Our women's discipleship group met here for a weekend of relaxation & fun. We got both. This house was perfect for our gathering. We cooked big meals and sat in comfy livingroom laughing & singing. The location is great as we got outdoors on the Nantahala for a 2 hour river ride full of adventure and laughs; and we played basketball and tennis at the Bear Paw community facility. Our stay was very good - the only complaint overall was our trip was too short...

We recently stayed at Bear's Eye View with extended family and it was the perfect house for our family get-together. My parents stayed in the upstairs master bedroom, my brother and his family on the main floor and my family in the downstairs rooms. This house is ideal for a large or multiple family stay. Plenty of room for "togetherness" but also enables privacy when needed. The house was SPOTLESS and well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. Lake Hiwassee is one of the most beautiful lakes I have ever been on! we rented a pontoon boat several afternoons from Harber Cove Marina and it was as if the lake was our very own private playground. In western North Carolina eveything is spread out. Bear's Eye View is a great base location so you are within easy day trip distance to all of the activities of the area. We did a rafting trip on the Nantahala one day, just 1 hour away. Eileen was wonderful to work with, always very prompt in responding to correspondence and obviously concerned that we had all that was needed for a great time in their home. I would highly recommend Bear's Eye View. We look forward to returning again!

This was our second time to stay here and it was a great time again. We love the back deck and weber grill. It is a great way to end a day of water sports on the lake. The house is easy to find and on the hill by itself so that you have plenty of privacy. We recommend it.

My husband & I just returned from a wonderful weekend at Bear Paw with family and friends. This house was great!! The layout is really good for families with children. Our group enjoyed the back deck, fire pit, and view in the mornings and evenings; during the daytime we rented a pontoon boat and enjoyed the lake, hiked in the Ocoee River recreation area, and swam in the Bear Paw pool. The house was clean and well-appointed with everything you need for a relaxing vacation! It's location provides privacy and solitude. We'll definitely recommend it to friends!

The home is on three levels, which provides plenty of private time when a large group is staying there. There is a lot of activities nearby, and the pool area was very nice on a hot day. The home is very well stocked with whatever you may need, and the owners are the best! Very thoughtful and careful attention to all details.

We had a wonderful time staying at Bear's Eye View. The house was extremely clean and what a wonderful view of the lake. Our family enjoyed rafting in the Ocoee Middle River in TN, just over the border. We also did a zipline adventure in Bryson City near the NOC Center. The marina at Bear Paw was a great place to rent a boat for the day and do some tubing. We hope to return next year if we can! Orlando, FL

Great stay and comfortable cabin...best bets for us were rafting the Nantahala River with NOC and renting a boat down at the Bear Paw marina for an afternoon of swimming and tubing...also, "Shoe-booties" cafe in downtown Murphy was a favorite with the whole gang...thanks from Texas for a short vacation filled with laughs and memories...

We stayed here in summer of 2009 and had a great time. The hot tub was great for sore muscles. The back deck was a great way to end the day watch the sun set on the lake. We really enjoyed our time here and recommend it!

We really enjoyed our summer vacation in the mountains. We whitewater rafted, went horseback riding, tried the scenic train ride in Blue Ridge, GA, and had a fun time playing on the rocks at Centennial Park. We enjoyed the southern flavor at Brothers restaurant where we ate several times. But the most enjoyable part of the trip was relaxing in such a wonderful home. It was well equipped, perectly decorated, and had a great view. We enjoyed sitting in the swing sipping a cup of coffee in the morning and sitting around the fireplace making smores in the evening. The kids loved the hammock. A great time, Thank You for sharing.

We had a wonderful Christmas 2006 even though we had to bring our own snow. (It did flurry a little the day after Christmas.) We had grandparents, children and grandchildren all comfortably cozy in this lovely cabin with the most spectacular view. Santa came down the chimney with gifts for everyone but the best gift we had was having our family together in this awesome setting.

super time over New Years 2007, grandparents and 2 daughters with families from Louis, Ky and Atlanta. house so well equipped and comfortable with wonderful mountain view and privacy. went into Murphy, did the Ten Commandment steps, cooked out and made smores, played games, etc., quality time together so appreciated, ate at Brothers and Rib Country, both very good, no complaints about anything, would love to go back and enjoy summer activities.

We had a wonderful time in your lovely home. The home was so comfortable, clean and well equipped. We cooked our Thanksgiving dinner and everything we needed to complete our holiday meal. The views were spectacular and the home had all the comforts and luxuries of a much more expensive rental. Thanks for sharing your home.

This was a beautful place to vacation, the house was beautiful and our expections were satisfied completely. The mountain and lake views were wonderful and the remoteness was just what we wanted. We took a ride on one of the pontoon boats around the lake it was beautiful and we plan to go back this summer even though it was a eight hour drive. Thanks, Jimmy Grandpa Allen

We were able to truly get away from it all at Bear Paw.Our family enjoyed the hammock, hot tub,and deck on a daily basis. The fire pit was great-even in the summer. The fire brought back a lot of memories,as the kids scarfed down s'mores(my son's first). The lake is really beautiful and quiet-we even managed to catch a fish! The pool and pond were great for the kids, and it was nice to come back to such a beautiful house! We'll be back!

Wow! What a great week our family had in North Carolina. We have always loved being in Bear Paw and rent 5 different cabins for our reuion... once again it was amazing. Your cabin was "just right" for the occassion... all the comforts you need for a home away from home. Thank you for being so helpful and supplying us with extra info for our stay! Beautiful view, cozy cabin, what more could you ask for! Blessing to you and yours, The Barry Family

"Your place is absolutely beautiful. Your decor was perfect, every tiny detail taken care of. All of which told that your place in an upper class level. We went white water rafting and golfing of course. Your information worked just fine, and we had dinner at the Brother's Restaurant down the road. All in all, we could not have found better accommodation."
