We had a wonderful time in Maui. Loved this condo and It's in a perfect location. Our friends had never been to Hawaii and they rented the other condo on the other side (also Fred and Luba's) of the tower. You can't get a better view. It's beautiful. The restaurant is good for breakfast and drinks but that's about it. There is a place across the street Java Jazz it's kinda crazy (decor) but good reasonable priced food. The store is a bit spendy also but nice to have so close. Dinner cruise and whale watch a must. Old Lahina Luau another must. My favorite....drinking my coffee every morning and watching the whales. Thanks so much We will be back

Great condo - Very honest owners and housekeepers

We rented Oct. 28-Nov.6, 2011. The condo was very clean and tidy and the bed very comfortable. When we left, I realized while looking in my purse while on the plane, that my jewelry pouch was not there. I had left my expensive jewelry in the dresser drawer! I called and spoke to Fred & Luba and there housekeeper found my jewelry pouch and sent it to me Fed Ex. What wonderful, honest people! Thank you so much. Owners live on the island and were easy to reach. Thanks for a great time!

Wonderful Unit, Wonderful View!

We stayed in this unit in August of 2011 and really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect, I loved looking down and seeing the pool and out to the ocean. You do not get any pool noise at all, just the fun of watching everyone in the pool! Fred was extremely helpful to us and makes his mission to make his guest feel welcome. The unit was spotless, and I am an extemely fussy person. I loved that the unit has odds and ends left in the unit by other guest that Fred feels might be helpful to new guest, example... coffee filters, coolers, boogie boards, chairs, etc. This to me is such a plus! The unit is very large with a great kitchen that is fully supplied with everything you need. I love that the unit is fully air conditioned and has a washer and dryer. The price for Fred's units are very reasonable for the complex. I think that he wants to be fair regarding the price and was happy to discount one of our nights when we need the extra night and it wasn't already booked. We will definately book with him again! Thank you for such an enjoyable 8 nights!

Just Mauied!

We spent our honeymoon here. While the unit is somewhat dated, it was functional and the location is great. Really enjoyed the nice lanai with table and chairs for enjoying a tropical drink while marveling at the million dollar view! The 2 pools on the property are never crowded and excellent for lounging or taking a plunge to cool off. The on site restaurant was ok for a quick breakfast but slightly over priced for the below average food. There are plenty of better eating choices in Lahaina. Fred and Luba (owners) are good hosts and very easy to transact with. While a beautiful beach is just steps from condo, I would suggest a rental car as there is very little else to do in the area that one could walk to.

Magical Maui

We just returned from a fabulous vacation at Kaanapali Shores. This one bedroom is beautiful with a spectacular view! The bed was amazing.... and the rooms were very large. The tub/shower could stand to be upgraded, but other than that it was perfect. Everything we needed was provided- and lots of sand toys, boogie boards, cooler- have been left from other guests! The staff at the resort were amazing~ it was one of the most eventful yet restful vacations I have ever had. I would recommend this unit to everyone I know!

The property was exactly as described and once here even better! All the photos of the condo and resort were the most accurate I've ever rented - absolutely no surprises! Best experience and vacation rental we've had anywhere. The condo is very clean and has all the comforts of home and a view of the ocean that is simply incredible from the lanai. The resort personnel have been extremely helpful in assisting in nearby activities along with a personal conversation with the owners giving us tips on the best Luau which was at The Old Lahaina Luau, snorkeling at Molokini, taking the Road to Hana and of course the best restaurant being Mama's Fish House. The beaches stretch out for miles and are wonderful to walk, swim and relax on. I would recommend staying at this condo to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable vacation - young and old - the amenities are everything you're looking for!

June 2010 Stay at Kaanapali Shores

My husband and I both enjoyed our stay at Fred & Luba's condo. The descriptions and pictures were a perfect reflection of their property. The view from the lanai was always a treat and everything was so close and convenient. For us, this vacation was all about RELAXING and we found so many ways to accomplish that. We walked the beach, enjoyed the sun and the surf, visited the pool and hot tub, and read several good books in our down time. We ate at the restaurant on the property once and then chose to branch out and try other restaurants near-by. We especially enjoyed the restaurant Sansei and a pizza place called Dolly's. We would recommend both highly as this was our 2nd visit to each. We were fortunate to have a rental car to do more sight seeing and get to restaurants off the property. We wouldn't hesitate to revisit this condo or to recommend it to others.

Great time in Maui at Kaanapali Shores

This condo was perfect for us. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here on Oct. 13, 2009. It has a great view of the beach and the pool area from the lanai. It was also quiet. The unit was clean and well maintained. There are 2 pools so neither is ever crowded. There is a restaurant right on the property which is very convenient. The shared hot tub is nice for relaxing in after a day at the beach. Fred Reeves was very easy to work with and he let us check out as late as we wanted on the last day since the unti was not booked that day. Our experience here was very good and I highly recommend this particular condo.

We just returned to reality today after our week in Maui. We stayed in 605 Kaanapali Shores. The room was as pictured on the website and the views were better than expected. We watched the whales and spinner dolphins daily from the lanai. Kaanapali Shores is a great family resort, but there were also couples of all ages staying there. We took advantage of the pools and daily happy hour! We also used the Expedia agent located at the pool to book activities. The location was convenient to anything we wanted to do in Maui. Fred and Luba were very accomodating with a late checkout because the unit was not rented the night we left. We would not hesitate to rent from them again.

We stayed in 605 last May, booking through VRBO. It was lovely and the lanai was close enough to the end to have a great view of the ocean. The owners were wonderful and had a local address and phone number for any problem that might arise...none did. We loved it and would return in a heartbeat.
