There is plenty of room to spread out in this beautifully decorated handicap accessible custom-built home that has it all - an elevator, private dock with deep water access to the Intracoastal Waterway, and sunsets made to order. It's a short walk (less than 5 minutes) to the beach, ice cream parlor, arcades, mini-golf, restaurants and museum.
The two-story great room with gas fireplace, the fully equipped gourmet kitchen, separate dining room, and second-floor master bedroom all look out over the ICW and canal. Each bedroom has its own attached, private bathroom. A separate den, with queen-size pullout couch, provides an additional place to relax, or can be used as a fifth bedroom. Wireless internet access is available throughout
the house.
Our home was built with accessibility in mind. The interior elevator serves all floors. The Green bedroom is attached to bathroom w/ ADA compliant fixtures. All doorways throughout house are 36" wide. The only thresholds are exterior down to decks. (We are happy to provide ramps for those that need them.)
Fish from the benches of the private dock with fish cleaning station. Rinse the sand from your toes in the large & private outdoor shower and then sit out on one of the decks or the screened porch and take in the awe-inspiring views of the sun setting over the Waterway.
We built the house that we would want to rent - and are delighted to share it with other families.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS HOUSE IS AVAILABLE AS A FAMILY RENTAL ONLY AND THE PERSON SIGNING THE CONTRACT MUST BE AT LEAST 30 YEARS YOUNG.

- The beach, ICE CREAM PARLOR, the Museum of Coastal Carolina (which is also the site of free outdoor concerts in the summer) and the OIB Community Center which runs activities for the kids on the beach are all less than five minutes away (by foot). Myrtle Beach is only 30 miles to the south, and historic Wilmington is 40 miles to the north.

Our entire family loved our vacation at Ocean Isle Beach. We rented kayaks and enjoyed the private dock and beautiful sunroom the most. The beach, putt putt, ice-cream shop and a bit of shopping were within walking distance. The home was very clean and comfortable with beautiful furnishings. We would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a quality vacation.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with young children, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

This is a terrific house to enjoy a beach vacation with a large group. Everyone gets a bedroom and bath and we comfortably housed 12 family members including a toddler and an 85 year old with mobility needs. The elevator was a welcome necessity. The kitchen and grilling areas are very well equipped and the entire house is designed with lovely artistic and interesting architectural details. Relaxing and observing the diving pelicans and busy purple martins from the the large screened porch is a pleasure. But there is so much to do..kayaking the salt marsh from the dock, jumping the ocean surf, walking the firm beach, biking, eating homemade ice cream from The Creamery, playing miniature golf, learning about endangered sea turtles and the island's nesting program at the museum. And of it is within walking distance! We had a fine meal at The Isle Restaurant just a short drive away. Lowes for groceries is just over the Causeway Bridge. Shopping for local art is easy and fun at the coop in Calabash just down the road. This cottage is a real gem.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers.
