Whales, Turtles, Vistas, relaxation, activity, peace its all here.. The Hawaii House was fabulous. We sat along the sea wall for hours watching whales blow, tail flop and breech just off the coast. Turtles would swim by in the morning and afternoon en route to the daily feeding ground, we walked down to the feeding reef and saw 18 turtles in 90 minutes. The nearby town of Haleiwa has all you may need, galleries, food, shopping. In the sports locker there were swim fins and fishing poles left by previous guests. The kitchen was well appointed as we cooked all dinners at home enjoying the view and song of the sea. A short drive to the end of the road was a nice day trip observing windsurfers, hiking, beach waking etc. Beautiful beaches a short walk in both directions outstanding beach glass collecting opportunities in both places. Dillingham Airstrip offered great opportunities to watch parachutes decorate the blue sky we could occasionally hear them enjoying their experience as they descended to the landing field. We would return without hesitation.

We brought our children and my parents along on our first Hawaiian trip and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hawaii House. The house in itself was magnificent, the location was heavenly. I loved the seawall, kayaks and beach steps away was awesome. Very private and quiet location. loved the brickette BBQ and kitchen was great. loved the master bdrm and outdoor shower was superb. I would recommend this house to any family, it was clean and well kept. Beaches were heavenly around this house. We loved it. Thanks a lot Gary!

The description of the location was accurate regarding the location,and rental's appearance and amenities. some of the lawn furniture was a little old, but still functional. We enjoyed the extras!!!!! Everything was very clean and nice. Penny was great to talk too and very helpful. Yes we would recommend this place to anyone it is nice as it accommodates a lot of people. The only thing we were somewhat disapointed in was we couldn't walk along the beach . We didn't think a couple of feet would be washed away. It's a beautiful view that everyone should get to experience once in there life!! Stop at one of the Shrimp Trucks yum!!! Sky diving right over this place awesome! Drive to Haleiwa and get some shaved ice, check out all of the beaches along the coast, especially wiamiea bay, great body surfing! Snorkel at sharks cove and hanauma bay, excellent! bring good water shoes! Kayak to chine-man's hat, if daring hike to the top, beautiful views-rent a truck to transport kayaks! Hike some water falls and shop at the international market place in Waikiki, bargain shopping, great little mom and pop shop two blocks north i think from the puka dog stand, by a McDonalds, great deals and very nice people-better prices than the market place!! Paradise Cove Luau excellent! Must see Pearl Harbor-plan on a day to see!!

Where do I even start? We had such a wonderful time at the Hawaii House. We rented the house along with another couple and had a fabulous time. The house is EXACTLY as advertised, which is very important because sometimes renting something "sight un-seen" makes me nervous. In fact, while we were taking pictures, sometimes we would realize they looked exactly like the ones posted online already. The area is just fabulous. Vacationing in a home is so superior to any hotel/resort vacation. The house is well equipped from the kitchen, to the bathroom (towels, toiletries, etc), to the outdoor activities (reef shoes, kayaks, grill, etc). We enjoyed walking up and down the beach right outside our backyard, as well as driving into Haleiwa and investigating other beaches (and even finding some deserted beaches! What a treat!). Additionally, loved the dining in Haleiwa as well. We had a wonderful time and if we ever get a chance to come back to Hawaii, we would definitely stay here! Probably would love to come back in the winter months to see the differences, ie whales and surf. We did get to see many turtles (in the water outside the house), at Turtle Beach, and even a sunning turtle on a little deserted beach. We highly recommend renting Hawaii House, Gary & Krista were a pleasure to work with and so professional and helpful as was Penny. A+! Thank you again!

Gary & Krista~ Thank you so much for the use of your home. It was absolutly amazing and perfect for our group of 9. There was plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed and more. Waking up to the sunrise & the sounds of the ocean were wonderful. The sunsets from the backyard were the most beautiful we've ever seen. We had sea turtles that came to visit almost every morning and every night. We traveled the Island as much as possible during our stay, but I must say nothing can compare to returning back to the house on the North Shore. It was really our favorite part of the whole Island. This was by far the best vacation we've ever had. Your property manager Penny was great!!! We hope to be back to stay at the Hawaii House very soon. We really wouldn't have it any other way. A Great Find - We Feel Lucky

Four of us -- 2 couples in our 50-60s - spent 5 days at Hawaii House. We had a wonderful time on the North Shore, with this house being the perfect base. The location is away from most traffic - pedestrian and tourist - and yet so convenient to all of the north shore attractions. The nearby small airstrip is (literally) the jumping off point for parachuting, gliding, etc., so we did experience that car traffic going to and fro. The property itself is situated on a wonderfully private and beautifully landscaped setting with the unmatched view of the ocean. While there is a sand "beach" at the edge of the lawn, the property is not on a sandy beach (not sure when the pics of the beach with kayaks was taken -- we never saw that sand) , but rather has a sea wall opening down to large rocks. There are lovely public beaches every way that you go, and a great one within walking distance. The house is wonderfully decorated -- comfy, so we didn't feel nervous about relaxing -- and stocked with everything you can imagine wanting in a vacation home. The house and yard have been lovingly cared for. Very clean. The owner was always available for my many questions and the local property manager couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. t would recommend this home to any of my family or friends - or you!

Our recent stay at the Hawaii House was better than we could have possibly hoped or imagined- Thank You! We arrived after dark but were greeted by the sun and welcomed into our tropical paradise with the refreshing ocean breezes on day one. Every moment spent at "home" was full of delights. The whales passing in the distance, sea turtles swimming up to the sea wall, and warm rain showers bringing magnificent rainbows for our viewing pleasure kept all eight of us, even the children, entertained. The house is ideal for island living and we enjoyed all the special touches using the kayaks and boogie boards during daylight and board games and grill at night. The location was perfect and we often felt we had the whole island and beach to ourselves. We spent a few days visiting other parts of the island and didn't find one place we would rather be than back "home." I've already suggested the home to three other families and only hope we'll find our way back to Hawaii House soon. We stayed here last January (2011) for 4 nights - and it was NOT long enough! the caretaker was extremely nice because we arrived late and she was very accommodating, super helpful!! the owners were very straightforward when making arrangements, and everything was as described. we would definitely stay here again. We spent a delightful 2+ weeks at Hawaii House. It was a perfect mix of comfort and style in a relaxed atmosphere. The yard with the edging of sand was ideal for our 2 and 6 year old grandsons. It was such an advantage of having the rhythmic sounds of the surf, watching the sea turtles swim by, seeing octopus and crabs near the rocks and not having to worry about the little ones running into the water. The house was well equipped with all the amenities you could need. From the kitchen with 2 coffee machines and new dishwasher, to the outdoors with 4 kayaks, life vests, fishing equipment and many toys for the kids. We attended our sons Masters graduation from UH and celebrated his engagement to a wonderful young woman. Our family enjoyed the time together and can not wait to do it again at Hawaii House next year. We'll be back for a July 2011 wedding.

Thank you so much again for letting us use your beautiful Hawaii House! We have only stayed at touristy Waikiki area before and never been to the North Shore. But BY FAR this trip became the best ever! We had a family reunion here from Seattle, WA and Japan, this Hawaii House made our trip the most enjoyable and memorable. The house was furnished beautifuly and welcoming, with windows open and ceiling fan on, this Hawaii House had a very nice wind flow throughout the house, the kitchen was well equipped that we enjoyed cooking and BBQ every day. There were also portable beach chairs, sheets,baloons and kayaks for guests use and we found them very kind and convenient. We also enjoyed exploring cute small shops in Haleiwa town which was only within 10 min drive, golfing at the Turtle Bay, skydiving, beautiful beaches at the North Shore. We all hope to come back to this beautiful Hawaii House for the next Hawaii trip. Thank you again for Gary, Kristin and Penny!

What a gorgeous home we felt like royalty staying at Hawaii House. It was beautifully decorated the beds were comfortable The kitchen had everything we needed and more we BBQ every night and had coffee out back to the sounds of the surf evey morning breathtaking views of the ocean and sea turtles kept us entertained on a daily basis. No need to repeat what everyone else has already said, so I will be a little more specific. Hotels are definitely overrated, especially if you have kids along. Cooking at home and being able to spread out and "hang-out" was key to our successful vacation. Let's be honest, saving money is important right now and staying at this place just made sense. We were happy and would definitely recommend this place. It was SO peaceful, something we all need when on vacation.

We have been back home a few weeks now and wish that we were still at the Hawaii House. The description on the web site is very accurate. We enjoyed watching the sea turtles playing in the waves just off the sea wall. We all had a great time from the quiet location of the home to the hustle and bustle of the city just an hour away. We were not able to swim as much as we wanted due to the rough seas on some of the days during our stay but were able to visit other beaches close by. The local restaurants were great right down to the local shrimp truck and the shave ice. If you arrive late like we did at 9:00 p.m. and are in need of dinner just call Pizza Hut - they can deliver right to the house. It is a very tranquil place. We even met our neighbours from San Francisco who were renting the next property and were able to chat over the separating sea wall. On one of the calmer days the kids took the sea kayaks out for a spin and went snorkling. They had a good time. Well it is back to reality, wish we were back, will return in the future. Better than any resort

My husband and I stayed here for a week in April and were so comfortable and relaxed at this home. The photos are a pretty good representation of the property, but really cannot do it justice. The waves that you hear each night on the sea wall as you sleep in the MBR sliding door open to the back yard are the best feature of the place. The full kitchen had everything we could ever want. When we caught some Tuna out at sea we were able to cook it on the grill and have a home cooked meal needing only to purchase some side dish ingredients. really a fully stocked kitchen - just add your favorite foods and beverages. Washer dryer meant we didn't get soaked for $$$ laundromat prices as well. On other islands it had been as much as $13 pp. ($40 for a load) This house is away enough from the hustle and bustle of the surfing beaches, but still a beautiful short drive to the best restaurants and a nice day trip into the city on occasion. The property manager in town was so helpful when we did have a question as well, she attended to our needs that night while we were at dinner. Perfect. Unobtrusive. Secluded in a residential neighborhood. We can't wait to go back and visit again and have recommended the property to three friends already.

Great house for a relawing stay

Our family spent 10 days at this house located on the North Shore side of the island. We instantly felt at home and our kids enjoyed playing on the oceanfront yard. The house had everthing you would need and it was clean and well maintained. Also the owners were happy to answer any questions I had before and after booking. The home is in a great area close to the small surf town of Haleiwa. There is lots to do there or you can venture off to the busier city of Honolulu. We checked out all parts of the island but our favorite was the quieter north shore area. We did many activities like surfing, snorkling and horseback riding. Our favorite had to be the shark cage dive with Hawaii Shark Encounters. Before our stay the owners sent us paperwork with more information about the area including things to do and suggestions on where to eat. This was helpful as well. We did enjoy trying the pie at Ted's bakery. Thank you for sharing your home with us. It was a wonderful 10 days falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean every day.

We loved our stay in the beautiful and well appointed Hawaii House. It was wonderful to have the expansive view of the ocean and waves. Our grandkids loved the yard and sand to play in! The yard is so private and the Northshore is the best! Gary and Krista have provided you with everything you could want and then some. So close to all our favorite places on the North shore. The house itself is simply beautiful and very comfortable. It's perfect for a family or a group of friends to stay and enjoy the true Hawaiian lifestyle. We went for morning walks on the beach, swam and went kayaking in the afternoons, and did BBQ almost every night. Above all that, the best part was really listening to ocean waves while falling asleep. (Life is always good in Hawaii!) We will definitely go back again since Hawaii is our usual vacation spot. Thanks Gary & Krista for maintaining the house so nicely and willing to share with all of us.

We had the best family vacation ever, in this wonderfull house.Watched the resident sea turtles every morning.Then the sky divers would start dropping out of the sky.Loved the private beach and all of the wonderfull activities,Kayaks,snorkeling gear,boggie boards,surf boards.The house was every thing that we had hoped for++..The owner was great to work with and we would highly recomend this great house.We had 20 days of heaven here and are planing on returning!!!!

We came to this wonderful place the last week of January thru the first week of February 2008, a long planned family vacation that brought us from the cold rains of Washington and the piles of snow of Idaho to warm sun and rain!(How would anything be green and lush without warm rains). Everything about this home was exactly as promised and more. We all sat along the sea wall watching the whales and wondered if we just didn't leave would it take say 60-90 days to evict us? haha. Thank you Capo's for sharing your classy, accomdating paradise with all of us. We will be back to this special place. You helped us make a memory of a lifetime for this scattered family that got to spend some wonderful "Hawaii" time together. PS- We did find the pie bakery, made three pie runs actually!!

Sept. 2-8 2007. We had a wonderful time at the Hawaii House! The house was comfortable, clean and plenty enough room for 6 adults and one child! We enjoyed the water right from the back of the house! We saw sea turtles everyday! The sky divers were fun to watch, some us of even indulged ourselves! Plenty to do in the area, some great little restaurants. Tons of fun! The Hawaii House helped make our family vacation the most memorable one we've ever had. Beautifully equipped, comfortable and wonderful little touches everywhere. The beatiful blue water a stone's throw away, sea turtles peeking their heads up in the distance, rainbows, starry moonlight nights. At times we were the only ones on the beach nearby. It was amazing!

Sheer delight. I had newer stayed on the North Shore before, but this trip to Hawaii was fabulous. And I have enjoyed other destinations in Hawaii many times for milestones and celebrations. This was for my 60th birthday with girlfriends, and was truly splendid. We began with a sunrise trip to Sunset Beach to watch the Surf Tournament which was truly memorable. Minimal traffic, and a fantastic stretch of beach, waves and world class surfers. Four nights of listening to the waves and waking to solitude and beauty. We had fantastic masssages Saturday morning on the lanai. One woman commented that usually during a massage you are listening to raindrops and waves on the boom box. Well, it was for real here. The open kitchen was so conducive to a group of women sharing the space and enjoying the view from the center island. Reminded me of "The Big Chill" house in that classic movie with friends being comfortable with one another. Don't think twice. This is a great vacation spot anytime.

We loved the House! It is such a peaceful retreat and everything was so very nice. The home is roomy and stylishly furnished. Everything you could want was already there! The home is set perfectly on the lot to provide privacy while not compromising the oceanfront setting. It’s on a quiet stretch of beach and road, so very little traffic or people noise. The house is fenced off from the street for added privacy (something we valued). The ocean view is magic; having the ocean right in the backyard provides a constant display of nature and light. The occasional kite surfer would put on a show for us, followed by turtles munching on algae and even an occasional parachutist would float by overhead (the jump zone is just up the road). We saw a pod of Spinner Dolphins one morning, jumping like crazy just outside the reef. The ocean behind the house is perfect for swimming (protected by the reef and a sandy bottom) and the reef about 50 yards out is absolutely spectacular. The reef is home to a lot of turtles, a diverse array of corals and too many gorgeous fish to mention. We snorkeled off the back of the house everyday and I have to say it was richer in marine life then some of the better known snorkel spots on the north shore. If you are considering this property, do it. It’s a peaceful retreat in a heavenly setting. You won’t be disappointed.

Thank you for the use of your beautiful home. We couldn't have found anything better to suit our needs. Plenty of space for us and the kids....easy drive to anywhere on the island...great access to the water. Our vacation wouldn't have been complete without the Hawaii House.

Aloha Gary, First of all, I would like give complement to your beautiful beach house. It's the most beautiful, spacious and full of amenities, also it's on the best location in the whole North shore area that I ever rented. Thank you so much for every thing. My family and I able to enjoyed our vacation so much because of your beach house. We definitely would love to stay at your beach house again when we visit Oahu next time, hopefully next summer.
