular property was no longer available, he was able to arrange for us to stay at a nearby property and handled all the details. I would not hesitate to work with him again. We had an awesome trip! We visited Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, Busch Gardens, and Water Country USA. Thanks again, Bill!
Owner response:J & B, I was glad to assist and look forward to helping you in the future. Bill

I would stay at this resort anytime. It's clean, it's comfortable, the staff are very nice, and it's close to everything you would like to do. There were activities at the pool during the week.

We had the best vacation. The condo was perfect. We took our 4 kids and they enjoyed hanging out in the hottub and going to the pool. We went to Virginia Beach one day and caught 150 crabs. We were able to have family over to eat and there was plenty of room. The condo was very clean and you had everything that you needed there as if you were at home. I felt so organized being there. Especially having the washer/dryer. It was like home away from home. We wouldnt mind coming back and staying here again. The owner is awesome to work with and we didnt have any problems. Thanks again.. I will keep you in mind for future vacations !!!!
Owner response:Great having you. NEXT TIME INVITE ME! I love crabs.

We took four teenagers to Powhatan for our oldest daughter's graduation. The two bedroom was plenty of space for the six of us. We were on the bottom floor and had a hot tub in our unit. The resort was great - clean, lots of amenities, etc. The kitchen was well-equipped for our meal needs. We ate quick meals (spaghetti, chicken strips for supper, sandwiches for lunch, cereal and pop tarts for breakfast). The area is a great place to vacation. We spent two days at Busch Gardens and one day each at Water Country USA and Colonial Williamsburg. Take the Pirates Amongst tour at CW if you get the chance. The resort is about 20 minutes from BG and WCUSA and about 15 minutes from CW Visitor's Center. The owner was FANTASTIC. He worked with us to get us the accommodations that we needed. He was responsive to my emails when I had questions. I will DEFINITELY use him again in my vacation planning. Thanks for a memorable experience.
Owner response:WOW! I want to go next time. I'll offer a discount if you take me along. Bill

We found the condo to be exactly as described/pictured. It was very nice and the price made it an exceptionally great deal. Close to Jamestown, Yorktown, Colonial Williamsburg, and Busch Gardens...wonderful time and very comfortable. Bill was fabulous to work with setting up the reservation and arranging payment. We would love to rent from him again! Thank you so much!

This is a nice resort with great amenities in a great location being central to most things in Williamsburg. Seems the rooms have been recently remodeled and the pillows and bedding were especially comfortable. The resort grounds are well groomed making it very enjoyable to take early morning or evening strolls around the property. Mr. Gregory is great to work with. He responded quickly to all of my questions and made certain that we were happy with our vacation.
Owner response: It was a pleasure working with such a polite individual. Glad your family enjoyed their stay and I look forward to having you return. Bill
