Condo has a nice view into the forest, very nicely appointed. Included many ammenities like shampoo, dish soap, etc. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Quiet end unit. The resort is fantastic. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Great time, great view, and great price at the Resort at Squaw Creek

We had a wonderful 3-night stay in this 2 Bedroom Condo the week prior to Labor Day weekend, 2011. We decided last-minute that we wanted to get away for the week. I called and spoke to Fauna (the listing agent - a very nice and helpful lady!) and explained that we wanted to do something last minute and hoped for something cheap, since she wasn't booked. Fauna gave us a great price, and then upgraded us to her mountain view room, a 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom suite with great views of Headwall and Siberia, as well as Squaw Meadow. The room was clean and well-maintained, despite the fact that this room does not participate in the resort's housekeeping services. This means that there are no maid services while you're staying. Originally, I thought this would be a problem, but we just made the beds while the kids (ages 7 and 5) ate breakfast and grabbed extra towels at the pool. It was really no problem. I imagine if you were staying longer, you could work out an interim cleaning with the listing agent, if you wanted clean sheets or the bathrooms cleaned. All-in-all, this was a great condo: The Resort at Squaw Creek is one of the few full-service resorts in North Lake Tahoe, and it's a great location if you have kids: Multiple swimming pools, waterslide, ski-in/ski-out, ice-skating, a myriad of other kids activities, and only about 15 minutes from the lake (Tahoe City), so we also did some beaches (you have to do Sand Harbor - worth the extra drive from Squaw) as well as a boat rental. Fauna was very nice to work with, and when I thought I had lost something in the condo (I later found it at home), she was very helpful in searching for it, and even followed up weeks later to see if I had found the item. Again, a great condo with great service, location, amenities, etc. We will definitely visit again, summer or winter!

Wonderful stay in beautiful condo

Fauna was an absolute pleasure to work with. Her timely coordination of our stay was surpassed only by arriving to their PERFECT condo. Our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) fit nicely in this beautifully appointed condo. High end furninshings, finishes, with stocked bathrooms and all the kitchen necessities you'd ever need for your stay. Fauna also provided tons of great recs on local eateries, which were all fabulous. Activies included whitewater rafting, renting a speed boat and tubes for a day on the Lake (with wet suits!); trip up the mountain for some exploring ... the beauty and the fun just goes on forever. Pool on site and bar/restaurant all fabulous, very first rate. Thank you Fauna -- for all the extras, in making our stay perfect in every way. Potential renters -- you won't be disapponted! Condo even better than it looks in pictures.

Fantastic 2 bedroom condo

My wife and 3 daughters had a great time in this beautiful 2 bedroom condo. Fauna was a pleasure to work with and gave us some nice tips for making our trip as easy as possible. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the amenities on the property including the pool, water slide, spa, fitness room, restaurants, and lobby checker boards. The staff were very pleasant and accomodating. We are thinking about making this an annual trip for our family! Thanks again Fauna!

Great Family Vacation Spot!!

This suite was perfect for my wife and our two teenage boys!! The place was very clean, comfortable and spacious. It was well-appointed with quality furnishings and all the amenities you need for a family get-away. Squaw Valley is a great resort and having the Squaw Creek lift right outside your door is great!! After having stayed in a number of vacation rentals that were cramped and confined, it was nice to have a large living room with the fireplace and large TV to truly relax after some hard days of skiing. The bedrooms are also large and comfortable with TVs to allow all of us some private time. Two full, private bathrooms was nice for additional privacy and comfort. We also enjoyed the hot tubs to sooth some aching muscles, and my wife had a very relaxing "spa day" with a massage at the on-site spa!! The kitchen is just right for light meals - who wants to cook a full dinner when you are on vacation?? We had all our breakfasts, a few lunches and we even made a pasta dinner one night. We shopped for some basic groceries in town and had plenty of cabinet and counter space to feel like we were at home for our week away. The unit is furnished with basic cooking and food prep needs (coffee maker, toaster, blender, microwave, 2-burner cook-top, pots, pans and cooking utensils), plates, utensils, cups and glasses (wine glasses and SEVERAL corkscrews - essential!!) and a dishwasher and garbage disposal. There are a few nice places on the property to eat, or you can take a free shuttle into Squaw Village for several nice restaurants and shopping. Tahoe City and Truckee are just a short car ride away for more shopping, food or other services or needs you may have. The owners (Fauna and Guy) were incredibly helpful and accommodating. For an unknown family from upstate NY, they made us feel like old friends. I suspect they treat all of their guests with similar warmth and kindness. Thank you for helping to make our visit memorable - we will definitely be making a return trip!! The only reason we would not rent this unit again is if we buy our own place at Squaw Valley!!

Great ski condo

I brought my daughter and some of her friends to this property. The first day, Squaw Valley was closed due to high winds, but thankfully, the resort had plenty for the kids to do - pool table, foosball, ping pong, hot tub and pool, fitness center. The restaurants on premises were good, and the hotel runs a shuttle to the Village where there are more shops and restaurants. The unit itself was spacious, clean, well appointed and comfortable. Just as an fyi, the unit is not set up to cook a real meal - that said, you can heat up something simple. Fauna the owner was a pleasure to deal with as well. I would go back.

Ahhh!! We really enjoyed ourselves. Lots of pampering. Big, beautiful suite with everything you need. Comfy beds, cozy fireplace and a ski lift out your door. Even a free ski valet. and kid arcade! Skiing was awesome. Its a winter wonderland. The spa massage was divine. Soaked in the hot tub after skiing. Kids swam in the heated pools. Yummy restaurants all on site . Price is much less that renting through the Resort. Owner is great. Gotta love VRBO!

Perfect place in the perfect space

We REALLY enjoyed our family vacation. The condo is elegant and very well appointed. The owner Fauna was very helpful. Resort employees treated us very well. Kids had many things to do from swimming to dog sledding. Skiing was phenominal. Very special place.. great views, great food, great service, many amenities, love the spa. It may be alittle more than the average stay but its well worth it.

The Resort truly is a Magical Place with world class service. The mountain scenery is exceptional. Its so convenient , all right out your door, theres is so much to choose from your own chair lift accessing skiing , swimming, ice skating, kids arcade, shopping, dining, getting a treatment from the spa, working out at the fitness center, tennis, hiking, mountain biking. 200 acres of a 4 star Resort gives many options. The suite has been decorated by the resort in top quality furnishings and accessories. Slate floors, granite counter tops, down bedding with high end pillow top mattresses. Nothing but the best And your lucky, no need to pay the high prices offered by the Resort.. Get the same quality and service and rent direct from an owner and save. Thanks so much for the perfect family vacation! The resort's service is superb. Great food, very family oriented. The skiing convenient - but away from the crowds from Squaw Village.Kids loved ice skating after dinner every night, and my husband and I treated ourselves to a glorious massage at the spa. We will definately be back!

We spent a wonderful weekend at this lovely condominium at Squaw Creek Resort. It was the perfect setting to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday and the space accommodated my husband and myself plus her 5 teenage friends. We loved the condo, the decor, the accessibility to the pool,spa and gym. We spent one day enjoying the grounds at Squaw Creek and another glorious day at the tranquil waters of Sand Harbor Beach. The owner is warm and accommodating and made our planning and stay as easy as possible. I will definitely come back to stay here in other seasons and enjoy what this beautiful area has to offer.

What a lovely Resort so much to do. Our entire family gave it a thumbs up for next years vacation. The 2 bedroom condo was perfect for our family . It is very well appointed and decorated. Our family had a great stay at this condo at Squaw Creek. The views are beautiful from the rooms and we had all we needed for our trip. The resort amenities were a plus, the pools being ideal for our kids, shuttle service etc. The owner, Fauna, was a pleasure to communicate with and very responsive and took care of all the details. We would definitely go back again for another relaxing vacation.
