Chalet description was as advertised. Photos accurately reflected the appearance and amenities. Property was clean and well maintained. Owner answered all questions. I would definately recommend this property to a friend or relative. Would recommend skiing and attending the theater. Glad bus was available for travel.

The home has lots of sleeping room and was clean. Plenty of places to sleep, but not a lot of room for much else if you have adults and kids together. One issue I had was with the loft. The fold out bed (which appeared to be broken during our stay) in the loft was a perfect place for my 11 year old to have her own space away from younger siblings and cousins, the problem was that the loft overlooks the great room/dining room/kitchen. So, if the adults wanted to watch a DVD or even have conversation, she could hear everything - not ideal. Also, the cable connecting the audio output to the DVD player was missing, so we couldn't have watched movies in the great room at all if we hadn't brought our Xbox from home. The proximity to the trails was excellent and accurately described. The trails, streams, and beaver ponds were gorgeous and the weather was beautiful! The hot tub was a big selling point for our family trip, however we were surprised to find that it was on the front porch within clear view from the street. The house is on a small lot, which probably feels more private with tons of snow, but feels pretty exposed in the summer. Evening walkers gave us some odd glances while we enjoyed our hot tub time. The drawback to this house is the lack of living space, for the amount of sleeping space, I assumed more living space...I should have asked a few more questions.
Owner response:We take great pride in our vacation home and we were sorry to hear that this guest was not fully satisfied with their stay. It appears that the sofa sleeper had been damaged by the previous guest and since we were made aware of this, the entire sleeper mechanism has been replaced. It also has a very comfortable new memory foam mattress. The cable issue was something that could have been resolved with a single phone call to our management office. They are available to help with such matters. We don’t know how the system was disconnected or why but it operates as normal now. The loft is as described, a loft which implies that it is open to the space below. The Living space includes nearly 400 square feet of deck with views of the ski area and sits back nearly 60 feet from the road, down a slope and behind a grove of pine trees. It is a great place to gather for dinner on the picnic bench, barbecue on the natural gas grill and enjoy the large hot tub.

The house was great. Clean, organized and very comfortable. We had a group of 8 and slept comfortably here. The big kitchen table was great for meals and the hot tub was the perfect way to finish a long day on the slopes. The shuttle service was also a big plus. The owners were a great help and very easy to work with. One note that the skiers in our group had an easier time with the trail that led to the mountain from the end of the block than the snowboarders. It was a bit difficult for the riders (more like hike-in).

We liked everything about this well maintained property. The owner's were easy to work with. The ski in and out location was perfect for most of our skiiers and the shuttle worked great for the beginners in our crew. We hope to return soon.

We would like to thank you for the use of your home over the Thanksgiving holiday. While, not everyone made it out, those who did had a wonderful time. Your home is cozy and warm and will leave lots of memory's for us; my grand children and kids. We will be looking forward to doing this again, possibly in Feb of 2011. Again, thank you for everything,

We really enjoyed staying at the "Gold King Chalet". There was more than enough room to accommodate our families. (This place can easily sleep the 9-13 suggested comfortably). The shuttle service was awesome for our beginner skiers and our nightly trips to town. Skiing in and out was a lot of fun but there is short walk to the access point. The hot tub is just another bonus at this house. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone interested in staying in Breckenridge.

What a wonderful home! We shared the property with my sister and her family. We all enjoyed the spacious accommodations and having the complimentary shuttle was a blessing! Having a booklet awaiting for us upon arrival made things so easy. Would highly recommend this home !

Our family enjoyed your home tremendously. Very cozy and well kept. Plenty of room for my wife and I and our 2 adult children. Everybody had their space. The hot tub got a workout every night after a long day of skiing and even had a fox that stopped by every night to visit. Most defenitely would stay again!!

This place was perfect. It was close to town and the ski hill in a nice quiet residential neighborhood. The place was clean and in excellent shape. The nice big outdoor spa was perfect after a day on the slopes. We would stay at this place again. Only thing that would make it better would be a humidifier. But then I guess that is the way it is in the Rockies. Dry! I highly recommend this place to others!

We stayed 3 nights at 87 Gold King and enjoyed the cabin very much with the most favorite thing being the hot tub. We ate at Mother Loaded Tavern and that is a must go. The Blue River Bistro was also nice with jazz music. Took a hike up to Mowhawk Lakes and a drive up Boreas Pass with awesome scenery. Thanks for your nice home and we loved the visiting fox!

Wow! What a great place! It was a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed being able to hike on the trail that was a short walk from the chalet. Also, we liked the accessibility to Breckenridge. The inside was very clean, new, and comfortable. There was plenty of beds and space. I loved the fireplace that made the livingroom so cozy. The kids couldn't get enough of the hot tub, especially during the evening when the snow was coming down. I would definitely stay here again on our next stay in Breckenridge.

This house was wonderful. It had it all - quick access to town and the slopes, nice neighborhood, spotlessly clean kitchen and bathrooms, new interior and furnishings, comfortable king-size beds and bunk beds, relaxing livingroom with fireplace, new wrap-around deck, lots & lots of linens, and a huge outdoor hot tub. The hot tub really came in handy the night we got six inches of snow. We have recommended this place to friends and look forward to going back.

Excellent place to enjoy the mountains and skiing. The property was extremely clean, and cozy. It was spacious enough for a group, yet intimate enough for a special get-away with that special person in your life. Truly a 'Home-away-from-Home'. Highly recommended! Look forward to visiting again.

What an amazing 4 week vacation, a July we will never forget. The house was perfect for our family of 4 plus 2 grandparents and very accommodating for the nights with extra cousins visiting (10 of us in all). Location was great; owners were wonderfully attentive through the entire process, never a delay from them on a question. We would recommend this home to anyone wanting to explore Breckenridge or Summit Co. in the summer time. We will definitely be renting this house again; maybe next time for skiing, I am sure it would be just as wonderful to rent in the winter.

We absolutely LOVED the house!! It was nice to actually go somewhere that I felt comfortable not wearing shoes and afraid to sit on the furniture! I am VERY picky as to where I stay!! The pictures on the internet in no way gives you the detail of how nice this house is! Thanks for sharing your home with us! I have 4 children and my husband and I and we have already decided if we come back to Colorado this is where we will stay again!!

We enjoyed the house immensely. We had two families for a total of 10 and were very comfortable. The location is great with a short simple drive to the chairlifts. Or if you choose, you can ski in/out with an easily accessible trail. We're scheduled to be there again in mid February and are really looking forward to it. Great Place!!

Our trip to Colorado was unbelievable! Breckenridge itself was absolutely beautiful! The rental house was just about 5 minutes out of town and it was perfect! From the hot tub you can see the lift and skiers on the mountain in the distance. We had three couples with us and had plenty room for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves! The house was clean and was very up to date with the decorations. We didn’t realize how nice the heated tile floors would be until we got there. The fireplace made for a perfect romantic setting! We can’t wait until next time—we will defiantly be coming back to this place.

Our family of 5 had the opportunity to stay at this wonderful Mountain home which is located close to town and to the Ski Resort. It was incredible. We had 2 feet of snow that weekend and were able to enjoy the hot-tub, the outdoors, and town in one of the most beautiful settings I have seen. This home is spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. A great place to bring your kids. I recommend this place to everyone I know. It's awesome!

We just love staying in this beautiful home. It is very warm and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the jucuzzi after a long day of skiing. There was plenty of room for all six of us that stayed and we talked about how comfortable all the beds were. We enjoyed staying here so much that we are coming back again for New Years this year.
