Valinor is a custom-built home located across only one street from the beach and only ten miles from downtown Charleston. The beach access is directly across the street from the dirt driveway (West 8th Street) leading to the house. This luxurious retreat offers the rare combination of both the quiet seclusion of a tropical forest and the close proximity of the sand and surf.

With 3200 square feet of living area, you will have ample room to spread out and enjoy all of the amenities Valinor has to offer. Your getaway includes five bedrooms (one king, two queens, and four single beds) plus a third story loft (with two additional single beds). High-speed internet access, a gas grill, high quality linens, towels, beach towels, beach chairs, bicycles, soaps, and start-up paper products are provided. All that you will need to provide for this dream vacation is food and fellowship.

In order to meet the high standards of our guests, we do not allow smoking or pets on our property.

  • Folly Beach/Charleston has so much to offer and so does Valinor! We have stayed there 2 times so far and will definitely be back. It has a secluded quiet location yet it's just steps to the beach. The rental truly feels like a home that you would love to live in- from the lovely decor and all the space we need for our group of 5 to truly spread out. We love the town of Folly with it's laid back vibe and also loved our visits to Charleston when we felt like more action. The best of both worlds. This is a 5 star rental and the owner is wonderful to deal with.

  • Loved everything about Valinor!(second time we rented) The house is incredible, kitchen is large and well equipped. You hardly need to bring anything- towels, beach chairs are plentiful. Can't wait to stay here again, it's so close to the beach and we rode bikes all around Folly. Great vacation rental.

  • This house is amazing! The elevator was key as we were vacationing with little kids and elderly grandparents. The house is a stones throw to the beautiful and quiet beach. Tons of room for all of us (we had 10 people in our group) and our stuff. Having rented beach houses in the past, I was particularly impressed by the beauty of the house -- excellent rental!

  • My husband and I have rented alot of houses over the past 16 years through rental companies. This is the first time we went directly through the owner and it was the best house we have ever rented. It was exactly as describe in the ad. This house is warm and welcoming and above all comfortable. Everything was perfect and all of the extras provided to us for our use were greatly appreicated. The location is great also---being at the end of a drive we did not have to deal with traffic noise. We felt like we had our privacy and still had easy access to the beach. We will rent this place again and again!!

  • We had a wonderful stay at the Valinor. The accomodations were excellent. The beds are very comfortable, the sound system, porches, bikes and fabulous kitchen made it a very relaxing, enjoyable time.The house is private and very close to the beach. The owner takes great pride in providing the best for her guests. You will be impressed!
