We designed and built an amazing home on the most beautiful beach in the US - Grayton Beach. It is peaceful and quiet- on even the busiest of holidays. Our home is located on the eastern corner of charming Old Grayton, one lot from the State Park.
Where else can you lounge on your own deck and watch herons and mallards on Western Lake (see activities), watch porpoises swim in the Gulf and watch the sunset to the west over Grayton's beautiful dunes? The sand is the whitest of white, the beach is deep and the water is clear and blue.
We designed and built a beautiful, comfortable and tasteful home with the best of the best. It is furnished with comfortable furniture, antiques and collectible artwork. We have tempurpedic mattresses, fine linens and good pillows.
We used an award winning kitchen/bath designer and custom cabinets throughout the house. It was also designed to accomodate those with special needs- offering a commercial elevator and handicap accessible full bath. We used only non toxic materials and products- from the sub flooring to the paint. We loved the home in the movie, Somethings Got To Give, so you will experience that same calm and comfortable feel to our kitchen and living area.
You will enter on the ground floor where there is a large laundry/mud room, a half bath and a dry heat sauna. The second floor has an adorable bunk room with six extra long twin beds, with reading lights and "train-like" curtains. There is a large "fun" full bath that is handicap accessible. It has a pebble floor and a large rain forest shower head.
There are three masters. One has a king bed, a wonderful corner view of both the lake and ocean, and a large shower. The second master has a queen bed, great views, a large bathroom with a vanity and shower. The third master also has wonderful views, a queen bed and a sofa, a large vanity, a bidet, a shower and a freestanding tub. It also has an outdoor shower off of the main indoor shower.
All indoor shower heads are full flow rain forest heads. We have a constant hot water system so that you will never run out of hot water. All masters exit onto a large screened porch with two hanging beds/swings. These are a great spot for an afternoon nap or a good night's sleep- for those who want to get even closer to nature. There is also an outdoor ping pong table on the screened porch.
The top floor is the "living" floor- and offers amazing beauty- both indoors and out. There is a large "Cooks Kitchen" (see amenities), granite counter tops and all stainless appliances. There is plenty of custom comfortable seating, a charming fireplace with gas logs, a large flat screen television and a unique seven foot square dining table for the whole family to eat or play games.
There is a full bath on this level and a private study with a day bed, a computer, printer, basic office supplies, internet access and a weather station. A small screened porch is off of the study with views of Eastern Lake.
Our house is non smoking, but this porch is a great outdoor place for a cigar and a game of poker. There is a large deck on this level with unparalleled views. There is an oversize hanging bed/swing, a dining table and other seating. There is also an uncovered deck for sunning with a spiral staircase to the lower deck.
