This beautiful, newly remodeled inside and out cottage is our summer home; available only from July 12, 2008 through August 2, 2008. As of January, 2008 we are receiving inquiries for the 2008 season.
Three bedrooms, two baths, central air conditioning and heat, and a magnificent deck overlooking Lake Michigan.
One-hundred-sixty-six (166) lakefront feet of sandy beach on Christmas Cove; you can walk the beach for miles, north and south. Four miles to Northport's marina, restaurants and Barb's Bakery.
Located on the Leelanau Peninsula, Michigan's "little finger," our cottage is on a private, paved road near apple and cherry orchards, fifteen minutes from Suttons Bay and Leland. It is a charming cottage on two lots, Lake Michigan on one side and fields and orchards on the other, and the only interruption to your quiet, lake experience is the sound of the Lake and the wind in the trees.
This is a great and beautiful location and a comfortable, well-maintained home. We prefer to rent in two-week packages, and will consider a substantial reduction in price for rentals longer than two weeks. Our care-taker lives around the corner, so no worries about maintenance.
If you are a "boomer" looking for someplace to settle, you would love our cottage as a launching pad for your explorations; ours however is not for sale, but you would get a feeling for the special qualities of this exquisitely beautiful segment of northern Michigan's coast.
Northport has a vibrant community of active adults, and has fine art and music offerings during the summer season. There are lots of places for kids; Northport has tennis courts, ball fields, and a skateboard park. For a slide show of the property, please see the link below. |
