Villa Maya Jardin was perfect for our family gathering; an opportunity to experience all this area of the Yucatan Peninsula has to offer. Our group consisted of ages ranging from mid-teens to mid-80s. Prior to our selection of this property, our interactions with the owners gave us the security we needed to plan our trip bringing in members of the family from all over the U.S. They were very prompt and honest in answering our questions. Upon arrival, it became quickly evident the on site staff takes great pride in caring for the property and their guests. Every need and question was addressed to our satisfaction. The photos and descriptions offered on this site do not do justice to the welcoming environment we experienced during our stay. The atmosphere was just what we were looking for--a vacation in Mexico. Villa Maya Jardin was the perfect launching point for our excursions to Tulum, Akumal, Playa del Carmen, Xel-Ha, and the Mayan ruins of Coba. We enjoyed dining at several locations (a short walk down the beach is Chamicos'; we ate there several times. The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is unique) including having the caretakers provide us our first meal upon arrival. What a treat! We also found some great, local favorites in Tulum that gave us the true taste of Mexico. Trips into Tulum was a favorite pass time, whether it was for dining out, shopping for groceries or personal items/souveniers.Tulum was also a favorite place to go to the beach, SCUBA dive, experience stand-up-paddle boarding, and to shop on the Avenue. Akumal (a smaller, more quaint playa) provided us the experience of snorkeling with the turtles, a chartered fishing trip, and more shopping. Xel-Ha was perfect for the novice snorkeler, and the food was reported to be very good. PDC was a short trip that provided another day of fun and shopping. Seeing the Mayan ruins of Coba was a must-do and an easy trip from the Villa. I would highly recommend Villa Maya Jardin for a family or group of friends seeking to experience the Mayan Riviera.

Me and my friends came to celebrate my 30th birthday in Jan 2011. We were stunned to see how big and beautiful the house is, to an extent you cannot guess by looking at the pictures. The house is well located, in a totally private area. It is sitting on the beach, and has all the amenities and comfort you need for a very relaxing time. I would also mention the seriousness and honesty of the owner, good to know when you rent a house abroad. Plus: big and beautiful, sitting on the beach in a very private area, well run and comfy with nice bathrooms and excellent beds, nice patio at the back of the house for outdoor dinners or barbecues, stunning views, very good location, nice honest and efficient owner. Minus : the beach is sandy and nice, but the bottom of the sea very rocky (bring shoes) and you have to walk to find deeper waters to swim.

We so enjoyed our stay at your wonderful place! Thank you very much for the nice amenities, the breakfasts and drinks in the room and the kayaks and mostly for the very relaxing atmosphere you have created. The fountain, the garden landscaping, the pool, the palapas and lounge chairs are all part of the detail work that makes a vacation memorable.

We stayed at Maya Jardin in Dec. 2006 and loved every minute of it. We used the sea kayaks to snorkel in the bay, relaxed by the pool, walked the beach, and enjoyed meeting other guests for margaritas under the palapa in the evening--an incredibly relaxing vacation. Wonderful amenities, very well run. Highly recommended!

Maya Jardin is the most wonderful place we've ever stayed. We had so much fun kayaking, snorkeling, and just sitting under the palapas that we stayed here more than we ventured out. We look forward to our next stay. Gracias and hasta luego Sherry & Jeff! p.s. Don't tell anyone else about this place. We want to keep it to ourselves!

We just recently returned from Maya Jardin on Soliman Bay. It is a four room Bed & Breakfast - it is also paradise. Our room opened out to the pool and then just steps more to the ocean. The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable-especially the bed. Louvered windows brought in the ocean breezes day and night. When it rained we just opened our French doors and sat and read and relaxed. Jeff and Sherry the owners are very helpful and pleasant. A continental breakfast if offered during the week but on Sundays Jeff cooks eggs, bacon, etc. There is a refrigerator in every room and a microwave in the common area that you could use to heat something up when you don't feel like going out. There is a grocery store - San Francisco - in Tulum that has everything. Also go to Leo's in Chemuyil and try the pizza. It is very good and if you get one to go it makes a good meal for another time. Chloe the dog and Soni the cat were daily sources of entertainment. "Ray" a manta ray plays right in front of the hotel. We made it our daily mission to rescue hermit crabs from the pool - I still have a somewhat nasty pinch from one of them.

We have stayed at Maya Jardin twice and love it. It is a beautiful place on a pristine bay. The hosts are great and do everything to make their guests feel at home. The beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept on in a hotel!

Absolutely fantastic! We spent a week here with another couple, and loved the location, the privacy and the wonderful, quiet bay. Saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed great restaurants. Right on the beach---you can even lay in bed and read, while seeing and hearing the sea! Great hosts, beautiful accomodations and attention to detail! We hope to return often!

Great location and terrific hosts! The facility is designed for your comfort and enjoyment. Tastefully decorated with great attention to detail, you will not be disappointed. You could not be any closer to the beach. Once the word gets out, I'm sure you will have to book well in advance.
