Swan Shores Lodge is a one of a kind square log home with 200 feet of privacy on pristine Swan Lake. This square log home was architecturally designed to take advantage of the lake and mountain views. The home his multi-levels with spectacular lake views from every room. 6 bedrooms 4.5 baths and 6500 sq feet make this home the perfect gathering place for a family reunion or vacation. Bring your boat; this home even has a boat dock and even it's own boat ramp!

Swan Shores Lodge has over one acre of privacy in a park-like setting and is sheltered by cedar trees. Walk through the front door of this impeccably maintained home with open great room floor plan, which is ideal for entertaining. This home has been designer decorated with a nautical theme throughout. This is true luxury vacation home that is considered to be one of the finest homes in the Flathead Valley. The master bedroom is located on the main floor and features a jacuzzi tub in the master bath a second guest bedroom and full bath is also located on the main level.

Second floor guest bedrooms are on separate ends which provide for great privacy. The fifth bedroom is totally private located over the garage with full view of the lake and has a full size private bathroom. The guest quarters set up is ideal for those who prefer a bit of privacy. The sixth bedroom is on the lower level of the house and has a unique boat trunde bed that opens up as two twin beds. Also on the lower level is a large family room with pool table and private office for those that need keep in touch and a private theater room with 10 recliner seats.

Swan Shores Lodge offers magnificent water and mountain views, and is decorated with beautiful upscale nautical-style furnishings with designer touches, and wood pine floors throughout. This home has been completely remodeled with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen.

RENTAL POLICIES:
*Rate Information: Our rates are based on the total number of bedrooms required during the entire stay. With each bedroom considered to be double occupancy. We only rent to one party at a time and close off the bedrooms that are not ordered the rest of the home is open for full use. Due to our unique rent structure we do not allow guests to bring sleeping bags or air mattresses to sleep on.

*Rental Application Fee: $35.00 This is a one-time fee that is only charged to guests that have not stayed with us before. We require that new renters provide us with a copy for the Driver's License or Passport to insure that the person that is named on the rental agreement is really who they claim to be. This is also to insure that the renter meets our minimum age requirement.

*Reservation Deposits & Changes: A 20% deposit is required at time of booking, the balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. For bookings > 12 months in advance the deposit is 25% and multiple weeks is 50% at time of booking and the balance due 60 days prior to arrival.

* Refundable Security Deposit: $1000.00

*Sorry No Weddings, Family Reunions or Special Occasion Parties to be held on the premises. Maximum occupancy is 12 overnight guests and a maximum of 2 day guest visitors for a total of 14 people on the premises at all times.

*Accidental Damage Insurance: To rent our home we require that a basic policy be purchased which costs $45.00 and will cover up to $1,500.00 in damage protection. The policy covers things like carpet spills, furniture tears, broken lamps.

Why the Owner Chose Swan Lake

We choose Montana because of its close proximity to the State of Washington and Canada. We started in Whitefish and narrowed our search to the Flathead Valley as we were looking for a lakefront home. We settled on Swan Lake because it was less populated and the views of the Swan Mountains. Swan Shores Lodge was really an ugly duckling the bedrooms were painted shocking pink and baby blue. We were initially not wild about the house because most log homes are stained in a rustic brown whereas this one was stained in a dove gray. It needed some serious updating but the lakefront location and views were just magnificent. Fortunately, we had some vision and could see the potential with some updating and interior design touches. I decided to design around the dove grey stain, so instead of following a traditional rustic I went with a nautical theme. The end result is we ended up with a totally unique lakefront vacation home that is not like anything else you will find in the State of Montana.

Owner's Map of Swan Lake

After spending 25 years in high tech procurement as a start-up company expert and entrepreneur I left that part of my life behind to become the Vacation Lady. In the early 1980’s I was having to make frequent trips to the Far East and experienced High tea at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. It was during this trip that the inspiration and entrepreneurial vision came to open Tea Salons in the US. In 1988, I founded a new specialty retail tea business. Created the concept, interior design elements and business plan model from a one-store operation to over 16 US franchised operations and two International locations in less than four years which placed us number 35 of the 100 fastest growing privately held companies in Silicon Valley in 1995. After 10 years in the tea business and spending stints in high tech start-ups I was ready for a new challenge. Since my husband and I enjoyed traveling and dabbling in real estate and nearing retirement age it seemed like the perfect fit. In 1996 we founded Vacation Holdings, purchased our first vacation home and set off to build a luxury vacation rental business using our properties as vacation rentals. It was such a natural progression as I could use my skills in purchasing, interior design and use the same disciplines required in franchising such as scheduling, creating instruction manuals for guests and tracking linen, towels and kitchen inventory. Basically, I was back in the Franchise business only this time we were creating turnkey vacation rentals instead of retail store fronts. My lessons learned from the service industry are applied every day in customer service and satisfaction. We are now up to 9 properties in various areas of the US and Virgin Island and I can say that this is the best time of my life as there is nothing more satisfying than helping to make a Dream Vacation come true.
