Our centrally located holiday apartment “Altstadt 1” (first mentioned in the year 1408) is situated directly in the pedestrian zone in the city centre of Salzburg - right besides the state bridge, only a few minutes’ walk away from the birthplace of Mozart in the “Getreidegasse”, close to the Salzburg Cathedral, the famous Festival Hall of Salzburg, the Mirabell Garden and Palace, the house of Mozart and the university „Mozarteum“.
The apartment is situated on the first floor (without lift) and is perfectly suited for 2 persons; however, there is another sleeping couch for 2 extra persons available.

Our family recently stayed here for 2 nights. What a gem! This was by far the best apartment of 4 other cities we stayed in Europe. The apartment's location just at the foot of Staatsbrucke makes it within walking distance to all attractions on foot. The owner was very responsive via email and the person checking us in was awaiting our arrival at pre-determined time. The apartment is in a very old but charming building and has been completely renovated inside. The quality of furnishings and appliances is very good. The sofa bed in the living room is very firm and makes for a good queen size bed. There are numerous cafes and restaurants within walking distance that are cheaper than pricey restaurants in the old town! The cafe right outside in the corner serves fantastic capuccino. The Steingasse lane is itself a good walk amidst beautiful buildings dated from 1500's or so. From the train station it's appx. 10 euro taxi ride. We would come back here in a heart-beat!

Die Wohnung in Salzburg liegt sehr zentral und ist wirklich sehr hochwertig ausgestattet, neu und sauber. Und die Vermieter waren wirlich unkompliziert. Wir haben die Tage in Salzburg - wir waren hauptsächlich wegen der Festspiele dort - sehr genossen, und gerade in dieser Stadt ist ein Quartier in der Innenstadt sehr angenehm! In unmittelbarer Nähe befinden sich auch alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Gasthäuser und Bars. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass die Straße vor dem Haus (Seitenstraße der Fußgängerzone) nachts doch stark von Bargängern frequentiert wird und der Geräuschpegel entsprechend hoch sein kann. All zu empfindlich sollte man hier nicht sein, aber die Lage in "walking distance" zu allen Attraktionen und Opern-/Theaterhäusern Salzburgs macht dieses kleine Manko mehr als wett.

Arrival: Easy to reach by public transport. There are very good connections to the train station and airport. We can offer a cheap parking space in an underground parking (if available) near the main train station for those, who come with their own car. Alternatively, there are parking garages available near the apartment (for a charge).
