Lover's Point is a protected sandy beach with spectacular views of Monterey Bay. A bayside walking trail takes you to Cannery Row , Monterey Bay Aquarium historic Monterey, and outlet shopping The cottage is 2 blocks from historic downtown area with charming restaurants, movie theater, and strolling. Shopping, golf, shopping in Carmel-by-the-Sea, hiking in Point Lobos or Big Sur are all closeby. Bayside benches on Monterey Bay make quiet reflection and restoration of spirit within steps. Take a day trip to San Francisco (120 miles) or weekend in Yosemite (4 hours), 4 hours north of Los Angeles. Carmel 10 minutes, Pebble Beach 10 minutes, Big Sur is 35 minutes. Enjoy the Monterey Peninsula, the ocean, Del Monte Forest and Monarch Butterfly Groves. Pacific Grove was a victorian retreat community in the 1880's, and the Cottage is in this historic retreat area. Stroll the nearby streets to see the "PG charmers" and enjoy the view.
