Once inside the gated property you are surrounded by lush gardens, tropical pools, and white sand beaches that stretch for miles. Guests at Edgewater enjoy two huge, freshwater swimming pools (one heated in winter), toddler wading pool, adult hot tub, Tiki bar*, professional putting green, shuffleboard, basketball goal, fitness center, fitness classes, gas BBQ grills, and covered parking. Edgewater has over 420 feet of private beach where, as our guest, you will be provided with two complimentary chairs and an umbrella* (about a $25.00 value per day for FREE) for the duration of your stay.

This beautiful, two bedroom, two bath, 1,215 square foot sixth floor unit is platinum rated and was professionally redecorated in the fall of 2008. Relax in this comfortable, air conditioned, well-appointed condo that includes numerous extras throughout.
Unit 601 amenities include:
Balcony seating (new furniture purchased in 2010) includes table and chairs, chaise lounge, serving cart, and high-seat chairs for breathtaking, unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico. New sliding glass doors were installed in November, 2008, in both the living room and the master bedroom and provide easy access to the balcony.
Kitchen has custom cabinets, Corian countertops, and porcelain tile floor. Cabinets are well-stocked with flatware, dishes, cooking pans, glassware (including extra non-breakable glassware that can be taken to pool deck area), shrimp pot, and large serving trays. All new stainless steel appliances updated in 2008 including refrigerator with ice maker and filtered water, microwave oven, electric range with self-clean oven, and ultra quiet dishwasher. Laundry includes full-size washer and dryer.
Living area includes sofa (pull-out queen size bed) and loveseat, over-stuffed chair with ottoman, and entertainment center featuring 42" HD LCD TV w/Dolby Digital Stereo/DVD/VCR and an HD box with DVR capability and complimentary SHOWTIME, bookshelf stereo with carousel-CD changer, and cassette tape player. All living room and dining room furniture is solid hardwoods with coastal finishes. Floor to ceiling tempered glass sliding door opens to your private deck with full view of the sparkling blue/green water and crystal white sand, known as the Emerald Coast.
Computer access via high-speed wi-fi wireless connection free to our guests with wi-fi enabled devices.
Each spacious bedroom features plush carpeting, all hardwood furniture with coastal finishes, sitting area, ceiling fan, guest closet, full length mirror, two night stands, flat panel HD LCD TV/DVD with Dolby Digital Stereo, clock radio, and telephone. The master bedroom includes full gulf view, king size bed (NEW mattress in 2011), triple dresser, guest safe and answering machine with a 32" HD LCD TV/DVD with an HD box and DVR capability along with complimentary SHOWTIME. The guest bedroom includes shoreline view, queen size bed (NEW mattress in 2008), double dresser, bachelor's chest, and a 26" HD LCD TV/DVD.
Bathrooms have custom cabinets, marble countertops, deep soaker tubs, glass enclosures, and wall mount hair dryers. The master bath includes his/her vanities, and even a telephone!
Spectacular gulf views from the living room, dining room, kitchen, and master bedroom.
Area activities include deep-sea fishing, championship golf and tennis, hiking, biking, swimming, snorkeling or diving, boating, jet skiing, parasailing, and wind surfing. A wide range of shopping and dining is nearby and is sure to please even the most discriminating tastes. As owners with 20 years experience in the Destin area, we know the area and can help you enjoy the activities that are of interest to you. For our guests, we have equipped the condo with a collection of information on area activities, restaurant menus, area facts, and owner's recommendations.
Edgewater policy prohibits rentals to anyone under the age of 25. Pets are not permitted.
My other units: Do not look for other units. This is our only unit, which we enjoy staying in throughout the year. We have decorated and accessorized it based on guest comfort, not cheap "rental grade" options. You will find that we are continuously updating our property to keep it fresh and inviting for ourselves and our welcome guests. Many of our guests are repeat visitors, coming back year after year.

Wonderful Vacation!!!

Although this review comes a couple months after our stay, our family still talks about the wonderful time we had in Destin this year. The condo is perfect and has everything one could possibly need! We've stayed in many rental condos throughout FL over the years and this was, by far, our favorite. The unit was spotless when we arrived and Connie has done a wonderful job putting her personal touches on the unit. My 6 year old daughter and 8 year old son had a blast. We went to the beach everyday, talked each of them into taking naps in the afternoon (ha), went out for dinner in the evenings, and finished things off by hunting for crabs in the evening. Some of the the restaurants we enjoyed dining at were McGuire's (great steak), the original Dewey Destin's (great grilled shrimp, per Connie's recommendation), and Rum Runners at Baytowne Wharf. Our last evening consisted of eating on the patio with takeout pizza from Jordano's. That was my favorite dinner of all! We really enjoyed going to Baytowne Wharf as well as SeaSide. We also took the kids miniature golfing twice. God willing, we hope to be back next year to enjoy another great family vacation!!!

Condo was very nice and the view from the balcony was awesome. The beach chairs and umbrella provided by the service were very convenient. Would love to come back in the coming years either in May or late September/early October.

I can not say enough about our vacation and the condo! The customer service and kindness of the owners alone is worth staying in their unit.. they went above and beyond to make sure our vacation was great. The condo was gorgeous and felt like a second home. There were no details left out..from the nice dishes, to wine and bottle openers, to the electric skillet.. the extra beach chairs, etc.. The grounds of were gorgeous.. the pools fantastic and the beach was absolutely beautiful. Plus.. the location was so convenient to restaurants and shopping. I also have to add that the large patio with such nice furniture made my mornings heavenly. I got up every morning and sat on the patio and read my Bible while watching the dolphins. It was awesome and so relaxing. We will definately be returning to this condo and property for another great family vacation.

For those looking for a sanctuary away from it all.......look no further! The beach and water are beautiful but pale in comparison to the home away from home that Connie and her family provide. We are repeat visitors and will be returning again next year. She literally has thought of everything that you could possibly need right down to a coozie to use for your canned drinks! Old Bay Steamer and AJ's has been our best seafood ever and Jordano's Pizza is fantastic! Perfect for relaxing and vegging out and watching a movie after a beautiful day in the sand and sun! Also, you can walk to the grocery store, the dollar store, and and ice cream shop because they're ACROSS THE STREET! Talk about location!!!! Staying in this condo is the easiest decision for the entire vacation. There's just no question for us where we will stay!

This by far has been my best time in Florida. Compared to Sanibel, Sarasota etc. Great beaches, clean water, everything you would need in a condo the Albrights have supplied. I now understand all the great reviews, well worth the vacation. Great variety of places to eat, Harry T's, Deweys, Bonefish, Stinkys, Another Broken Egg Cafe, Mcguires Pub. Plenty of shopping, trafffic was good and loved the gated area. The fitness center was A+.

Thank you so much for keeping such a well stocked condo. We knew we we were in for a treat, because of all the personal attention that we received from Connie, the owner of the condo. We have come to Destin for over 8 years, and this was our first stay in an upgraded condo with new upgraded appliances and utensils. The details were awesome. LIghtbulbs in the closet, picnic basket, beach chairs, and shrimp pot were just some of the treats that we used. The best night of our vacation was our last night when we just sat on balcony. It was a nice surprise when at 9pm when enjoyed the fireworks from Sandestin right from our condo. This was great because our toddler son loves to watch, but not so much the boom. We had a spectacular view that most may even not realize to take advantage of! Enjoy!

This was a great condo. Has a great view, everything you could think of in the kitchen from an ice bucket to corn holders!! We just got back after spending a wonderful week there from May 8-15. The balcony is super big with a fantastic view of the ocean and close enough to hear it as well. This condo will always be special to me as it was the place that my partner and I got committed to each other on the patio. Thanks for having such a special and well-decorated place to remember and hopefully come back to and also for the phone call the next day to make sure everything was ok.

This condo was the perfect vacation for my husband and myself along with another couple. It was our first trip to Destin, and it was perfectly located. The view was gorgeous and Connie the owner left many ideas for us in a binder along with an email with helpful ideas. Beautifully decorated and clean, it was hard to leave. It was easy to park our car and the beach area was not crowded. The building is well built as the walls were soundproof and we really couldn't hear any other condos. I'd definitely stay here again.

We just got back from a week is Destin. best vacation ever! The Condo was perfect! Great view, had everything we needed and more in the kitchen etc. The extras were great. the word document we got prior to arrival from the owners was very helpful-- as was the huge binder in the condo. We went with 4 other families, and we definately had the nicest condo! Having the two beach chairs was a nice bonus. We went at a very busy time, but it was never too crowded. We always had chairs at the pool and was able to use the grills at any time. I was amazed at how quite it was in the evening. It was never loud late at night, we were able to keep the patio doors open all night. The Patio had a nice table, chairs and a cart. We had all my daughters friends over for dinner and they loved it! It was great sitting out there every evening. I highly recommend Edgewater but especially this Condo-- you will not be disappointed! We can't wait to go back!
