  I have never been on vacation at a more hospitable place. In booking Goose Cove Cottage, every question was answered and we arrived to an immaculate cottage. Wanda was very helpful and such a down to earth person who became a friend. She had blueberry muffins waiting, brought us lobsters and helped us find activites to enjoy our stay there. I would highly recommend this home and her other home to anyone looking for a friendly, clean, relaxing place to vacation.

  You really need to just open the front door to understand why we chose Goose Bay Cottage for our first time visit to Maine. Not only is the house great, but the view is spectacular. We spend so many hours out on the lovely deck enjoying every aspect of the day. Wanda was so accommodating and made us feel immediately welcome with blueberry muffins waiting for us on the counter. The home was immaculate and the kitchen very well stocked with all the items you could possibly need for cooking. At the end of the day, we were happy to have the peacefulness of Goose Bay Cottage and to be away from all the activity on Mount Desert Island. The cottage is just close enough to enjoy all the beauty of the Island and all that the park has to offer as well as any other activities one wants to be involved in, but secluded enough to be able to enjoy the peacefulness of the area. We were three couples staying at the cottage and every single one of us couldn’t have been more pleased with the location and the accommodations.

  There were 8 of us, and for 2 couples from Missouri experiencing Maine for the very first time, Goose Cove Cottage was the perfect place to stay!! Arriving after dark, we awoke to the most breathtaking views! It was hard to leave the deck to sightsee thru Acadia, but we filled our week with new adventures, and hope to return again to do what we left undone!! Thank you for letting us experience Maine while staying at your amazing cottage!! We loved our stay!!

  This is our second stay with Wanda and Bill, our first was at Blueberry Ledge. We didn't think things could get any better...and then we stayed at Goose Cove! The home is beautifully appointed, and the view was amazing. The location was perfect and very close to any activity we could ask for. Having two master bedrooms is wonderful, and the family room and deck provided great entertaining. The yard is spacious and we were outside a great deal of the time. Can't wait to come back!   We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this beautiful, modern home! Having lots of amenities, the house had everything we needed to have a carefree vacation! It's comfortable and spacious (with big walk-in closets in the two master bedrooms), and the kids loved the loft upstairs. It was the cleanest and most well-maintained rental we have ever stayed in. Wanda, the owner, was very gracious in answering any questions we had, both before and during our stay. I would not hesitate to recommend this vacation home to anyone! Although located conveniently close to grocery stores and Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, it is in a very private and quiet setting which allowed us to see more stars than I have ever viewed outside of a planetarium! Being right on the bay, the sea breezes kept us cool in the evening, and the views were just delightful ! I can't wait for the opportunity to return to Goose Cove Cottage again!

  Your house is a truly wonderful location for a vacation. It is private, quiet, well located for serenity and beauty on the spot and ease to the park and other harbors without the fanfare. Our daughter's family joined us, and it was perfect for adults and our grand children, who loved the loft bedroom. Mornings and evenings looking out over the bay were exceptional. Ease of access to the park with hiking, sailing, good food, and the harbor towns were a great plus. Of particular note Wanda and her family provided a clean, well supplied, welcoming home, and they were very helpful at all times for our needs. It is an ideal spot for a family vacation. We highly recommend to all.

  My family and I completely enjoyed staying in this home for our vacation. The house was clean with many amenities. The views are gorgeous and we watched seals and an eagle from the deck and yard. It is very quiet and private while being close to everything we wanted to do. The owner goes above and beyond to make this home welcoming and comfortable! There are wonderful details everywhere in this home provided by the extremely thoughtful owner, we will be back to enjoy this home again! I highly recommend this home!

  Jebb and I have stayed at Goose Cove Cottage over Christmas for the past 2 years. It is the perfect place to call home over the holidays. We can truly enjoy the time here by "turning off" our phones and enjoying the great outdoors. We had a great time snowshoeing the trails in Acadia last year, driving down Route 1 and visiting the many local shops this year, and getting to explore coastal Maine a little better. The home is perfect for 2 or 8, whichever you prefer, so close to Bar Harbor and not too far from Bangor. It has all the ammenities you need. Being on the water, and having the sun wake us in the morning, was enough to make our vacation perfect. And if you chose to turn on the tv, that's there too. We love it here and will be returning in July! Thanks Bill and Wanda, for allowing us to enjoy your cottage!

  We have rented many vacation homes over the years, but Goose Cottage was, by far, the most well-equipped. Anything you could possibly need was in the cottage. The accomodations were clean, well-kept, and comfortable. The location on Western Bay was beautiful, both day and night (we spent some time one night looking at the billions of stars in the sky). And did I mention how quiet it was? If our kids had been with us (they're all grown up now), they would have loved the upstairs bedroom and loft) The drive to Acadia took about 10 minutes as it was after Labor Day. Wanda was thorough with the booking process and very responsive to any questions we had. We looked at a lot of homes and condos in preparation for our first trip to Maine. When we return, we'll only have to look at one!

  This is our second year renting Goose Cove Cottage and again, a very homey, comfortable and restful stay. Every little incedental is thought of so all you have to do is enjoy the view and relax. Our 3 and 6 year olds LOVE exploring the beach and playing in the yard. We've been coming to Acadia for years, and have rented quite a few homes, but this one is by far the best and we won't be looking any further to rent again... we look to return to Goose cove cottage again and again! And Wanda- you are so thoughtful and wonderful- the kids love their goldfish containers and Katie just LOVES the slippers- will send a pic in the mail to you. Thank you again!
