Clean home with great location

We were worried about the size of our group (10 people) in this home, but it was awesome! It was a little tricky with only 2 bathrooms, but we worked it out. We walked to Disneyland all 4 days, about 20 minutes one way, with our whole family (kids aged 8, 10 and 12). There are many stores in close proximity, and the people in the community were very friendly. The property is very homey, with almost anything you could imagine: kitchen supplies, tons of toys, plenty of blankets and towels. The deck area was our favorite space with a lovely pool, and BBQ. The owner of the rental was also incredibly available. Before our trip we exchanged several very helpful emails that really helped us to feel more ready to enjoy the space and the community around us, including many directions to shopping areas and restaurants close by. We have been home for just over a week and we have already recommended this property to several friends. This vacation was 4 years in the making, and it was better than we even imagined.

Due to a scheduling error, we had a week to scramble for a place for 3 families for a pre-planned 5 day Disneyland trip. We ran into a shady condo rental on VRBO and are so glad we found Joy! Joy immediately responded to our requests and bent over backwards to accomodate all our needs, including early check in and even gave us a last minute discount. For less than the price of 1 hotel room at Paradise Pier, we got 3 BR's, a ton of space, and a full kitchen! There's plenty of beds and the condo can sleep up to 16 but I say 3BR since the 4th "bedroom" is open to the hallway where the other BR's and bathrooms are. Since we only had 3 families, it was fine, but may be something to consider for larger groups. The photos are accurate, the condo was clean, everything worked, and it's a 1.6 mile walk or 7-10 minute drive to Disneyland's entrance. It's a comfortable convenient location, especially if you want a home base to visit Southern CA from. Depending on the heartiness of your group, it's subjective if Disneyland is within a "comfortable" walking distance. Since we had a couple 3 year olds who still needed to nap, it was too far of a walk for us to go back and forth multiple times/day. Although you're not 'supposed' to, we parked at Downtown Disney's parking lot for the free 3 hours and just paid the additional $2 per 20 minutes when we'd go over. But since we came back to the condo for lunch/nap and dinner, it cost us less than parking at Disneyland's $15/day parking lot which was farther and you can't drive in/out. We had a great time and Joy could not have been more helpful - thanks for being so generous with your time and energy!

I live in Orange County and was hosting a family reunion. I needed locatons for relatives to stay during their visit with us. Joy was wonderful to work with. We ended up renting both her house and condo. Both are great places! The condo is very spacious! The backyard at the house is amazing. Both were clean and well equipped. I recommend either location!

We had 21 people in our group and rented Joy's house and condo. It was great to have everyone so close together, without being SO CLOSE in a hotel. Both kitchens were fully equipped and the ability to cook meals at home saved us a ton on money during our trip. Clean, comfortable and close to everything. We're already planning our next trip back and will stay here again. Thanks for everything!

This house had everything we needed or wanted. Joy was able to provide a playpen, stroller and highchair for us, which doesn't always happen when we use vacation rentals. The house was very clean. I was comfortable letting my toddler crawl on the floor. I will recommend this house to everyone I know.

Decided to take the grandkids to Disneyland in May 2010 and found this house. It was exactly what we wanted. The owner, Joy was very helpful and patient with us. The house is well kept and the yard and pool are great! Everything was clean and we had everything we needed. We had a hard time getting the kids out of the pool at night to go to bed! Great place, great location, great trip! Thanks Joy!

While this rental is located just a few miles from Disneyland with stores/restaurants nearby and beautiful roses in the garden...we found no other positives. We were looking forward to a place with a pool for our kids to swim in - we specifically discussed this with Joy in advance of coming. Joy assured us that the solar cover would make the pool comfortably warm. When we arrived there was no solar cover - we called Joy and she simply informed us that the cover had been ripped the week previous and was on order. No sorry, no acknowledgment of fault. As the kids tried to ease into the very cold pool, we checked out the grill/kitchen to see what we would make for dinner. The interior of the grill was literally in pieces and the outside covered in cobwebs and lawn debris...unusable. Again, Joy made no apologies but simply said it was working fine a week ago and that perhaps a strong wind had knocked it over and upturned the interior. She said we could use the indoor grill (a Jenn-Air relic that was covered in years of grease! No thanks.). The house itself is okay and comfortable space wise...it just lacks any real amenities. We had wrongly assumed there would be a washer and dryer - our mistake, but what weekly rental doesn't offer that? There is no Wi-Fi, a very old television with grainy reception along with a VHS "library" including a video about how to choose the right pet (odd). The few wine glasses we could find had about 10 year's worth of dust on them as did much of the cookware available in the kitchen. Cleanliness wise I would rate it as just passable. The windows were so grimy that I wonder if they have ever been washed. The floor mats in the kitchen and near the slider leading out to the pool area were truly filthy and must never have been cleaned - we promptly removed them and put them in the to be cleaned pile. Before filling the fridge with our food we bought, we had to clean several shelves of sticky red goo and throw away a left behind, opened gallon of milk. Joy's response: The last renters had a birthday party so that must have been from them. No apologies or recognition of fault. Bottom line, there is no value in renting this place. Compared to other rental properties costing the same it offers absolutely nothing special. When we spoke to Joy about issues we had with the house (on the day we arrived) she wasn't apologetic, made no offer to rectify any of the problems and basically said, Oh well. Too bad.

What an awesome place! The condo has everything we needed. The location is perfect! There's a Kmart, CVS, Walgreen's and grocery store all right across the street. There's also at least 8 fast food places in the same shopping area! Disneyland is so close that we walked back to the condo for both lunch and dinner each day to save some money! There's even a park with playgrounds for the kids to play in just down the street. Joy was really helpful and makes everything so easy! I HIGHLY recommend this rental! Joy and her condo are GREAT!

Our experience was great, Joy give us more than we expect, the property is beautiful, in order and clean, If you travel with your family is a great choose, disney is at 2 blocks, the market is in front, you have everything walking. we went 5 days to disney and wasn't enough, one day to universal studios and wasn't enough, we need to come back and be sure we will come back to this property. thanks for all your attentions, see you next year. Wow excellent, excellent, excellent.

My family stayed in this condo, including myself, my husband, 2 yr old daughter and my husband's family. There was more than enough room and it was so nice having somewhere to bring my daughter home to nap. Great location and reasonably priced.

We have stayed at this place during 2007 Memorial day weekend. The place was good and everything was fine. It is less than 2 miles from the Disneyland main entrance. Shops were very close. You can get a partial view of fire works from some bedrooms.

What a great place to stay, we highly recommend it. As a matter of fact, I have already recommended it to several of my friends. The condo was clean, roomy, with all of the essentials a family needs to be comfortable. Joy went beyond expectations to meet our needs. She responded immediately when we had one minor concern. If you are considering this condo for your family vacation, go for it. You won't be disappointed.

Joy, What an incredible experience! Your place has everything anyone could ever need, we even had Thanksgiving dinner there! Everything was clean, well organized, comfortable, convenient, and so close to Disneyland!! We watched the Disneyland fireworks from the upper balcony every night we weren't there. Our whole family agreed-everything was perfect! Thank-you for providing us with a place to make memories we will cherish forever! Denise
