My husband and I stayed at Dog Trot for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. The location was perfect for access to the national forest east of Cleveland and convenience to I-75. We felt completely secluded there, except for the Wood Thrush and deer that kept us company in the backyard! The decor in the cabin is amazing, the cabin was very clean and well-kept, and most of the amenities we needed were present. The only thing missing was a pot to cook rice in, but I made it work with a saute pan. Also, it took me a little while to figure out how to turn on the gas for the burners (suggest leaving directions on the table). The owner, Anne, was very helpful with driving directions and access to the cabin. I would definitely recommend this cabin to a friend and I hope I'll have the chance to stay there again soon!Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this charming little cabin. We chose this as our wedding site, right under the beautiful tree in the front. We had our wedding supper at Bald Headed Bistro, and it was fabulous!! The only thing we did not know was that Cleveland TN is a dry county, so come prepared! We will always have beautiful memories of our elopement, and hope to return for our anniversary.Recommended for: People with disabilities, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Wonderful cabin with everything you need. Excellent location with wonderful setting in the woods. Feels like you are a thousand miles away from everything BUT you are within 10 min of everything. Really enjoyed the peace and quite of the woods. Cabin was very well decorated and brought back memories of my grandparents homeplace which are the best. Can say we really enjoyed our stay and will come back.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.

We have just returned from a wonderful relaxing week at the Dog Trot cabin. It was everything I had hoped it would be and the fact that we could take Holly (our Cocker Spaniel) with us was the icing on the cake. It is amazing that you can be in the country and yet so close (within 10 minutes) of all the amenities the city has to offer. We would not hesitate to stay at the Dog Trot again . . . . . and again . . . . . and again! Our thanks to Anne for her hospitality.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Thank you Jennifer and Bob for your nice review. I really enjoyed meeting you all and hope to see you again in the future. Give that cute " Holly" a pat on the head from me! Anne

My husband and I had the pleasure of renting this charming cabin for several weeks this summer and found it to be wonderfully relaxing...a quiet, secluded haven tucked back in the woods, with nearly every city convenience you can think of just 5-10 minutes away. When I first walked in, I was immediately impressed with how beautifully it was decorated. There was a genuine, welcoming feeling to the place. I’m a runner, so having the paved trails of Fletcher Park just across the street was an added bonus. Would absolutely stay here again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My wife and I stayed with our 2 Cavaliers and had a fantastic time. It was decorated beautifully! The location was quiet, yet very close to shopping and places to eat. It was across the street from a park with a walking trail. There is information on the history and restoration of the cabin. Very cool! We would definitely stay there again!Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Thank you Bryan and Cindy. I enjoyed having you stay at my cabin. Glad you enjoyed Fletcher Park . Come back anytime!

Owner info
About the owner: As an interior designer I saw the potential for saving and restoring this little cabin. It was almost 2 years of hard work. I rent it out to help pay for the cost of my restoration and to let others enjoy this little place as much as I do. Its is my favorite place to be. My design studio and home are just a few miles away from Dog Trot which makes it easy to manage. I really enjoy meeting all nice people that have stayed at my cabin. Many have returned and almost always I receive a nice note left as to how much they enjoyed Dog Trot which makes all the hard work worth while.
Why the Owner Chose Cleveland:
My little cabin is located across the street from Fletcher Park, an 80 acre nature park and within the city limits of Cleveland makes Dog Trot a unique get away close to my home.
