I have been to quite a few places throughout the Caribbean, Central America, and Hawaii and I have never been more impressed with a house and location than the Villa Leone. The house is unique and amazing. The beach feels like its your very own and is perfect. I could sit in the "tree house" for hours at a time and just gaze out at the ocean. The sounds of the waves put us asleep every night. The staff was great and friendly. Any issue I had was addressed immediately. My teenage boys stated that, "it does not get any better than this." Cabarete is a great little town with everything you need. Lots of activities to see and do nearby. I can not say enough good things about this place. From the second you arrive, you realize that you never want to leave. Thanks Frank!

great spot for largish family

We came with 9 of us in 3 small family groups and had a fabulous time. The location is great, fairly easy to get into Cabarete, and Danny and staff are a gem. Small maintenance items had to be fixed, but the staff were very attentive. Simply beautiful location.

Hi Frank, Just recovering from trip return overload. Our stay was fantastic – the staff were really superlative, and Danny is just a gem – he really helped make our stay completely memorable. We really enjoyed the villa as well. The beds were comfortable, and we all slept well. The location is great, and the layout works very well for a big group. I also appreciated the background information you provided, and the systems set up to respond to our needs.

Truly a piece of paradise. A group of life long friends - 8 women celebrating our 65th birthdays just returned from our week stay at Villa Leone. The staff, property all wonderful. Thank you Frank for making a truly memorable trip.

Villa Leone - Lovely location for lounging and playing

We had a wonderful 9 day stay at Villa Leone. What a perfect vacation! This home offers a wonderful experience with its beautiful location on the beach to play in the waves, swim in your own pool and an outdoor area for getting your lounge on. You are just minutes away from the town of Cabarete where you can shop, enjoy restaurants right on the beach and windsurf or kiteboard, etc. The home is very well maintained with a staff to keep it tiptop during your stay. Our favorite part was indulging in the personal chef service. We thought we'd try it one day, but ended up hiring them for almost every meal. What a treat! There's plenty of day trips to make right from this location - snorkeling, boogie boarding, horseback riding, waterfall hikes, windsurfing/kiteboarding, zip lining and much more.

Hi Frank, We had a wonderful time! The staff was great, very responsive and helpful. Danny was great, always cheerful, always helpful and managed to get us to and from Santo Domingo in one piece! Wow - we were all a bit amazed at the drivers there and were really glad we didn't decide to rent a car. The house is beautiful, the beach as well. It was a nice benefit having Mercedes there too. It truly was a fantastic vacation, in large part, due to the staff. THANKS!! Liz

I can't recommend Villa Leone strongly enough! The house itself is a destination on a gorgeous beach with friendly and helpful staff! The beach is private as is the house, located in a small complex of only four homes. The house has everything you could want for a vacation, whether it's a family vacation, girls' or guys' trip, or even a romantic get away. Frank is helpful and efficient, but his staff is AWESOME! Danny (concierge and driver) is so friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The maid is efficient and makes herself nearly invisible! We were comfortable and relaxed the whole time. The area serves tourists from around the world, so even if you don't speak Spanish, you'll be fine. Take Frank's and Danny's recommendations for restaurants and bars, and you can't go wrong. We LOVED our stay here!

Dear Frank, I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at your beautiful, well-equipped Villa in Cabarete. Your staff was friendly, accommodating and made us feel right at home:) Carmen kept the house immaculate, we hardly even knew she was there! Jose was right on top of everything and checked in with us daily to make sure we had everything we needed.Last but not least, Danny was amazing. From the minute we landed he drove us through the hurricane and still managed to make us feel at ease.He was always available to take us whereever we wanted to go in town and had great suggestions for activities. It was so great to meet you all, hopefully next time we'll be able to spend some more time in what we all have described as "Paradise". Best, Erica, Carlo, Manny, Selah

VIlla Leone was amazing. We stayed for 6 days and had a wonderful experience. It was our first time visiting the domician and we were thrilled with our decision. Frank provided us with great information and reserving the property was extremely simple. All of our questions were answered and we were provided a great resource packet for 1st time visitors. Upon arriving, Jose, the property manager, welcomed us at the airport and helped us get groceries for the week. When we arrived at the house we were given a tour and instructions on how everything worked. All week we had complete privacy and felt safe. The maid is extremely polite and does over the top work. The area outback with the pool, grill, hot tub, hammock are amazing because the weather is beautiful. The beach is very private and exciting! The waves are very fun but kind of rough when it gets windy. Anytime we needed anything; Jose was there to help and answer our questions. Local tour groups will come visit and give you options for things to do; we chose horseback riding and ATV riding. Both were very affordable and fun! Everyone on the island is very friendly. I highly recommend hiring the services of the private chef. The food was outright amazing and he was very fun to talk to. The overnight security guards are also a nice touch. Frank keeps the property in amazing condition and has full time staff working on everything to keep it clean and relaxing. He also was very kind to check In with us during the week and after our stay. I highly recommend Villa Leone to anyone who is looking to get away and relax on a beautiful island with great ammenities. The privacy, staff, and wonderful home make it a great destination spot!

Great vacation

The property is magnificent. Beautiful sunrises, warm surf, soft sandy beach…not much more you can ask for. The pool and swim up bar are great, just make sure you bring a good bartender with you. Don’t worry about security, they have you well covered. Favorite spot was the tree house…great place to watch everything that goes on from the kite surfers to couples strolling by. It’s also not a bad place to enjoy an afternoon glass of wine either.

Wonderful Family Vacation

Villa Leone is a beautiful home that made our trip to the Dominican Republic truly one to remember. The welcome packet sent by the owner upon booking the home is comprehensive and clear. The villa staff was exceptional in all areas. The guards were polite and helpful, the home was kept clean and free of sand (which was no simple task) for our entire stay. The professional chef suggested by the ownerwas also spectacular. I would recommend this property to all without hesitation.

We just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks at Villa Leone. Our entire experience, from our first contact with the villa owner, Frank, was very positive. Frank and his team of staff are extremely professional and courteous and are committed to providing their guests with a relaxing, luxury vacation. The villa is very clean and the listing description is very accurate. The pool, hottub and beach are lovely. The kitchen was well-stocked and we enjoyed the cappuchino and slushy drink makers. The complimentary ride from the airport with Danny, a local taxi driver/tour guide was great. He was there waiting for us when we emerged from the airport with a typically huge, warm Dominican smile, and he became our indispensible guide for the rest of the two weeks. Danny is an incredible ambassador for his country. He was able to provide excellent recommendations for anything from excursions, to restaurants and nightlife. I highly recommend using his taxi/tour guide services. He is great fun to hang out with and is incredibly honest and fair. You will feel safe at all times with him and will appreciate his vast knowledge of all things local. The villa staff are all very warm and welcoming and are at your beck and call, with a pleasant smile, to provide you with whatever you may need while there. Jose, the property manager, will arrange for a masseuse to come to the villa for massages/pedicures. Her prices are so good - $30.00 for a one-hour massage and $25.00 for a 1&1/2 hour pedicure! Try the Spanish restaurant next door, Embocca. The food is excellent (a little pricier than many other places) and the atmosphere is nice. Our favorite restaurant was definitely Martini's, which is a ten minute walk up the beach. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week and their selection and prices are amazing. We had excellent meals every time. You can even leave your shoes at home and wear your bathing suit! Make sure to try happy hour between 4-6 pm for unbelievable cheap appies and drinks! Jose O'Shays Irish Pub is OK for typical pub food, but I enjoyed our meals elsewhere more. A must try for an authentic local meal is La Boca Grill, which is a small open-air restaurant a few minutes drive from the villa. Every type of outdoor adventure is available right on your doorstep. Don't miss 27 Waterfalls - it's a blast! You'll be planning your next trip back to Villa Leone before you even leave!

What an amazing place!!! We had a blast. People were wonderful, accommodations far exceeded our expectations, and there was plenty fun things to do around the villa. We had 6 kids under 6 with us and the place was just perfect for a large family or two. Make sure to get the chef! He makes some amazing Dominican food. Great Birthmonth!

My wife, Lisa, is blessed with an entire birthmonth each year. every November, she requests/demands that we celebrate the entire month for her Nov 14 birthday. This year, the big plan for the actual day was to spend a week in the Dominican Republic. For accommodations, we chose Villa Leone. Our only comment is: STUNNING! The Villa was exactly as advertised, with each room tastefully furnished, and an island mentality throughout, including the high-end frozen drink mixer in the kitchen. The grounds were maintained to 5-star standards, with daily service for both the inside and outside. The view from the pool and hot tub will cause you to seriously consider not returning to the mainland! At the advice of Mr. Leone, we hired a local chef and requested the services of his local Manager as our driver. Both were excellent recommendations! Don't plan on moving for awhile after you have one of Catolina's freshly-prepared meals. It's an incredible amount of food, presented as a small work of art! Every meal was delcious, and he even cooked the fish we caught while deep-sea fishing. A true gem for the property is the services of the local Manager, Mike. Mr. Leone has really found a keeper in this gentlemen. We met his family when he picked us up at the airport and he provided whatever services we needed on our trip. A fluent English speaker, as well as a local, Mike paved the way for us in all the local establishments and was always available for trips or to just walk through Cabarete with us, explaining the island. I don't know how the actual repair service was at Villa Leone, because nothing was broken and nothing needed repairs during our stay. All in all, I have to give this property a 5-star rating and would highly recommend anyone wishing to indulge themselves in the beautiful Dominican Republic to make the right choice and book Villa Leone, it is a jewel in the Caribbean!"

Everything I Expected it to be and More

I organized a bachelor party for my friend at Villa Leone, and it was ridiculous how nice of a setting the place was. The hot tub leads right onto your private beach setting. The area is very safe with a small gated community, and guard on watch, and for a little bit extra you can have yourself a private chef (highly recommended). We ate like kings and lived in pristine luxury. Would definitely do it again.

I HAVE BEEN COMMING TO DOMINICAN REPUBLIC FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS. I HAVE NEVER HAD AS MUCH FUN AS I DID ON THIS TRIP. MY WHOLE FAMILY CAME ON THIS TRIP, AND WE ALL HAD A BLAST. MY MOTHER IS STILL TALKING ABOUT IT. IT WAS A GREAT FAMILY VACATION. THE STAFF WAS EXCELENT. THE COOK WAS EXCELENT. THANX FRANK FOR EVERYTHING. Wonderful quiet beachfront setting at Villa Leone

We recently spent a week at Villa Leone and had a wonderful time. The setting is beautiful - directly on a quiet beach with a beautiful L-shaped pool and a hot tub. Although the water is a bit rough at that beach, we enjoyed ourselves riding the waves. The outdoor space is great. There is a wonderful swinging circular bed in a gazebo on the beach - great for afternoon naps. Inside, the house is nicely decorated and well-maintained. We loved our housekeeper Patria. She was etremely helpful yet unobtrusive. Although our Spanish language skills are poor, we had no problem communicating with her with creative mixes of sign language and Spanish and English vocabulary. The villa is in a quiet location, but only a few minutes from a grocery store, ATM, and lots of restaurants. The owner Frank was very easy to work with. We were met at the airport and taken to the house and shown how everything works. I would recommend Villa Leone without hesitation and hope to go back.

From our pick up at the airport by Mike to the waking sound of ocean waves each morning it was a vacation to rival all vacations. The walks on the beach each day were wonderful - hardly anyone was in sight! The house was extremely well kept and the security superb. I would highly recommend this house rental to anyone looking for a high quality home that is directly on the ocean in a town that has wonderful residents and breathtaking views! Paradise At Villa Leone Deborah24 Western Massachusetts Review Submitted: March 1, 2010 Date of Stay: February 2010 Frank Leone has put the effort into creating a vacation at the Villa Leone that exceeds ones’ expectations. At least this was so recently for my daughter, son-in-law, husband and me. After a smooth flight through Newark, NJ, we were met by the friendly, helpful and extremely competent manager of the property, Mike. Mike stopped so we could purchase wine but he had already stocked the villa with some basic provisions for us. Mike speaks excellent English and is very knowledgeable. The villa is beautiful, comfortably furnished, well maintained and cleaned daily by Patria, the maid/housekeeper. In fact, we had made arrangements for Patria to have a wonderful meal awaiting our arrival. Mike took the time to over go over a check list of the workings of various aspects of the property. It is evident that Frank is a hands-on owner who has not only maintained but continued to upgrade this beautiful home. The beach location and grounds are a delight to eye. We had very reasonably priced massages at the villa the next day and used the services of Chef Catalino for four days of our stay, also arranged through Frank. Every meal was delicious and he makes the best conch fritters I have ever had. For seven days we were pampered which contributed to what we all agreed was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. We were so content, only one of us went horseback riding and we only left the villa once for a brief visit into Cabarete. The other aspect that greatly contributes to an enjoyable vacation is the people where you are staying. Mike stopped by or phoned us everyday to be certain we had everything we needed. Patria, my new Dominican Republican Amiga, could not do enough for my family and me. She is a delightful lady and she and I enjoyed conversing in our developing Spanish/English about our families. Everyone including maintenance, grounds keepers and guards warmly greeted us daily. At the end, we felt that we were leaving new friends whom we look forward to seeing again next year. Recommended for: Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway

Of course, the villa would be nothing without our hard working and friendly staff. I totally agree with you on the conch fritters! They are amazing. I had Catalino cook for an all day party this past week. He did huevos rancheros for breakfast, mero ceviche for lunch and conch fritters and chicken, beef and pork tacos for dinner. Amazing Vacation

Everything about our vacation was wonderful!!! Villa Leone couldn't have been any nicer. The owners take impeccable care of this property and sincerely want everyone that stays there to have a great time. The house is centrally located, fully equipped, clean and comfortable. This property is everything it says it is and MORE. We travelled with a small child and were worried that it might not be convenient, but the proximity to the beach was great and the pool was perfect. We were able to rent horses with a guide right from the beachfront of Villa Leone and had a great adventure riding and stopping at a very local place for lunch. I look forward to returning to Cabarete and will stay at Villa Leone time and time again.

Villa Leone is Paradise

I spent the week at Villa Leone with my family and it was a lot of fun and very relaxing (all ages, children to adults). I recommend starting out with a massage when you get there. It was one of the best massages I've ever had and a great way to start out the week. It can be scheduled through the owner and done right on the beach if you'd like. With an infinity pool, hot tub and poolside bar overlooking the ocean you don't have to leave the house if you don't want to! There's also nothing like napping on the beach in the hammock under the palm trees. The restaurants in town have a good variety of great food and there's also dancing at night. We went horseback riding on the beach, checked out the casinos, and enjoyed sunbathing while watching the kite and windsurfers. It is also a nice walk on the beach into town from Villa Leone. The house has everything you need and more. The owner has clearly taken great care to make sure staying at Villa Leone is a great experience for its visitors. I would highly recommend Villa Leone to family and friends.
