Why the Owner Chose Ocean Isle Beach
After renting homes at OIB for a number of years, we decided to purchase a lot and build a home of our own. We custom-built our home, so we had the opportunity to make it feel much more like a second home than a rental property. We added a number of features that are not typically found in a "rental," such as granite countertops throughout, stainless steel appliances, beautiful light fixtures, stereo throughout, jumbo decks to take in the spectacular views, stairs down the backside of the house for easy access from the kitchen to the pool, and so much more! We have small children, so we wanted to make our home ultra kid friendly. We provide a number of baby/toddler/kid items that are not found in the majority of vacation homes: baby gates, baby monitor, stroller, pack-n-play, toys, and games. We want our guests to be able to pack lighter if they have little ones!
The Unique Benefits at this House
We added many features to our home to make it feel like a primary residence. We are all music lovers, so we put a stereo in the house which includes speakers on the top deck overlooking the ocean, by the private pool, and inside the house. We have wine glasses for the wine lovers who stay with us. We have a number of entertaining items to make it extremely comfortable to entertain a large group, including beautiful dishes and glasses (plastic & glass), flatware, bakeware, cookware, placemats, servingware, and more. For kids of all ages, we have kid-friendly dishes, tons of books, videos to watch, SONY Playstation & games, board games, toys (indoor, pool, beach), stroller, pack-n-play, baby gates, monitor, and more. We have thought of EVERYTHING to make your vacation the best possible!

We fell in love with Ocean Isle Beach in 2001. We kept going back each year and knew that it was a place where we wanted to bring our kids for years to come. We wanted them to have memories of going to the beach, playing in the sand, collecing sea-shells, having ice cream at the local ice cream shop, fishing on the pier, playing mini-golf, and swimming in the pool. It is such a laid-back Island... that's why we love it there so much.

This house at Ocean Isle Beach has been a fantastic place for our family. We're returning for our 5th year! We have had such wonderful vacations with the entire family--daughters, sons-in-law, and all the grandchildren for these past years and have such good memories from each visit. The house is roomy, clean and comfortable with everything we need right on hand. We enjoy time at the beach every day with the kids, and the whole family loves having the pool right outside the door. We have golf (for the guys and the kids), Calabash with its great seafood and many fun places to visit all close by without being in the middle of the crowds. Most of all, we love just relaxing in those wonderful rocking chairs on the porch. The view of the beach is great, the breezes soothing and everyone has a chance to unwind and have fun together. It has truly been a place for "precious memories."

Our family has been visiting Ocean Isle Beach for 5 years, but this was our first year renting this home. We will definitely be back next year! This home had everything we needed...plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen, beautiful furnishings, toys and games for the kids. Beach access is close and convenient. The pool is a nice size with a great deck area, including some shade. We can't wait to return.

My family stayed at this wonderful beach house in July 2011. We had 14 people all together, including 8 adults and 6 children (ages 2-9). The house was big enough for all of us, and we never felt like we were crowded or didn't have enough space. It was nice that each bedroom had its own bathroom. We loved having our own pool, and the beach was just a short walk across the street. The home comes completely furnished, including plenty of pool toys and beach gear. All you need to pack is your linens, clothing, and personal items (toiletries). We really enjoyed spending time together as a family, but we also had enough room to enjoy our "alone" time as well. I would highly recommend this home, and my family will be returning in the future!

Our family really enjoyed this well kept home. We have been vacationing @ OIB so were very familiar with the family home offerings. This exceeded our expectations. All bedrooms were well decorated and the decks with views were fantastic of the ocean for 2nd row. Owners were great to work with. Would highly recommend this home for a family vacation.

We stayed with two other families in August 2009 and had the most wonderful vacation! Your house had everything we could possibly need. The house itself is beautiful, the large deck perfect for sitting outdoors and enjoying the view of the ocean. We had 7 children and 6 adults and we laughed because we never felt cramped the house was very large. We loved coming back to the pool after a day at the beach and swimming some more. Vacationing in this beautiful beach-view home was perfect for our extended family. There was plenty of room at the table for everyone and we loved rocking outside on the gorgeous deck overlooking the ocean. This house is by far one of the best and everything you can think of has been provided for you. It is beautifully decorated and well equipped, from the kitchen, to toys, to beach chairs, and pool and sand toys. Our family enjoyed being able to all eat together at the large dining room table, then lounging in the living room, while the kids played downstairs in the second living room. The ocean view is spectacular from the top deck rocking chairs and was very peaceful and serene. The pool was a hit in the afternoon with the sun bearing down for us sun-bathers and the kids played hard in the cool, clear water. This house is perfect for large families with children or older adults. The elevator was to die for, when it came time to move in and move out. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. The owners are great to work with and easy to communicate with. Thanks for letting us use your beautiful home.
