Celebrating five great years of vacation rentals in Birch Bay!

Thank you very much to all of those who have rented from us.

The Cozy Conch is a beautifully remodelled and very comfortable cottage in sunny Birch Bay, a mere 15 minutes from the Canada-USA border.

Enjoy the privacy of being in a detached cottage. We have equipped the cottage as we would want it to be if we were renting.

PERFECT FOR A TWO COUPLE OR FAMILY GETAWAY, THE COTTAGE HAS TWO BEDROOMS AND TWO FULL BATHROOMS.

The Master bedroom has a QUEEN bed, a full en-suite bathroom and a DAY BED under the window for a nap or a quiet read, or as an extra bed for a child. The second bedroom has a QUEEN bed and has a full bathroom just outside it.

Our guests have appreciated having a second bathroom.

Each bed has high quality bedding for extra comfort.

On your quick three minute walk to the beach, pass by the Old Candy store or the Birch Bay Coffee House, grab a coffee or an ice cream, and enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Birch Bay sea shore, gathering shells and collecting memories.

Take your bikes along for the stay and bike and/or hike in nearby Birch Bay State Park, a five minute bike ride from the cottage.

If you are a golfer, SWING by any of the many scenic golf courses located within a short DRIVE.

Enjoy some fresh seafood at local restaurants, or bring it home to our fully equipped kitchen and enjoy a romantic dinner on our sun drenched deck.

Head north for the day to Vancouver, White Rock, or any of our neighbouring Canadian cities and towns, only 30 to 60 minutes' drive away.

Alternatively, head south for some great shopping at nearby Bellis Fair Mall in Bellingham. Or if you are feeling a little more adventurous, keep going south on the I-5 to the Outlets in Burlington or Tulalip. If you are feeling lucky, visit the Casino in Tulalip, right next to the Outlets, or the Skagit Casino on your way home.

If shopping is not your thing, visit beautiful La Connor or stop for coffee in Fairhaven. There is so much to explore within a one hour radius of Birch Bay. Be adventurous and carve your own path.

Please take a look at the guestbook/reviews below. The reviews which we have input have been taken exactly word for word from our guestbook at the cottage.

Why the Owner Chose Birch Bay

We love the relaxed atmosphere in Birch Bay. When we stay there it really does feel like we are a world away, even though we live less than a half an hour away. We vacation in Birch Bay every summer, and love the fact that the cottage is so close to the Old Candy Store and the beach. On the way to the beach we like to stop in and get an ice cream cone. Or on a morning walk it's great to pick up a coffee and and cinnamon bun and enjoy them in the sunshine.
The beach is great for walking on and our dog, Goldie, particularly enjoys it. We have had many family get togethers there, and also had friends join us.
Birch Bay is also perfectly located between Vancouver and Seattle, and with Bellingham, Fairhaven and La Connor not too far away there is plenty to do in the area.
It's a great spot for a summer vacation.

The Unique Benefits at this Cottage

The cottage is fully equipped, with a washer and dryer, satellite tv, and wireless high speed internet. It is very comfortable for a short stay or a longer, off season stay.

The deck is full of sun in the afternoon and evenings in the summer, and having a second bathroom is a big bonus for when we have friends or family join us.

We also have RV parking available, and another cottage is for rent right next to us, which is great for renting as well if you have a bigger party.

Really nice little place, excellent stay, good for dogs!

We spent a week in July at the Cozy Conch (4 adults, 4 large dogs), and it was very comfortable indeed. The owners were very responsive to questions or concerns, and I liked the fact that they took Paypal for payment. It's a short stroll to the beach, which is awesome for dog-walks at low tide, with more sand dollars than I've ever seen, and is excellent warm swimming for people and dogs at high tide. There's a hose for de-sanding dogs, and a great offleash field (BP land) a few minutes' drive away if you want a drier walk. The kitchen is well-equipped. There is no dining table, but the picnic table on the deck and a set of solid card tables filled that lack nicely. The yard isn't fenced, but we used tie-downs for the dogs, and the deck was perfect for them. The back bedroom mattress was maybe a little hard, according to our friends who were sleeping on it, but ours was very comfortable indeed. We slept like logs. Everything was spotless. Another set of friends rented the cottage across the way, and it was an excellent combination. We did our fire-pit time over there in the evenings, and cooked at Cozy Conch, which had a better kitchen. There's plenty of room for 6 to eat at CC on the deck. It was a lovely spot, and lived up to our hopes. We'll come back as soon as we can manage it!

The cottage was exactly what I needed. I didn't believe that it would be as stocked as you stated so I brought toilet paper, towels etc. Totally stocked cabin and all that I did need to bring were my clothes and food! Communication with you has been awsome and I will definitely come again! By the way, great neighbors!

Lovely cottage! Comfy and cozy - perfect. Super well equipped and we had a wonderful visit with our son at WWU and didn't have to eat out at all. Thanks so much!

We enjoyed our long Memorial Day weekend at your cottage with our daughter and son-in-law from Seattle. Our kayaking was the highlight of our stay.

What a great place. Quiet and peaceful, and with 3/5 of the "brain" we were almost able to complete a full thought.
