My family has enjoyed Birch Bay for several years. We have not stayed in a nicer spot there than the Cozy Conch. We enjoyed a nice, quiet Easter with two young boys and two young dogs, all of whom felt instantly at home in the cabin. The owners were prompt and very responsive. It was a very comfortable stay with a closed in deck for the dogs to sunbathe on and walking distance to nearly everything we wanted to do. The kitchen had everything we needed, beds were comfortable. The only challenge was no indoor table which was a little tricky with young kids, but the weather cooperated for dinners outside and the TV trays helped with breakfast inside. I can definitely see us staying there again.

We spent a week in July at the Cozy Conch (4 adults, 4 large dogs), and it was very comfortable indeed. The owners were very responsive to questions or concerns, and I liked the fact that they took Paypal for payment. It's a short stroll to the beach, which is awesome for dog-walks at low tide, with more sand dollars than I've ever seen, and is excellent warm swimming for people and dogs at high tide. There's a hose for de-sanding dogs, and a great offleash field (BP land) a few minutes' drive away if you want a drier walk. The kitchen is well-equipped. There is no dining table, but the picnic table on the deck and a set of solid card tables filled that lack nicely. The yard isn't fenced, but we used tie-downs for the dogs, and the deck was perfect for them. The back bedroom mattress was maybe a little hard, according to our friends who were sleeping on it, but ours was very comfortable indeed. We slept like logs. Everything was spotless. Another set of friends rented the cottage across the way, and it was an excellent combination. We did our fire-pit time over there in the evenings, and cooked at Cozy Conch, which had a better kitchen. There's plenty of room for 6 to eat at CC on the deck. It was a lovely spot, and lived up to our hopes. We'll come back as soon as we can manage it!

The cottage was exactly what I needed. I didn't believe that it would be as stocked as you stated so I brought toilet paper, towels etc. Totally stocked cabin and all that I did need to bring were my clothes and food! Communication with you has been awsome and I will definitely come again! By the way, great neighbors!

Lovely cottage! Comfy and cozy - perfect. Super well equipped and we had a wonderful visit with our son at WWU and didn't have to eat out at all. Thanks so much!

We enjoyed our long Memorial Day weekend at your cottage with our daughter and son-in-law from Seattle. Our kayaking was the highlight of our stay.

My wife and I can't say enough about the Cozy Conch, it a great, relaxing little spot for our weekend away and will now be our go-to spot for getting out of town and relaxing in comfort. Additionally, I don't think you could find a warmer, more cheerful owner with which to interact with. Thanks Darren for your hospitality! Can't wait to be back in the summer when the deck will get some great use. Our insiders tip is to make sure you stop off at the grocery store on your way into Birch Bay, but do it on a full stomach, my wife and I bought way more food than we could ever eat in a couple nights!

We spent a long winter weekend at the cottage -- four of us, two kids and two adults -- and loved it. The cottage is large enough for four, comfortably, very clean and has everything you need. It rained the whole time we were there in mid-February but with the little cozy fireplace, it was really cozy. All the amenities are updated...but best of all it is really clean. Oh and the beds are hard and comfortable. The owners are really accomodating and nice.

We stayed here from Nov. 21-28. We had an excellent time in the cottage in spite of the early winter/ snow here in the Pacific Northwest. This cottage must be an awesome beach house in the summer, but it's also a warm and cozy cabin in winter. It's very clean and it has newer appliances/ electronics than most of the places we stayed in before. It's the perfect location for going to and from British Columbia/USA since the border is just 5 miles away. The people in the neighborhood seem to be mostly retirees/ old people, so the area is very very safe. The owner, Darren, was also extremely helpful about anything that you might need on your stay. He's a great guy to deal with. We would definitely come back here the next time we visit Vancouver.

What a fantastic find in peaceful Birch Bay! The pictures and descriptions do not do the Cozy Conch justice. You have decorated and stocked perfectly for a care free stay by the beach. We enjoyed every minute. Deer Park, Washington

We found the cottage to be excellent for a long term stay. We have grandkids in area and was also good to entertain and take kids to the beach. It seems that the cottage works best in warm weather when you can eat outside. With the internet and cable TV we were definitely in touch.

Very close to the beach without being right on the main road. It's also in walking distance to a number of restaurants. Well kept - clean and tidy with everything you could want in a retreat.
