Located in the Heart of Barcelona, on the Ramblas itself. The area is called Ciutat Vella or Barri Gotic.

The Gothic District passes between the two most important avenues of the old city, Via Layetana and Las Ramblas, and between the Catalonia square and the sea, just ten minutes walking distance from the apartment, very pleasant promenade through the harbour.

This District constitutes the heart of the old city of Barcelona where the walled Roman city was located (the origin of present Barcelona). The apartment is located less than 10 min. walking of almost all the tourist attractions of Barcelona. Shopping, restaurants, bar and all kinds of amusement are available.

Also, the fantastic modernist style Cafe de la Opera is close to the apartment, where you can enjoy a fantastic breakfast or some tapas. Good quality price value for money (I was born in Barcelona and lived here for more than 30 years, I know what I am talking about ;)

The apartment surface is 120 square meters (1291 square feet), and the two main bedrooms are each at one side of the apartment, which allows better intimacy. The living room has big balcony overlooking the Ramblas, where you will be able to sit and drink a cup of coffee watching the amazing activities, music and energy of the street-arteria of Barcelona. The apartment is located opposite the Liceu Opera House.

The Ramblas is a street full of energy, colored flower stands and all kinds of amusement. Five minutes walking distance there is the Boqueria market (listed the best market in the world recently!) where you can do grocery shopping (avoid the middle pricey stands ;) and you can buy nice fresh bread to go with your freshly brewed coffe.

Opposite the apartment there is a underground station (Metro Liceu) and several buses (14 and 59) that will take you to the Olimpic Village in less than 15 minutes, for instance, and also very fast to all parts and areas of Barcelona.

The apartment is antique beautifully decorated and has everything you might need for a pleasant stay in Barcelona. Furthermore, it is a family run apartment and we will all be pleased to serve you and help you in anything we can :)

  • Our family of 5 (ages 17-50)stayed at the "beautiful apartment on La Rambla" July 30-Aug 4 2009. The location was FANTASTIC, across the street from Liceu Metro and Opera house right at the mid point of La Rambla. The apartment was as it appears in the photos--large rooms and clean. The air conditioning in the main bedroom and living room worked well. The Shower was nice. It is only a 5 minute walk to La Boqueria Market where we went every day to get breakfast food and snacks. It is also walking distance to the Gothic quarter where there are lots of good restaurants etc. We would be pleased to stay there again. Jan

  • I stayed at the apartment in October with my father and brother. It was the perfect place for the three of us. Lot's of space, and three separate bedrooms gave us the privacy we wanted, and the living room with the balcony was perfect for bringing wine, cheese, baguettes and serano ham back at lunchtime to people watch right in the heart of Las Ramblas. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend a week in Barcelona. The Liceu metro station is 30 meters away! You can get to the Park Gaudi on one line, and the Familia Sagrada in less than ten minutes. Fantastic. The owners/managers were very responsive and were there at the apartment when we arrived. They are lovely people. I would definitely recommend this place for a family or 2 - 3 couples. Note: This is more of an authentic Spanish apartment experience, and you will find it charming, quaint and comfortable, versus a swanky, chi-chi fru fru boutique place that will cost you four times as much and won't deliver the same kind of true Barcelona experience. (And yes, it is exceptionally clean and the beds are comfortable). Guess you can tell that we liked it huh!

  • I loved the apartment. The air conditioning was fantastic. My friends and I liked to leave it really cold so that we could wear sweaters around the house, and trust me, to be able to do that in the middle of summer in Barce is ridiculous. The beds were really comfortable. The space feels very much like "home." The balcony looks right out onto Las Ramblas, which was both beautiful and entertaining. The appliances couldn't have worked better. If you go there, you will love it!

  • Anyone who visits the wonderful city of Barcelona could not wish to stay in a better location then Las Ramblas. It is the heart of the city right on your doorstep. Lively, vibrant & happening! When you need a break just go to the room make a coffee & sit on the balcony & watch the scene in front of you! The apartment is great. Spacious, clean comfortable. I cannnot reccomend this propety enough!

  • Very well located. Really the heart of Barcelona. A few steps from subway entrance (Liceu station). Very nice neighborhood to walk around in the evening. Very good restaurants near buy. The apartment interior is a little bit old but penny of room. I realy enjoyed my 5 nights stay.
