Scooter rentals by the hour, day or week. These are vespa style, moped scooters-rent them in town. Schedule an evening sail on the bay. Day trips include spending a day on Tangier Island where the crab served for lunch is right out of the water. Visit Chincoteague (if your timing is right, you’ll be able to see the famed Chincoteague ponies) Tak a walk on the trails of the nearby Eastern Shore of Virginia’s National Wildlife Refuge, a stopover on the Great Atlantic Flyway and nearly 300 birds have been identified on the refuge. Visit the unique shops in Cape Charles, relax on the beach and enjoy good food at the Cape Charles Coffee House. Fish from the pier or relax on the beach at Kiptopeake State park just down the road. Take in a play at the historic Arts Enter theatre, browse local artists paintings and hand made items at the Stage Door Gallery. Or just sit on the deck and relax.
Great place to get away from it all. Or, for more excitement, just a little over one hour away, historic Williamsburg, Busch Gardens & Water Country with many outlet malls for shopping. Virginia Beach & Norfolk just 30-40 minutes away as well. |
